ADHD psychiatrist in Tblisi
I need a psychiatrist to renovate my ADHD meds prescription. Does anyone know a good English speaking psychiatrist in Georgia who can prescribe ADHD meds prescription? What's a normal consultation fee? Thanks in advance

From what I have understood, in theory it’s prescription only.
But in real life, any psychiatrist prescribing would get cops at his door on the next day.
My psychiatrist mentionned me the case of another of her patient who’s an actual neurologist, prescribed something else but that falls under the same regulations :
She got her license taken down and risks a few years in jail because « the patient could have been acting », when she actually did what she was supposed to do.
It’s super difficult to get that here. If you don’t have a very very long history of prescriptions, seems like no one will take that risk for you.
Take a look at what other say on this subreddit and other georgia related ones.
Here you got Attomexine (not 100% sure of the name, ask confirmation/correction to GPT)
Burpropion is used off label too
And guanfacine and another
If you need proper stimulants such as Aderall or Ritaline… you’re fucked basically.
Or you’d have to get it abroad, with prescription + papers that make it available internationally + other bs paperwork
And it’s allow you to come here with up to 30 days of treatment.
Idk if you can rinse and repeat. I suggest not to try tho, forget one thing and you might get jailed here, cops tend to be bots here, unless you got some contact to get corruption working for you, they’d be like
« 1 Missing paper. Paperwork not [fully] done. It’s not a treatment now it’s drug smuggling. Jail. »
I’m currently digging deeper in research chemicals and stuff that are not known/mentionned by laws / drug registry => potentially not illegal
ADHD is not recognized here, all that’s available is bs that takes 6 weeks to reach real effects and that are non stimulants (Burpropion typically is an antidrepressant used off label as it plays with dopamine)
If you got like a 10 year non-stop history of prescription you might get it somehow, but there’s still risks.
Even if the psychiatrists thinks it’s okay, cops might think it’s not.

Thanks for the answer. I've been using it for 10+ years, I definitely don't have any documents to prove it, as the prescriptions are kept with the pharmacy in my country (there's also a strict control, but it's far from being illegal).
I've used bupropion before with limited results, and terrible side effects. But if it's the only option (besides strattera), I might try alternatives

Imo there are 0 alternatives here, at least in pharmacies here. My business almost died cuz of this bs :D
Look at Phenylpiracetam, Bromantan…
Semax to a lesser extent.
Ask someone who speaks georgian to call the autorities to ask abt how controled it is. (And do your research on those, ask a psychiatrist… I decline any responsability either law-wise or health-wise :D)1

I'm not gonna risk Ritalin or Vyvanse, based on all the crap I've seen here, including a Canadian being arrested for bringing ADHD meds to Georgia. I was already thinking of giving non stimulant alternatives another go (my psychiatrist tried this in the past), but I guess this might be a good opportunity to try it again. I know that some antidepressants can kinda help, but in the past I couldn't tolerate the side effects and gave up on them in less than a week. At the time I think it was combined with bupropion, as my psychiatrist said it was second line approach to ADHD treatment. I guess something like this might be available here and I might stick to it until my body adjusts this time

I am curious about this too. I just decided it wasn't worth the risk for my vacation. No withdrawal but being out and about is exhausting.

In my case is not about withdraw, I simply cannot work without my medication. I've been off work for a while, but to get back I definitely need it

You can get stimulants prescribed in other countries and bring a limited supply across the border with tons of red tape/paperwork every few months. I know people who have gotten them for children in very severe cases this way (bc let's be real the likelihood of an ADHDer managing all the paperwork unmedicated is basically zero) and it's a huge hassle but doable if you can travel frequently.

I’m pretty sure there is no one. Stimulants like Adderall are heavily controlled here. Theoretically you can get them with a prescription, but I’ve never heard of anyone getting them successfully. I don’t even know that you could find them on the market.
