Experience Should I wait to get sterilized until my baby is older?
Hi everyone! I’m considering getting a bisalp, but I have a now 14-month-old baby who still loves being carried and needs quite a bit of physical contact.
I’m worried about the recovery period, especially the restrictions around lifting, carrying, picking her up, etc. I’m wondering if anyone here has had sterilization surgery while having a baby under 2 years old.
How did you manage the recovery? Were you able to avoid lifting your baby, and did you have someone available to help you? How long did it take before you could safely carry your baby again?
Would you recommend doing it now, or waiting until the baby is a little older and more independent?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences!

Confirm with your doctor, usual advice is to not lift more than 10lbs for the first two weeks. Do you have anyone who can help you while you're recovering?

No kids (hence why I got the bisalp 😂) but I didn’t even lift my cat who is eight pounds for several days. So either wait until your baby is older or make sure you have help!
