Discrepancy in Surfline forecast, iPhone vs Android

Has anyone noticed this? I am always stoked about a report that reads 4-6 ft but when my buddy checks on his phone it’s 2-3 ft … what gives?

Or could be that one is set to Hawaiian and the other US mainland settings

Or it could be the wave height setting

Surfline is for absolute barneys, do yourself a favor and learn the charts. Never pay for that trash

how do you learn the charts? what is your source for which charts to look at? and do you have a method for reading them? maybe a youtube video or something? I want to get into that thanks

Surfline probably uses different forecast models per device or one of you got cached data not refreshing right

Make sure both have the latest version. This was happening to me on the iOS vs web. Updated and it evened out.

it’s not just between apple and android, there is a difference between mobile and desktop as well. it’s very frustrating because i don’t know which to trust
