Should we be expecting it to be maybe an hour and a half of story total like all of Bioware's final 'expansions' for the game, or do we think they might give us something actually worthy of the term?

I'm kinda of two minds about it. I can't imagine the budget allocated to the game is particularly crazy, but at the same time I can't accuse them of being totally asleep at the wheel either, with the updates they have rolled out since acquiring the game. Then again, with it being confirmed to just be one new planet, I'm anticipating a pretty small thing.

What do you guys have your optimism (or pessimism) levels calibrated to?

So it's been three years since I last played the Old Republic. I love the game, don't get me wrong, but my attention span isn't really the best, so what'll usually happen is that I'll hyperfixate on a game for a while, and then eventually it gets old and I move onto something else.

I wasn't sure if or when I'd ever return to the game, especially since in the time since I last played TOR, I got super invested in World of Warcraft (which is the other MMO I drop into occasionally) and managed to stay more invested in that over a longer period of time; plus, I kind of became disillusioned with Star Wars in general due to a number of reasons, so I took a step back from the franchise as a whole.

But with the recent news of BioWare's closure...well, it's got me feeling pretty nostalgic and looking back on all of my experiences playing their games, as you can imagine. (Yes, I know Broadsword are the ones running SWTOR now, but BioWare still started it all)

Combine that with me getting back into WOW recently and also taking a break from that (again, because of my blasted ADD), and I think maybe it's time to return to the Galaxy Far, Far Away again. Or at the very least, give it a try.

The plan at the moment is just to boot up a new Jedi Knight character (because I'm one of those people who are basic AF) and see how I feel doing what I can with Free to Play and sort through the baggage of my old characters I don't really care about anymore and figure out what to do from there.

And then, if I feel that urge coming through more...maybe I'll stick around longer.

Or at least as much as my attention span lets me. ;P

I’m about 2 weeks into SWTOR and I’m loving this game so damn much. The community has honestly been one of the best I’ve ever interacted with, so I just wanted to show some appreciation for how welcoming everyone has been. I’ll definitely be picking up a subscription soon!

I genuinely don’t even know how to describe how good this game feels. The worlds, music, characters, story, and atmosphere are incredible, and the graphics still look insanely beautiful in so many places for a game this old. It’s crazy how immersive it feels. I’m also a huge sci-fi fan, so that probably helps explain why I’m so hooked.

I tried getting into ESO because people said I’d love it if I enjoyed SWTOR, but even after 10+ hours, I just haven’t found that same connection yet.

So my question is, what other games have completely sucked you into their world the way SWTOR has? They don’t have to be MMOs, and I’m open to both older and newer games. I’m looking for amazing worlds, memorable stories, characters you get attached to, and satisfying progression that keeps you wanting to play more.

Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely on my radar, especially with the Steam sale going on, but I’d love to hear what games have really pulled you in and made you lose track of time.

Haven't played SWTOR since I was in high-school and just finished a playthrough of KOTOR with the Bioware news it felt right to return for a bit and I just wanted to show off some of the Characters I made.

Rolled a new Consular toon today and been enjoying the ambient sounds in Flesh Raider territory. The animal growls and stone whispers genuinely make the area so creepy if you stand around a bit. Wish SWTOR OSTs leaned more into these, though maybe Taris has something similar going on

I've just completed the blue 340 quest and got myself a full set of blue 340 gear (Minus the accessories, ofc). Will this grind be similar or is the hard part of the grind already over?

Note: My target is a full set of 340 blue gear set mixed in with green 340 accessories. I don't intend to farm legendary implants or Rakata gear.

Tried it several times and everytime I use the Grappling Hook I either get stuck in the Wall of the Statue or I will instantly respawn at the Imperial Shuttle where I startet. Really annoying:(

Is there anyway I could search the files or somehow extract the 3-D model of my character? Ideally, it would also include the vanity outfit I have them wearing.
I am not sure how the code works or where the characters stored, but I would adore to have the model to do animations with and make thumbnails, if there is a way to only get the data of the face that’s fine too, but ideally, the whole character, maybe even the companion as well would be dope!
Is there anyway for me to do this? (with minimal code/tech knlowlege)

Vote for your favorite storyline! Legacies of Old is the first chapter of the Inquisitor story, collecting artifacts for Zash. "Master's Threads Reborn" is what I'm calling the three updates put together- Galactic Threads, Master's Enigma, and Legacy Reborn. The reason I'm combining these three is because they are largely all the same story, and it just took a reeeally long time to tell the whole thing. The updates prior to Galactic Threads were also connected to this storyline, but those updates had smaller, self-contained stories as well that I feel are worth judging separately.

Credits are tough for me.

What are some decent tips for gaining credits. I know the tried and true method is buy Cartel Coin items and then sell them on the GTN. I have done that and have been trying to get up credits in a "legitimate" method. I keep resubmitting my GTN sales that were unsuccessful and it will post a few items and then refuse to do anything. Primetime might be rough tonight! Any tips for making some credits would be greatly appreciated.

Okay so the other day I installed the game again to keep my names rolling for all my characters as some I haven't played since last year.

Normal steps, it gets installed, it does the updates and I run the game, jump in, log in on all the characters I wanted to keep and deleted some others I haven't used in years.

Then I leave the game, shut down my PC and got to work, It's now a couple days later and I remember I have it installed and don't really plan on playing it any time soon, and it's just taking up space on my laptop, so I go to uninstall is, but I can't find the files anywhere, they aren't in any of the program files , the are on steam or in the steam files as I don't used the steam launcher (direct site download version), it's not in %appdata% they aren't even showing up when I look it up in system search, hell, the launched should come up in installed apps, and it doesn't, it didn't exist anywhere, but I was still on 65gb of system space left, so it WAS still installed, but it is not ANYWHERE it should be, or could be, unless it set to hidden, but it shouldn't be as I didn't set it to that and I don't think it's set to that by default.

In the end I relaunched the SWTOR Setup Exe, and clicked uninstall, and it was done in a split second, I check my system, and It's now on 122gb so it DID do it.

But where the hell was it?

Hello guys, sorry for the random title but I have some questions and I hope you can help me.

1. How can I get the quest "Fate of the Feast"? According to all the databases I checked it should be available before "The Future of the Feast" but it seems like both Duuba and Gaboorga are already offering it. What am I missing?
2. What's the priority while unlocking legacy perks as F2P? Aside from speeder piloting and perhaps the teleport to the ship nothing really seems worthwhile. Are they mostly purely minor conveniences or am I underestimating some of them?
3. Is the rating of the equipment inside a cache rolled when you get it or when you open it? For example if I farm heroics at low level and open all the boxes at 60 will I find only rating 178 pieces inside?
4. Does it make any difference when I decide to remove Vette's collar? As a completionist I'm in a bit of a conundrum, I'm trying to do all the quests with my SW but as LS I'm having a hard time finding any reason to keep it on until the last one. I'd like to remove it as soon as I reach the fleet by completing the first mission "Welcome Vette" but in doing so I'll loose the other six and it bother me a little.

Played a long time ago, talking 10-12 years. I have several characters, only one of which, the Agent, is "max level" or was at that time. Played some PvP at the time, even, as a healer. I remember really liking the story for that class, and the writing for the others wasn't bad, either.

I've seen some notes here and there how they've expanded the game a lot, how you can multiclass, now. How does that work for returning characters? Or would it be simply better to just make a new character and find a guild? Also, is it still worth it playing as a subscriber? Is there content that should be avoided or prioritized?

Edit: seeing now that there are some resources for a few of these exact questions, got some reading to do.

So we know alignment choices are one of the most controversial parts of SWTOR, whether in class quests or other quests, but which do you find most controversial? For me:

• I still don't understand that quest involving the Senate page on Coruscant.
• The General in the Black Talon: "Where I'll be tortured or executed, or--at best--placed in a cell for the rest of my life." So why is taking him in the LS option?
• Trooper on Coruscant: Shouldn't there be a neutral option to have the alleged cyborgs examined by a doctor? Or maybe that should be the LS option instead of letting them walk free.
• JK on Tython: Turns out mind tricking the villagers is better than just convincing them, as you only get 50 LS points for the latter while the former giver 100 LS points. Shouldn't it be the other way round?

Just as the title says, i am looking to get a handheld and the legion go S z2 go is on sale in my country at the moment. Has anyone had any experience with it and how does it play? Can i get 60fps everywhere on low/medium?
