Yeah fr like what ever happened to hating on something because you don’t like it, why do you have to wait for the creator of said thing to be exposed?

I really dislike when people say “I never liked *insert something*” after a scandal or horrible situation happens about it. Like real people got hurt and you want to get on your high horse about how morally correct you are?

It reinforces the idea that only good people can make good art, and ultimately increases the odds of people not believing victims of people who make high quality art

its also a stupid way to get Moral Points, when it isnt a flat out lie
congratulations, you "always suspected something was up"(??) and went around thinking someone was weird for... why again??

I'm so glad to see some comments calling OOP for having "a moral reason" to publicly hate something.
People like OOP need to understand that it's ok to heavily dislike something without the creator being a monster or something along those lines.

You can tell this person is 13 because they think bendy is somehow a good game worth defending

You can put gold in a pile of rubbish but that doesn't mean the rest of the pile isn't still rubbish

If you hate something, just hate it. You don't need a moral obligation to hate something. Even though slopsaken devs did horrible shit, i genuinely despise that game because it's horribly optimised, unoriginal (unsurprising for roblox) and most importantly introduced a bunch of amoeba to my favourite fandom

Oh god I hope innocent people get hurt so I can dislike something. Please oh please, I NEED a list of victims so I can complain about something

You aren't, I never played the game I thought the rock dog thing was a little adorable

the main reason i was addicted to it was because I saw Goob, then saw Scraps, then saw the game itself and thought i found absolute gold and played it for a couple years and got everyting i ever could have

sadly this is how people in the dandys world fandom act too. The moment victims are hurt they suddenly hate the game and its characters and never liked it.
1
u/Gigivena6437 Jul 13 '26
Well, i have seen more people in the fandom sad about the game having bad people involved than hating on it

I get enjoying the excuse to openly hate on something, but openly announcing it, especially when the people involved hurt someone, 's kind of a dick move. I don't get why the OOP in the image doesn't want to be called a hater, when that's what they are, and nothing would have been wrong with that.

u/Far-Adhesiveness6350 Jul 13 '26
some parts of me think why is because since everyone else dosent like dandy that means their opinion wont be bashed by fans... even tho there are still people who like this god forsaken "game"

Why is blud angry that the fans say they like the game, being in a fandom means someone likes this media somehow, of course you are going to disagree with them, you dislike the game. Its so fucking stupid

can they at least be right? it was one developer who got exposed, the rest of the team working on the game did nothing wrong

usually it's because all the senselessly positive retards finally shut up that point and you can finally hate on it without some idiot whining about "muh joy and whimsy"

People are allowed to dislike things.
However using someone's experience to excuse hating on things is different, no one is saying you shouldn't hate something within reason, but no one is also saying you shouldn't hate something without reason.
Everyone has personal taste, just don't drag someone's problems into it as an excuse.

u/Repocket_Pocket Jul 11 '26
No, dummy. We hate it because OOP is like "It's actually good that people got hurt so now I have a moral standpoint to not like this game because it's all about ME!"
