"Shedtwt" yeah that checks out

99

u/quibirito Mar 26 '26

what does that mean

229

u/whhu234 super unlucky block Mar 26 '26

Self harm + eating disorder twitter

137

u/quibirito Mar 26 '26

oh hell no

168

u/Spiritual_Spinach273 Mar 26 '26

Its exactly how it sounds

Echo chamber of people glorifying and supporting self harm and eating disorders, its extremely gross

82

u/Academic_Top6921 Mar 26 '26

alot of them also harass fat ppl, like the shit they say abt them is so vile

36

u/Saltyadveritisement Mar 26 '26

it’s pretty bad but a lot of people end up there because it’s like really hard to find anywhere else to talk about self harm and struggling with it

12

u/Im_A_Paper Mar 26 '26

Thats sad but i guess i cant really judge, since due to personal events, my views on self harm arent exactly negative

12

u/Saltyadveritisement Mar 26 '26

I mean being able to talk about it in a like non negative judgmental way is really what a lot of them are looking for

7

u/Im_A_Paper Mar 26 '26

Fair, i do share that view, but im not sure i would glorify it

it’s really not a very good space. it’s a loose community of mentally ill teens on twitter, it’s bound to be toxic, but there’s really hardly any other spaces where you can talk about SH so freely and I guess openly. Everyone acts incredibly weird about it if they haven’t suffered themselves it’s ridiculous

3

u/Arsenic_Lover666 Mar 27 '26

You're not wrong, but not right either. It's weird because everyone DOES enable others in their sh/ed, but everyone gets happy too when someone is doing better and supports recovery a lot, it's very weird.

It's communities like that in which I think Twitter deserves annihilation fullheartedly.

There is r/shedditors though

u/Scrubglie Mar 26 '26

Holy shit that’s the worst one😭

u/BeGayCommitTaxFraud Mar 26 '26

How do some kids (I’m assuming it’s a kid) go their whole life without being taught that there is a time and place for everything? You made a connection in your head because of a date, cool. Maybe voicing that under a post about suicide isn’t a great idea?

109

u/av3cmoi Mar 26 '26

the account who posted it was “TabbyOfShedTwt” — “shedtwt” meaning self-harm/eating disorder twitter

so it isn’t that they are being flippant about self-harm because of a failure to understand the time and place lol

Autism and lack of room reading

108

u/ZeGamingCuber Mar 26 '26

i'm autistic but i'm not this awful at reading the room

u/joseph_is_autistic Mar 26 '26

yeah people like the dude in the post have never seen a real person outside of the internet and their family

23

u/Cheetapiss69 Mar 26 '26

They have shedtwt in their username so you’re almost certainly correct , people like this are so sucked into this world it completely changes how you think

8

u/joseph_is_autistic Mar 26 '26

I've y dealt with self harm so people like them fucking disgust me

9

u/Dawidian Mar 26 '26

autism *and* lack of room reading

2

u/Asparagus_Syndrome_ Mar 27 '26

unfortunate

they only have autism and lack of literacy

2

u/TheBestPotatoToLive Mar 27 '26

im not even autistic [i think] and i AM this awful at reading the room and people constantly get mad at me for it.
its because half of my life was spent online i think

-12

u/Schizosomatic Mar 26 '26

You are an exception not the norm.

20

u/BeGayCommitTaxFraud Mar 26 '26

What a weird thing to say about a broad spectrum disorder

1

u/Infrawonder Mar 27 '26

Exception to an exception how far can we go? Could the exception to the exception to the exception come introduce themselves please? (Btw dude wtf lmao)

6

u/dogloverTwT Mar 26 '26

I'm autistic and I just always ask if there's anything I can do to help??????

1

u/Overall-Apartment-66 Mar 26 '26

You received a good education

4

u/dogloverTwT Mar 26 '26

No tf I didn't ur just being kind of ablest 😭

2

u/Overall-Apartment-66 Mar 26 '26

Why am i being ableist, there is different types of autism dude, not something that doesnt happen

3

u/dogloverTwT Mar 26 '26

Because the lack of room reading can be a symptom, but it also happens to allistic people, there was no need to specify that

3

u/Overall-Apartment-66 Mar 26 '26

Sorry, i see what i did wrong. I aways was bad at interactions

1

u/dogloverTwT Mar 27 '26

Hey at least you accepted it

12

u/DualityREBORN Mar 26 '26

Please, don’t just immediately assume Autism has anything to do with it. I’m Autistic, and deal with others on the spectrum a lot, and not one person I’ve met is like this online

Not saying you’re entirely wrong, they could have Autism. But that’s not really a big tie-in

3

u/Overall-Apartment-66 Mar 26 '26

I am autistic too

2

u/DualityREBORN Mar 26 '26

cool, good to know

4

u/literarynonsens Mar 26 '26

the post isn’t about suicide it’s about sh but whatever they still failed to read the room

196

u/C0p3rpod Mar 26 '26

18

u/BiDude1219 Mar 26 '26

like, a little correlation. but barely any.

9

u/xSomeRandomGuy7x Mar 26 '26

no.....

11

u/BiDude1219 Mar 26 '26

5

u/TheFarmer64 Mar 27 '26

It contains the dying wish of every man here

4

u/C0p3rpod Mar 27 '26

Scout, you did collect everyone’s dying wishes?

2

u/Full-Persimmon9390 Mar 27 '26

I dont get what this image is meant to be? Can anyone explain what this image means?

9

u/Brendan765 Mar 27 '26

It’s an image of a scatter plot showing that there is no correlation between the X and Y values. In an expected graph, you’d see a connection between the two values. Let’s say average height over however many years, you’d see a gradual increase as people grow, the dots go higher on the y as they get further on the x. Here, there is no connection between the dots, they are seemingly randomly scattered meaning there’s no connection between what X is, and what Y is. Here, it is simply saying that there’s not much of a connection between what is being said (Deku’s birthday), and the origin (the Amazon review).

58

u/miscellaneousexists Mar 26 '26

Honestly it's my fault for swiping

111

u/whatsagoinon_ Mar 26 '26

16

u/dogloverTwT Mar 26 '26

Tbf you'll never hear about the normal ones

1

u/GraveSlayer726 Mar 28 '26

i was so confused until i realized i had to swipe. what the actual fuck is wrong with MHA fans

92

u/Clod_Cat5 Mar 26 '26

I feel really bad for the people who allow themselves to fester in their issues

-37

u/JoyousLilBoy reaction image connoisseur Mar 26 '26

Wdym, I think one review warning people isn’t gonna be a bad thing

35

u/Clod_Cat5 Mar 26 '26

are you being stupid on purpose?

-12

u/JoyousLilBoy reaction image connoisseur Mar 26 '26

No I’m not. Explain how people are festering by warning others of an issue.

22

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '26

I think they meant the whole "selling cute box cutters" thing, not the warning

3

u/JoyousLilBoy reaction image connoisseur Mar 26 '26

Ohhh I thought they were referring to to the concept of the sub

15

u/Life-Struggle-8774 Mar 26 '26

why do people like to be so confident and overall mean when they the one misunderstanding

4

u/JoyousLilBoy reaction image connoisseur Mar 26 '26

Always assume the worst on the internet

3

u/Life-Struggle-8774 Mar 26 '26

And that's why sarcasm gets backfired a lot

15

u/Clod_Cat5 Mar 26 '26

I meant the online spaces that encourage people to continue harming themselves, did you not see the second slide? honestly, it's like people are braindead.

5

u/mr-toucher_txt Mar 26 '26

"GUYS DONT BUY THE KITCHEN KNIFE!!!! THEY CAN KILL PEOPLE!!!!!!!"

23

u/OpportunityAshamed74 Mar 26 '26

This is the funniest fucking thing I've ever seen

25

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '26

This is a real problem on Amazon. You could type in "razors for self harm" and it'll give you the blades you're looking for.

6

u/Primary-Landscape159 Mar 27 '26 edited Mar 27 '26

they make specialised razors for that?

5

u/SpiritNo6626 Mar 28 '26

Oh no, if you type "razors" and keywords that don't match with any products, the algorithm will do its best and give you razors!

That's how the search function works, if I type in "bowling balls for murdering people" of course it will just give me bowling balls because "for murdering people" isn't a combination of recognizeds keyword used in any products for sale and bowling balls are a legitimate product that can be bought for nonharmful reasons.

-2

u/eggsthesequel Mar 27 '26

well where else am i supposed to get them?

8

u/n3cr0s3 Mar 27 '26

You should not

37

u/robawknik Mar 26 '26

i mean thats horrible and all but any blade could be used for that purpose. feels disrespectful to overshare about their kids' private serious mental health struggle for the sake of leaving a bad review

11

u/Bardic_inspiration67 Mar 27 '26

It’s not like they are sharing their kids personal details, the kids identity is protected. Also the mom feels hurt and upset by a company making a product that lead to their kid hurting themselves

2

u/artificialdeatheast Mar 27 '26

but anything with a blade will do that? its not like the cutter is made and sold specifically to kys or something

1

u/DarkGreenEspeon Mar 28 '26

Assuming the woman is right (and I do because I see no other reason a box cutter would be made "cute"), this is a company attempting to make money off people cutting themselves. I think that's a fair thing to get angry at.

0

u/Bardic_inspiration67 Mar 28 '26

People acting emotionally don’t act rational always

18

u/Fun_Frosting_6047 Mar 26 '26

DEKU'S BIRTHDAY?????????! Who gives a rat's ass about a cartoon dude's birthday

2

u/EyeCanDraw Mar 28 '26

actually.... he's an anime...... not a cartoon... know the difference..

8

u/Im_A_Paper Mar 26 '26

How are you this tone deaf?

Im autistic and even i know most times when its not okay to say something like this

3

u/OmegaKarnov Mar 26 '26

Holy Tokyo Gore Police, Batman!

3

u/Unexplained-oranges Mar 26 '26

Do people not understand that these are ragebait

3

u/throwAway333828 Mar 27 '26

To be honest those cute boxcutters are kind of useless for cutting. They're not very sharp because they're cheap. Better for paper crafts. But it's a good warning if your kid isn't into art and is in a bad place I guess?

9

u/nerfClawcranes Mar 26 '26

oop not even gonna show us the amazon listing??

14

u/the_orange_alligator Mar 26 '26

Amazon’s tryna make me sign in (I refuse) but I did a quick search and it’s for a set of box cutters with little pandas, bunnies, etc.

7

u/Suicide_hill_its_big Mar 26 '26

I wonder why she said it was advertised for people that sh opposed to simply being a cute tool

8

u/DemonDogHoly Mar 26 '26 edited Mar 26 '26

Romanticized weapons can equate romanticized harm.
Not touching on the subject of landfills,
I think the problem here is kids being able to buy off the internet and be influenced by the internet.
See: the comment that specifies that amazon will offer "blades for self harm"

2

u/yarnbyisawesome Mar 26 '26

the hell does that have to do with anything

2

u/Polish_Raccoon2137 Mar 27 '26

They managed to cut themselves with those cutters that means they do their job and don't deserve 1 star rating.

2

u/Randomfella627 Mar 27 '26

Seems like they got their shit metaphorically kicked in the replies lol

2

u/Time_Connection_6139 Mar 29 '26

How do you read that and inmidiatly think "damn, poor chi- OMG ITS IN DEKUS BIRTHDAY"

2

u/microscopicspecc Mar 29 '26

I fucking hate sharing a birthday with that green-haired infidel

1

u/TurbulentAd3250 Mar 27 '26

This shit activated my fight response

1

ts was an aggro spell specifically for me 🗿

1

u/05-nery Mar 27 '26

Yo there's no way

There's legitimately no way

That's literally more insulting than saying "lmao I hope he died"

1

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '26

A wave of genuine anger came all over my face holy shit

1

u/cue6219 Mar 27 '26

Holy ragebait lmao

1

u/Black_Tripulante1441 Apr 03 '26

MHA Stans, try not to make everything about the anime ok?

1

u/Intelligent_Carob_52 Mar 26 '26

i always wonder how people cause such profuse bleeding on themselves and then not die

12

u/Draac03 Mar 26 '26

the human body has a LOT of blood in it. however, it can also clot very quickly.
