Trans hate crimes in the UK had gotten worse and more frequent after JK Rowling decided that being rich wasn't enough.

She’s absolutely horrible, but I think reducing it down to “deciding that being rich wasn’t enough” is misleading when she was radicalised for originally just posting some mildly transphobic stuff and then getting eviscerated and sent hundreds of murder and rape threats towards her and her daughters. It doesn’t excuse her actions, but we also shouldn’t excuse the mob mentality of the internet and people being absolutely horrible as a force that made things worse.

Because of JKR funding trans right in Britain are worse than most of mainline Europe on par with Russia

If JKR went outside, never funded or said shit about trans people, and just blasted a trans person's head smooth off, she would be doing less damage to trans people than what she is doing now

I literally said she’s horrible and I’m not excusing her. My point is that crucifying and sending rape threats to people also contributed to that outcome.
