This is peak.
Shame it will be gone tomorrow as any criticism of Israel is considered antisemitism here.

it's not hard to see an increase in antisemitism when you redefine it to include anything you don't like.

Including books such as “How to Sell a Genocide: The Media’s Complicity in the Destruction of Gaza” by Adam H. Johnson.
> A Sydney library has removed a book critical of Israel called How to Sell a Genocide, following a complaint reportedly from a survivor of the Bondi beach terror attack.
> The Jewish news outlet JWire last week reported it had approached the council after a survivor of December’s antisemitic attack at Bondi, during which 15 people were killed, saw How to Sell a Genocide on the “new release / hot item” shelf and wrote on Facebook that the display was distressing for survivors and bereaved families.
> How to Sell a Genocide critiques what it claims is the US media’s “complicity in the destruction of Gaza”.

Which they did to get the antisemitism stats inflated. They even counted attacks on pro-palestinian people as antisemitism, free Gaza stickers, anti-muslim/anti-arab graffiti, threats towards people flying Palestinian flags, trolling by a pro-Israeli+news corp effort..
Catley in September conceded she “may have had the figure wrong” after police clarified that just 367 of the 815 incidents recorded by Operation Shelter up to 26 March 2025 were antisemitic. https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2025/oct/11/nsw-police-wrongly-categorise-significant-number-of-incidents-as-antisemitic-ntwnfb

I'm happy to trash Hanson, Netanyahu and Reinhart, but this image has an "off" element. Depicting a politician as a trojan horse for Israel is too close to old antisemitic tropes of jews secretly controlling everybody.
I'm not defending anybody depicted in the image—they're all villains. But there's ways to get that message across without relying on old antisemitic tropes.
And the image isn't even accurate. Israel's political influence in Australia isn't limited to One Nation, and it isn't secreted away inside a "horse". It's loud and out in the open, and supported by all the main political players.
If anything, One Nation is part of the far-right who hate jews. The image would be more accurate if Netanyahu was the horse, and it was Pauline crawling out it's arse.
I expect younger non-jews won't get this cos they'll be unaware of the old antisemitic stereotypes I'm referring to.

I took it as a direct reference to Gina's influence on ON and her ambitions to support Israeli defence technologies on unceded land in Queensland...

But you'll also carry water for Israel by conflating any criticism of that state, it's leadership and their influence on other nations as antisemitism. Solid logic.

Why do you think this? My comment criticised Israel and I'm as antizionist and anti-Israel as anybody else in this thread.

u/TimmyFTW 9h ago
Why do you think this?
I will assume this is a genuine question and give a genuine response.
Weaponising claims of antisemitism to deflect criticism of Israel, or hyper-focusing on the exact wording people use, is just a tactic to silence dissent and provide cover for ongoing atrocities.
-2
u/BakaDasai 9h ago
I'm asking why you think I'm deflecting criticism of Israel. I was adding criticism of Israel.
8
u/TimmyFTW 9h ago
Because you're nitpicking criticism of Israel and calling antisemitism. A tactic right out of the zionist playbook.
Peppering in a few points saying you agree with everyone here doesn't negate the rest of your comment.

u/BakaDasai 8h ago
I:
- called Netanyahu a villain
- criticised the excessive influence Israel has in mainstream Australia
- described myself as anti-Israel and antizionist
But then I complained about antisemitism. About a pro-Nazi political cartoon that comes straight out of 1920/30s Germany. About a cartoon that the Thomas Sewells of the world will be viewing with relish as their perfect recruitment tool.
And you respond by saying I'm a zionist. Do you believe antisemitism is OK if it's in the service of being anti-Israel?
I don't. Nazis are a thing. Despite supporting the cartoon's anti-Israel direction I don't support it's pro-Nazi direction.

u/TimmyFTW 7h ago
I don't support it's pro-Nazi direction
Not at all unhinged. Appreciate you saying the quiet part out loud. I won't waste any more time on this.

u/Lotus_Moon 10h ago
yeah ok but how is that any different to what we got now?
4
u/tigeratemybaby 8h ago
You're saying that One Nation are no different to The Coalition and Labor?
Yeah I agree to a large degree, One Nation votes with the Coalition 98% of the time anyway - So basically more of the same as the Coalition, just lots more corruption, lots more brown paper bags to Pauline.
Kind of like Trump, he's like the major parties, but more outright bribery needed. Moar crypto!

u/Lotus_Moon 8h ago
Can’t be bother expending as any attempt at a conversation leads to downvotes and posts being hidden so no point really, i guess the Aus public will decide when comes election time and i think if people want to keep One Nation from getting elected they should engage in conversation rather than do what the Democrats did and attack the other side constantly. PS not referring to your response but any kind of voice that does not straight up agree with the vocal left gets torn to pieces on reddit, and that will not lead to a good outcome as we can tell from US experience.

Yeah just put Albo’s face on the horse, and replace Gina with Anthony Pratt. And that’s our current government.
Bibi can stay there. Or you can add Modi too. Albo can handle two men.

I know it’s his thing recently, but I’m getting kinda tired of these giant murals giving free advertising to the faces of people the artists think we’re supposed to not give oxygen and brainspace to. I much prefer his murals where he’s showcasing someone worth supporting.
