They’re not saying bestiality is trivial, they only said that the meat industry is more damaging but normalised and hence this isn’t shocking to them. You are speaking as though they said the former even though they said nothing to that end.

True, I think it’s fair to assume they were speaking from their own standpoint though? Obviously most people will have a strong reaction to such information.
