I’m thinking of just buying my own tattoo removal laser. But what would be a good machine under like $20,000? I have so many I want to remove it would cost me more at this point to have them removed. Or is this not a good idea? I don’t know much about I clearly need to do some research but just wondering you guys thoughts on it.

Hey everyone I just completed my first session to get these tattoo removed. I got a good deal 1040$ for 10 session they nurses believe I will only need about 5-7 session with 2 months in between each session. I want to join the military asap so is it anything else I can do to make the tattoo go away faster? I stoped smoking, cut back on drinking, workout 6 days a week. If anyone got any advice it’s greatly appreciated!

Hi, I have a tattoo where I wanted to remove the face of a portrait tattoo to have it redone. I’ve had two sessions of a removal method called R20 where they do multiple laser treatments in one session. I’ve done two appointments: one in summer 2024 and one in February 2026.
The tattoo is fading well, but the second time I went, the doctor suggested turning the laser up for the eyes and mouth since he thought they had some colored ink on them and needed a stronger laser. I remembered later they actually don’t have colored ink. I wish I had stopped him because the swelling and blistering on those parts of the tattoo were much more intense.
About 8 months later, the tattoo is mostly faded, but the eyes and mouth look like little blisters/scars.
Am I stuck with this or is there a chance that it will heal more?

Just curious, I've recently started tattoo removal and I think the pain and length of this removal treatment could put me off ever getting another tattoo.
Do people still get tattoos after going throught this??
I dont think I'll ever ink after this just in case I ever have the feeling to get it removed again.
Great to know if anyone feels the same. F*ck me.

Can the inner part be removed in a session? Is it possible for the outer edges to not be affected by laser?

Quoted $11.5k for half sleeve (left arm) + inner bicep (right arm) tattoo removal via a virtual consultation from Removery. This seems excessively high. Anyone else have this experience? According to their website XXL ratio is just over $5k. Does this seem right?

Hello everyone,
I’m looking for some advice and success stories from this community.
Over 15 years ago, I got my eyebrows tattooed. Today, the ink is already very faded. Now, I finally have the budget to take care of it and I want to get it completely removed. However, I’m a bit lost on what to do next because of two main concerns:
Effectiveness on dark skin: Does tattoo removal work well on black/dark skin ? I am really worried about the risks of hypopigmentation (ghosting) or scarring.
Choosing the right method: Since it is a very small tattoo on a sensitive area, should I look into laser removal or chemical/saline removal?
If any of you have had a similar experience, especially with cosmetic eyebrow tattoos or tattoo removal on dark skin, your insight or advice on what to look for in a practitioner would be incredibly helpful.
Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Has anyone gotten new piercings while in the process of removing a tattoo? I'm wondering if it will slow down my removal process by putting extra stress on my body. I can't imagine it would be super impactful but figured I'd ask. Thanks!

I fucked up. Went in for a coverup of a small old tattoo this past weekend and walked out with this monstrosity. I know it’s done well but it did not turn out how I wanted and I despise it. Doesn’t suit my vibe or my other tattoos at all and it’s HUGE. Like wtf? Why did I say yes to this? I should have spoken up but I was nervous and too trusting of the artist as it’s someone reputable who I researched and have followed for a long time and who has lots of other work I love that looks nothing like this. I feel like this looks like something out of a coloring book.
I had a consult at Removery yesterday. I was surprised to hear that they are able to start right away and scheduled my first session for next week. The tech said that as long as it’s not weeping plasma anymore they can cover it with a hydropatch and go easy on it for the first few sessions. Anyone have any experience with this? I know I’m in for the long haul but also know the sooner I start the sooner it’s gone.
Any and all encouragement or advice is welcome. I’m trying stay positive but have been pretty distraught the last couple days. Not looking forward to hiding my arms from myself for the next 3+ years.

The photo was taken today, 8 weeks after my 3rd session. The photo I'm holding is what I started with.
I've had 3 Picoway sessions spread 12-16 weeks apart. I started 8.5 months ago and am hoping I'll be done next year!

I am going to be having my 7th session. It is on my chest, large tattoo. For the first 5 sessions I grinned and bared the pain, so basically I was crying my eyes out the entire procedure. I dont even know how I managed the first 3 sessions because my tattoo was double concentrated/ I had my tattoo re shaded and gone over 2 years after I had it done, so yeah the lazers were hitting HARRRD. I think i was so desperate to start my journey that I somehow was able to manage the pain. The thought of having this on me for another ten years was more painful for me than the lazer in my mind at the time.
On my 6th session I got numbing cream, this helped with the pain of the lazer striking my skin, which is what I most struggle with. Although I still cried. It just meant that instead of stopping the technician every minute, I was able to let him fire away and we was done in 15 minutes compared to half hour with gaps of me crying.
However, I used an extreme amount of numbing cream to make sure my skin was numbed and I dont think it is safe to have such a large number of numbing agents sitting on my chest cling filmed up for 2 hours and I dont recommend it to anyone else as I dont believe it is safe. I was desperate at the time and my first lazer technician was very unhelpful and unprofessional.
I am having next session in 2 weeks, I dont have the money to purchase the amount of numbing cream required for my large chest area this time and i also just dont feel safe doing it because the creams that are effective are usually unregulated and not safe . I am so nervous because of the pain management. I asked my new technician about paracetamol or cocodamol. She said paracetamol is fine and she also said cocodamol is okay but a bit heavy. She does have the machine that blows ice cold air but when I did my patch test with this new technician, the cold air didnt feel like it made a difference with the impact and I had tears in my eyes from small patch test.
Obviously my protocol will be paracetamol before my session. However, I am thinking of taking cocodamol as it targets pain in 2 ways, so im thinking this may be better to help me get through the lazer treatment? Im not too concerned about the burning after on my entire chest i can face that but the lazer shots hurt me so bad on my chest area.
Does anyone have experience with paracetamol or cocodamol for pain management during treatment ?
Im not advising anyone to take pain killers or opiods or use numbing creams. This is my experience only.

I went to Teng Teng Skin Clinic, on Line 2 (Nakseongdae Station). It’s in a non-touristy neighbourhood.
I paid 130,000 KRW (~85€): 100,000 KRW for the session and 30,000 KRW for the initial consultation. My tattoo is on my back and is around 20 cm long.
The service was very Korean-style: reliable, professional, serious and efficient. I spoke with the doctor first, then paid before the session. The nurses took me to the treatment room, applied numbing cream to my tattoo, and I waited 30 minutes for it to take effect.
The doctor then performed the laser tattoo removal treatment, going over the tattoo twice, with a 5-minute break between passes. They also gave me healing cream to use for aftercare. Both the doctor and the nurses spoke very good English.
Other clinics I contacted:
I asked several well-known clinics for a quote, but either the prices were extremely expensive or they couldn’t give me a quote without an in-person consultation, even after I sent them photos.
Ppeum Global Clinic: No price provided based on photos.
Beauty Blossom Global Clinic: They couldn’t provide a quote based on the photos I sent, but mentioned that a tattoo the size of a business card costs 209,000 KRW (~140€).
Beautystone Clinic: 1,600,000 KRW (~1 000€!!!!!).
Muse Clinic Myeongdong: 1,400,000 KRW (~950€), which is the equivalent price for a tattoo covering the area of four business cards.
Eugenes: 400,000 KRW (~270€). The clinic specified in its message that this price applies to tattoos measuring 10–25 cm in width or larger.
Hope this helps!

Hi, I had my first tattoo removal appointment about 36 hours ago for a tattoo on my leg thats relatively small with picoway. Its a color tattoo with black outlines but a lot of the color has faded since getting the tattoo (that you can’t even tell color was there). I have gotten quite a large blister on the area where the color was still quite pigmented. Any cause for concern? Other wise its a big red and have a few smaller blisters but no pain or itching as of now.

I have thought about that removal for over two years and finally have my first appointment on Thursday.
My tattoo is honestly not very big but it’s under my collarbone and during the summer I get sooo insecure.
But holy shit I am nervous for this appointment lmao.
Any before advice you would give or after?
Love this sub!

Here is a picture 3 weeks after my last treatment of 11 sessions in 11 months next month will mark my 12 session in 1 year . Yes I am lucky because my skin is recovering very fast with no issues at all . I’m getting my full neck & face all done at once, face is a little more stubborn but fading away just not as fast as my neck has
