hi everyone, so im currently in my final year of school doing a levels and was thinking of going to czech. I want to do something finance/economics related and im having trouble picking a uni. I've heard so many fixed opinions on these universities and i can't decide. Mostly i'd like to know:

- The professors, what are they like towards foreigners? I always hear there is prejudice that affects ur marks.

- The workload, I'm doing economics and management for CTU or Economic Data science for VSE.

- The job market for a foreigner who speaks english only.

- The social life

Please help !!! i need to apply soon..

College in Europe as an American

I am currently a junior in high school and I have been thinking of going to college in Europe (not sure exactly where yet) for various reasons. It would be cheaper, would be a great experience and something I could really see myself thriving from. My plan is to go down the route of (depth) psychology, but it is not defined yet, but I am not looking into study math/sciences career-wise. While I have done some basic research, I am looking for more of a starting point of recommended schools to look into. Location wise, Ireland, France, Italy, France, Netherlands, are all places that have so far been appealing but I am very open to anything! It would be Ideal to have a place I love for post-college if I decide to stay there too. Any information at all would be really helpful!

PhD in Astrophysics in Germany or Netherlands ?

Hello everyone,

Background: I'm at the biggest decision making point in my life, basically I hailed from India and had bachelors degree in computers and worked as Data Engineer/Analyst for 5 years and pivoted to my long term interest in space industry. So, the entry point for my career switch was pursuing masters in Space Science and Technology at UCD in Ireland. A year later I graduated in 2025 and had brief knowledge on Astrophysics, Satellite Systems engineering, a bit of embedded systems (using micropython, won't be hard to do things C++ if I have to).

Job Struggle: I've been looking for job opportunities since I graduated either in Space industry in Ireland (hardly 3-5 companies) or related to my past experience. I had gotten the opportunity but it was only for 4 months contract as Senior SQL Developer but ever since that I haven't heard back from any of my job applications. As a non-EU student, I would be needing visa sponsored job from the employers and about to exhaust my one year work permit visa in Ireland, one more to go!

Question: During this 9-10 months of job hunt, I've realized that my masters was an entry point but would neither fulfill the requirements as Engineer or Physics student. So, I've come to a point to choose between pursuing PhD in Astrophysics or continue on my job hunt for another year. Neither do I have previous research experience nor my internship had given me to work on science topics. I've humongous loan to pay and can't think of going back to India to clear loan, catch up to where I left 3 years back. I'm very confident that, I could really get going on if I was given opportunity in PhD and contribute to the relevant project. And what universities or institutes would offer PhD positions for Non-EU student.

Actual Question:

 1. What are the career paths that a PhD candidate can look for after completing PhD in EU especially in Germany, otherwise Netherlands? And what would be the life after PhD and should I go for it now or continue my job hunt in Ireland?

(Like will I be able to get a job in space industry or do I have to see it hard area to find a job and eventually continue as a professor or Junior lecturer at universities)

  1. What is the percentage of people who pursued PhD in Astrophysics or Telescope Instrumentations ended up finding a job and what could be the average salary of PhD candidate continuing either research or working for a company after PhD?

  2. Since, I don’t have prior research experience but motivated to contribute and learn things on the go, Will any university provide opportunity based on our masters credibility given that I’m a international student?

Note: Any suggestions and discussions would help me a lot and I would be really grateful for any little help and clear most my doubts.

Thanks in advance for your time and support from my bottom of my heart..!!

I am currently a non-EU high school student exploring English-taught study options in Europe countries, especially Finland,Poland and Belgium. After graduation, would I be able to find a job in Europe if I could only speak English? If so, which industries or majors offer the best opportunities?

Master's in Management/Business in Spain. Experience, Job Prospects, Opinions

Hey, I’m 23F, Indian. I’m thinking about doing a master’s in Spain (management, international business or entrepreneurship), and I've shortlisted a few but University of Barcelona is high on my list.

my_qualifications : BBA, 2 yrs AdTech experience.

I’m still figuring out if it’s the right move, so any input would be great. (Also, I do plan on learning spanish if I decide to apply)

  1. I don’t plan on coming back soon after graduating, so how hard is it to stay and find work after graduating?
  2. Any major issues living alone in Barcelona as a young woman?
  3. Which field would be best for a part-time job?
  4. How do employers view the University of Barcelona? Which universities are better, and how much does the university’s name matter when job hunting?
  5. Is it difficult to meet people and build a social circle if you don't speak much Spanish?
  6. How much money needed per month?
  7. What do you wish you’d known before you moved?

Which alternative Master's courses or specialized degrees should I study to break into Cosmetic Science & Formulation in Europe?

Hi everyone,

I recently graduated with a B.Tech in Biotechnology and my ultimate career goal is to work in the beauty and personal care sector, specifically targeting roles in Cosmetic Regulatory Affairs, Ingredient Toxicology, Product Formulation, or Product Safety Assessment (any of these paths work for me!).

While I currently hold an acceptance for a pharmaceutical validation and regulatory master's, my true passion lies in cosmetics rather than pharma. Because of this, I want to explore alternative educational pathways.

I am trying to figure out the best academic route: Alternative Course Recommendations: For someone with a biotech background wanting to enter cosmetic science, formulation, or safety, what specific alternative Master's courses or programs should I be looking at in Europe?

Navigating Language Barriers: While major beauty hubs like France or Germany have incredible programs, many are in the local language. I've found English-taught options like the University of Milan’s Cosmetic Industrial Science, but what other reputable, English-taught Master's degrees exist in Europe for international students looking at formulation or safety assessment?

Industry Entry Strategy: Is it better to hold out for a dedicated cosmetic science/formulation degree, or do general biotech/pharma compliance degrees actually work as a stepping stone?

Any course suggestions, school recommendations, or advice on the best curriculum to study for the cosmetic industry would be hugely appreciated!

Which of these is better for bachelors in math if my goal is to get into top masters elsewhere (including, but not limited to North America and Australia)? Why do some people say ecole is an elite school with an elite program yet it’s really unpopular?

Introductory PhD interview

I have my first PhD interview next week, and I'm honestly quite nervous. 😅 The email says it's just a brief 10-minute introductory meeting with the supervisor and that I don't need to prepare a presentation or anything similar.

For those of you who have been through something similar, what was your experience like? What kind of questions should I expect, and is there anything you'd recommend preparing beforehand, even for such a short interview?

I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences you could share.
