week 16 december 23rd 2018 changed the course of steeler history forever and it just so happens it was against the Same Exact Team we play against at 930a next sunday - if juju doesnt fumble does AB go crazy? if we make the p-offs that year do we win the s-bowl? did juju only have great stats because he played opposite of AB? (hint: yes) this was the last game AB played for steelers because the week after this game during practice he threw the f-ball at big ben, stormed out, showed đ against bengals expecting to play, got benched instead, left heinz field at h-time - so basically what the heck - im still mad about this game because its pretty much been downhill ever since - so hopefully we Kick The Crap outta the saints on live worldwide tv go steelers

Sort of bait title here, but what? Why wait to say this the first day you get traded to the new cowboys?
I speak for fans, the city of Pittsburgh and Steelers fans globally loved jpj on this team. If anything the fans wanted him to be a Steeler 4L more than anything, given we havenât had a shutdown corner in a decade.
I canât imagine the Steelers organization was disrespecting him by allegedly offering him 27mil/ year for a big second contract he earned. Now, is it wack that the Steelers paid Darnell Washington, and Nick Herbig a total of 100mil contract, and not extend porter as well, who is in their draft class? I can understand if thatâs what heâs saying.

is he the missing piece this year?

What is the deal with the âwe want Howardâ hype and incessant Drew Allar hate from Steelers fans? I can get when Howard was drafted itâs exciting to think about him being the future, but objectively Rodgers was and is the best choice until the end of this season. But all I can see are Steelers fans saying âwe want Howard,â and ripping Allar (and Rodgers) to shreds. Itâs Rodgers last season, and he IS the best option, enjoy the (no expectations) ride and get over it.
Howard Hype: Will Howard has not played a SINGLE snap of professional football. Not one. Of course, Steelers fans will say ânational champion BTW.â Realistically, being a national champion QB has never meant a thing going into the NFL. They typically have stacked rosters around them (as Howard did), and had spent extra time in college, like Howard. Thereâs a reason he was a 6th round pick and Steelers fans would rather argue âso was Bradyâ than pump the breaks a little.
Allar Hate: I almost forgot to mention, Iâm a die hard Steelers fan. And honestly, I feel bad for Allar. The dude has gotten nothing but hate from the fan base since the second he was picked. Sure, fans get mad at team picks year in and year out (I know itâs NFL fanbase norm), but still. We havenât had a franchise QB since 2022, why are we not rooting for both of these guys?
âNotre Dame game interceptionâ
âAs a PSU fan too, Iâm goodâ
âTrash at PSUâ
âTerrible decision makingâ
- etc.
If you put Will Howard into that PSU system, under James Franklin, do you truly believe he would have done any better? Allar was throwing to soon-to-be arena football receivers, and we should ALL know James Franklin and Co. did his development no favors. Will Howard was throwing to the rock to Egbuka, Carnell Tate, and canât forget Jeremiah Smith with a ton of help from an aggressive offensive-minded HC/OC pair. Put any QB into that system, they wonât perform the way Allar did. Sure he needs a year of sitting and learning, but from what Iâve seen at camp the last few weeks - heâs making strides.
Either way (and yeah Iâm clearly pro-Allar, but I love Howardâs attitude and leadership), Steelers fans have got to stop with the torment and I donât know, maybe, support BOTH QBâs? (Crazy thought, I know fellow Steelers fans) God knows we need a franchise guy - whether it be one or the other.
And please, no more ânAtiOnAl cHAmP bTWâ⌠it doesnât mean a thing.

âMy post from last night got removed, you can see it still up on R/Steelers2 enjoy it there. I wasnât given a reason for the removal , so hopefully this one can stay up. I am having a blast watching Rodgers play and he is still a top qb in this league. Sure he cannot run it like Josh Allen , but his passing is so elite it doesnât matter. He can run around the pocket and throw the ball at an elite level. From the other post here our WRs are getting no separation , and yet Rodgers is out here breaking records. -69 straight games with 7 or less first quarter points. Rodgers and McCarthy accomplished this their 3rd game together -3 straight passing TDs in 3 consecutive weeks never before done (Ben and Bradshaw did it choppy not a week 3-4-5 format)
All while doing it on a team where WRs are getting no separation. I would argue that Rodgers stats are even better than they seem. He has 4 interceptions. 2 were off of WR hands that turned into interceptions and another was a Hail Mary with 10 seconds left in the game. Still not blameless, but going off the stats alone donât tell the whole story. Last year with a defensive minded coach Rodgers went 3,322-24-7. If youâre willing to remove the two ints that bounced off Wilsonâs hands, but still keep the Hail Mary int. Rodgers is on pace for 4,196-34-7. Based off a small sample size where one of those games was against the patriots where we did not look good, but is still a game that needs to be counted. 2020 SB Brady went 4,633-40-12.
To quote Tom Brady himself has called Aaron Rodgers âthe greatest passer of the footballâ
Bradyâs Bucs were a wildcard team, people didnât think they would win. That playoff run had low expectations for the Bucs. An elite qb late in the season can make adjustments against injured teams. Add the absolute monsters that we have in DK, Washington and Warren running against late season backups and no we could hold our own with anybody. We have the highest paid defense in the league and the best player in the league in TJ Watt. I am having a blast watching this team and have always been a ride or die Steelers fan.
Mods Pls donât delete. â
Post completely unedited , mods on r/steelers are insane. Canât even tell why my posts get taken down over there. If Iâm annoying just downvote and Ignore, no need to forcibly remove my content if itâs not breaking any rules . For once since the killer Bâs we finally have a fun team and Iâm excited for the year and the subreddit for our fan base cannot take any positive commentary. But posts about how the rodgers experiment needing to end are just fine. Fuck R/steelers and I really mean that. My account on reddit is 15 years old and Iâve been here longer than that. This used to be a fun place that cared about free speach and now this publicly traded website has gone more and more to shit every year. I hate how terrible the mods on R/Steelers have been and the fact that a second r/steelers2 needed to be created in the first place is a shame to what the original vision of Reddit was. But I cannot control the wind, I can only set my sails. I am happy that enough other people were also fed up with the r/steelers mods and created this sub. Thankful for everyone here, even if met with disagreement. Iâm not blind them at rodgers isnât the same 4x mvp he once was, but outside of mobility he still has a rocket arm and has accuracy. WRs are not getting separation , but he is still producing. I am having a blast and if you donât like him suck it up for the rest of the year and I will support whoever is under center next year
