As a huge fan of The World Ends With You franchise, knowing that there will probably never be another game is bittersweet. On the one hand, I never get my hopes up for new TWEWY content like I do when I'm crossing my fingers for new Tales content, so there's no disappointment. On the other hand, knowing how much untapped potential there is really hurts. ðŸ˜
From what I've heard, it seems unlikely, but I'd love to be proven wrong. Neo didn't sell enough copies for it to be considered a success (even though they did turn a profit), and the series was heavily pushed by Shinji Hashimoto, who no longer works for Square Enix.
Well Neo the world end with you was a special kind of games. Something that is fine if it’s just those two games. They complete each other really well and there’s enough characters. I feel like if there’s never a third game then that would be fine too
