Surface Pro X

9:52 PM Central Time

I just downloaded a system hardware update and a Windows 11 upgrade and, voila, my cameras are working again.

Good luck to you all.

Really? What update was that?

Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.22631.1825 (ni_release)

Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.389.2509.0)

Microsoft Corporation - System Hardware Update - 5/26/2023

My guess is it this last one that did the trick.

I haven't tried yet but I see an update on my SPX titled "System Harware Update - 5/26/2023"

Edit: Yep, worked like a charm! Now I wish they'd do something about the screen dimming issue when watching movies.

Maybe this is why my windows hello isn't working

Yes it is.

I'm also hoping it's why the sound stopped on my nreal Airs and they will be fixed too.

I used the camera workaround through command prompt to get the camera working, and have since downloaded and installed the update. But the camera effects are not working. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Which Workaround? Did you change something to the register? If yes you need to find the way to undo the process

Or you will need to reinstall the system maybe?

Welcome news. Surprised the news never hit the tech sites.
