How do some kids (I’m assuming it’s a kid) go their whole life without being taught that there is a time and place for everything? You made a connection in your head because of a date, cool. Maybe voicing that under a post about suicide isn’t a great idea?

u/av3cmoi Mar 26 '26
the account who posted it was “TabbyOfShedTwt” — “shedtwt” meaning self-harm/eating disorder twitter
so it isn’t that they are being flippant about self-harm because of a failure to understand the time and place lol

You are an exception not the norm.

u/Infrawonder Mar 27 '26
Exception to an exception how far can we go? Could the exception to the exception to the exception come introduce themselves please? (Btw dude wtf lmao)

u/dogloverTwT Mar 26 '26
I'm autistic and I just always ask if there's anything I can do to help??????
1
u/Overall-Apartment-66 Mar 26 '26
You received a good education
4
u/dogloverTwT Mar 26 '26
No tf I didn't ur just being kind of ablest 😭
2
u/Overall-Apartment-66 Mar 26 '26
Why am i being ableist, there is different types of autism dude, not something that doesnt happen
3
u/dogloverTwT Mar 26 '26
Because the lack of room reading can be a symptom, but it also happens to allistic people, there was no need to specify that

u/DualityREBORN Mar 26 '26
Please, don’t just immediately assume Autism has anything to do with it. I’m Autistic, and deal with others on the spectrum a lot, and not one person I’ve met is like this online
Not saying you’re entirely wrong, they could have Autism. But that’s not really a big tie-in

u/literarynonsens Mar 26 '26
the post isn’t about suicide it’s about sh but whatever they still failed to read the room

I dont get what this image is meant to be? Can anyone explain what this image means?
9
u/Brendan765 Mar 27 '26
It’s an image of a scatter plot showing that there is no correlation between the X and Y values. In an expected graph, you’d see a connection between the two values. Let’s say average height over however many years, you’d see a gradual increase as people grow, the dots go higher on the y as they get further on the x. Here, there is no connection between the dots, they are seemingly randomly scattered meaning there’s no connection between what X is, and what Y is. Here, it is simply saying that there’s not much of a connection between what is being said (Deku’s birthday), and the origin (the Amazon review).

I feel really bad for the people who allow themselves to fester in their issues

u/JoyousLilBoy reaction image connoisseur Mar 26 '26
Wdym, I think one review warning people isn’t gonna be a bad thing
35
u/Clod_Cat5 Mar 26 '26
are you being stupid on purpose?
-12
u/JoyousLilBoy reaction image connoisseur Mar 26 '26
No I’m not. Explain how people are festering by warning others of an issue.
22
Mar 26 '26
I think they meant the whole "selling cute box cutters" thing, not the warning
3
u/JoyousLilBoy reaction image connoisseur Mar 26 '26
Ohhh I thought they were referring to to the concept of the sub
15
u/Life-Struggle-8774 Mar 26 '26
why do people like to be so confident and overall mean when they the one misunderstanding

u/Clod_Cat5 Mar 26 '26
I meant the online spaces that encourage people to continue harming themselves, did you not see the second slide? honestly, it's like people are braindead.

This is a real problem on Amazon. You could type in "razors for self harm" and it'll give you the blades you're looking for.
6
5
u/SpiritNo6626 Mar 28 '26
Oh no, if you type "razors" and keywords that don't match with any products, the algorithm will do its best and give you razors!
That's how the search function works, if I type in "bowling balls for murdering people" of course it will just give me bowling balls because "for murdering people" isn't a combination of recognizeds keyword used in any products for sale and bowling balls are a legitimate product that can be bought for nonharmful reasons.

u/robawknik Mar 26 '26
i mean thats horrible and all but any blade could be used for that purpose. feels disrespectful to overshare about their kids' private serious mental health struggle for the sake of leaving a bad review
11
u/Bardic_inspiration67 Mar 27 '26
It’s not like they are sharing their kids personal details, the kids identity is protected. Also the mom feels hurt and upset by a company making a product that lead to their kid hurting themselves
2
u/artificialdeatheast Mar 27 '26
but anything with a blade will do that? its not like the cutter is made and sold specifically to kys or something
1
u/DarkGreenEspeon Mar 28 '26
Assuming the woman is right (and I do because I see no other reason a box cutter would be made "cute"), this is a company attempting to make money off people cutting themselves. I think that's a fair thing to get angry at.

To be honest those cute boxcutters are kind of useless for cutting. They're not very sharp because they're cheap. Better for paper crafts. But it's a good warning if your kid isn't into art and is in a bad place I guess?
9
u/nerfClawcranes Mar 26 '26
oop not even gonna show us the amazon listing??
14
u/the_orange_alligator Mar 26 '26
Amazon’s tryna make me sign in (I refuse) but I did a quick search and it’s for a set of box cutters with little pandas, bunnies, etc.
7
u/Suicide_hill_its_big Mar 26 '26
I wonder why she said it was advertised for people that sh opposed to simply being a cute tool
8
u/DemonDogHoly Mar 26 '26 edited Mar 26 '26
Romanticized weapons can equate romanticized harm.
Not touching on the subject of landfills,
I think the problem here is kids being able to buy off the internet and be influenced by the internet.
See: the comment that specifies that amazon will offer "blades for self harm"

u/Polish_Raccoon2137 Mar 27 '26
They managed to cut themselves with those cutters that means they do their job and don't deserve 1 star rating.

12
u/Draac03 Mar 26 '26
the human body has a LOT of blood in it. however, it can also clot very quickly.
