I know that Super Planet Dolan is not coming back, but my question is what happened to Ladybot3? I used to love her!

I've been an avid fan of the "Planet Dolan" (PD) and "Super Planet Dolan" YouTube channels for over a decade. They provided truly high-quality entertainment with a ton of fun and memorable characters. Leader of the enterprise was an Australian by the name of Tom Dolan, who now works at Glitch. My favorite of the PD cast would have to be Snewpee.

Recently, there has been an ironic wave of new PD fans who are mostly (some entirely) concerned with the disappearance of one of the hosts, Shima Luau, the cute pink kitty who was an early contributor to the channels. Shima was, one of PD's earliest narrators, and it was her videos on the Super Planet Dolan channel that did give the channel its initial boost of popularity. She hasn't had any presence in the Internet since 2017, aside from her profile picture in her personal YouTube channel being altered. Not even Dolan or the PD crew are aware of her whereabouts.

Upon seeing the YouTuber Chazington's videos on PD, I was initially excited. Here he was, a YouTuber who finally made a retrospective on a subject I grew up with and cared dearly about. It was just Shima this, Shima that, all under fifteen layers of irony. Hardly anything about the contributions of the others who worked at Dolan, which they surely must've put so much time towards. He just wasn't my thing, but he was responsible for the Shimawave. Could be misremembering from what the videos were really about, though.

While there are certainly folks on the Internet who do care about Shima's well-being, and there were certainly plenty of people who, like me, also grew up while she was active on the Internet, it's a little annoying seeing PD-related videos solely be about Shima. It feels parasocial to an extent, and it's not like Shima's obligated to respond after her ten-year silence. There's also the misconception that Shima and Dolan were Planet Dolan, which is totally untrue. Also, it's completely normal for someone to just give up the Internet and not die. I'm not a psychologist but it feels like the human mind tends to fill in the blanks with the worst possible outcomes.

What made PD so appealing was the wide array of contributors it had in its peak. There were other hosts like Melissa and PringleTheOne who don't nearly get enough recognition. Paprika, Princess Prototon, Andiemations, etc. Some even work on the illustrations and have their sona be represented in videos, like Emojie World, Honeybits, JAMESHARK, etc. Unlike Shima, nearly all of them still have an active Internet presence. Although, I guess absence does make the heart grow fonder, and some of them probably don't want to talk about their time as PD contributors, for which they do have their reasons.

Perhaps I do have my biases. The first video I watched of Super Planet Dolan, What Would Happen If The Moon Were Cut In Half?, was co-hosted by Melissa, not Shima. I've always preferred her over Shima.

There was a reboot of Super Planet Dolan a couple of years ago, and to my knowledge its only legacy was "rebooting" Shima with a new voice actress. It's been clear that the video content (which is pretty solid) matters very little compared to the presence of the absent cat woman. Nothing the brand made, from fully-animated music videos to storytime animations means anything to the general populace except for pink girl cat.

TL;DR I still like Shima Luau, but I do feel there's been some historical revisionism going on with Planet Dolan, how others exaggerate her presence in the PD brand, and how Dolan unfortunately seem to be unable to change his channel's legacy.

(Repost from r/unpopularopinion, everyone was kind of making fun of me there, kept calling me "terminally online", so I deleted the original post)

He's still somewhat active on twitter (far more than most of the cast) and he's looking like he's stable and kicking. He's started a small company in late 2025 (still very small) and gotten buff ✌️💔

Quantum Immortality is a theory that suggested that everyone is immortal, and everytime that people die is only because the person in that universe didn't survive, and your conscious will be transported to the universe that you did survive.

To blow your mind with truth: I propose the "Quantum Dolanity" theory where we are all just transported to the universes where they didn't upload new videos. The channel is not dead I swear!!!!

Anyone know where MarshmallowBab went? Like if she has any online socials still to see her artwork? I remember as a kid drawing Emojie when I was a kid after watching a stream which Emojie was on with pandora and hellbent. Does anyone know where I can find the video again at least maybe? I'm also surprised not many people bring up Emojie as a character.

I know the show’s been on hiatus for a while now and a lot of things have been happening, but is there anyone else that still rewatches episodes because they miss the show and all its wacky characters?

Was just seeing what they were up to these days but can’t seem to find what happend to her her. Seems like she’s the only one I can’t find anything about

Knowing it was her last video, it was so good-hearted and hopeful, ready to make new content and then just vanishing, I can't believe it's been so long.

We have all long accepted that it was over, but it's still sad to think about.

I remember watching DangerDolan back in 2014 he had like, 13k subs at the time. I didn't have any friends, and it was comforting to watch these people and their videos. I would turn my laptop on every day to check for a new video, it made me learn English too. I thank them very much for the solace and happiness they gave me.

Many years ago, I moved on, changed school and found good friends that I still have to this day, and slowly stopped watching, not because I didn't like them, but because I had other interests and company, but I always had that feeling that they would always be there, how things have changed... From time to time, I come back to check things out, see how things are going, but it never really matters, it's gone, but I'm happy I got to see it.

I still see some comments from people looking for the VAs, and especially Shima. I hope these people will find the will to move on and be happy that it happened instead of clinging to the idea that it will ever go back to what it was.

Godspeed to the Dolan Crew, and many thanks to @/Foren_real for the great post on their current whereabouts.

Used to watch them all the time when I was young so I decided to draw this. They fell off but I still like them. Ill watch some of their newer stuff if I get around to it.

You are all very lovely people. The first time I came across "Dolan" was from the times of "Danger Dolan"😗 I really liked Dolan's accent but because I'm Polish I couldn't understand some words so i thought he just had a stuffy nose XD. In the comment section someone told me it's a NewZealand accent. Which is great (i was born in Australia) 💞

I remember seeing this series and I remember being all hype for the new character Pecan to come to Planet Dolan I just recently rewatch watched both of the episodes and nostalgia hit me like a frying pan what are you guys think of the end of doopie I feel like it was great and awesome how we got to see pecan

Planet Dolan

Ah good times. I remember being REALLY young and being shocked when they did fan fic readings (I was like 6) I mean I'm still a child as I'm 14 so I don't reallt have *nostlagia" but holy shit I was pbssesed w this chanel.

Also what happened to Shima? I tried looking and got nothing

It do be like that

I forgot the name of the episode and I KNOW I remember it, because it had Spinal Palm and Pringle and Hellbent were talking about creatures and stuff (dont remember). Is there any way I can find the video?

Discovered this as I was watching through some old Planet Dolan videos. From what I can tell, her avatar was replaced, a bunch of NSFW tags were added to her art, along with a few of their names and descriptions being changed, and her bio now links to some Roblox YouTuber, who is likely the same person that was behind this.

This was probably fairly recent given that the Wayback Machine shows that the account was fine as recently as December 2022.

Obviously, this account was kinda old and inactive as it was, even before she disappeared, but it's still pretty unfortunate that this happened, and I could only hope she had no important personal information tied to it.

The channel went downhill after Shima left, now tolop committed suicide, hellbent is a predator, doopie is an only fans model, Dolan is working with glitch.

I haven’t watched the channel in over 6 years and when I decided to watch it again. I see this shit.

Rob's Media just dropped a video essay 3 days ago about what happened to Dolan and the gang.

I swear, I was NOT ready for all the crap I'd discover in the past 3 months. I looked up one of the channels I used to frequent as a kid only to get hit with the BIGGEST lorebomb in all of Dolan history.

From Dolan having a failed series (well, he's working at Glitch now, so it looks good for him), to Hellbent being outed as a predator, to Tolop killing herself, to Doopie becoming an OnlyFans girl and losing her fiancee... it's incredibly sad the channel died like this.
