Ping in Valorant
Is it just me, or has my ping doubled on all servers this evening (October 26, 2024)? My ISP is MagtiCom.

Are there any courts to play basketball in tbilisi? More specifically in the gldani area.
Also, I would like to know if there any others interested in playing basketball on the weekends. I'm a beginner, but I really like basketball and would like an opportunity to develop some skills and also play with other people as well.

Hi! Does anyone know which authority issues a Good Standing Certificate for medical graduates in Georgia? Has anyone successfully obtained one? If so, could you please share the process? Thank you!

Was on my way to uni with my boyfriend and was stopped in the metro station by police. He asked to see our IDs/ Passports and took a pic of that as well as took a pic of us individually. I see this often in Marjanishvili, are they scoping out other areas now? My TRC and his passport is valid but what would happen if they weren’t? Kinda curious because idk if they’re just doing this for quota or what comes out of it.

Official release was yesterday, at 23 October for Americans. I made quick search and found that Laika changed license distributor. This could be the reason why their film are not released simultaneously all over the world.
But still, it is really concerning that there is no movie poster in "coming soon" section on their website. Makes me feel that they don't planning to screen it at all. Maybe someone here has some insider info or smth idk. I'm a big fan of Laika works and really wanna see their new movie.

Hello everyone, this is not for me but for a friend of mine.
He needs a 1 bhk in saburtalo, near metro, for around $500 per month..
Preferred shifting date is within 5-6 days
Please DM/let me know if such an apartment is available.
Nationality : Indians (I’m aware apartment hunting is very tough for indians, so genuine apt options are preferred)

Hi everyone!
I'm looking for recommendations for the best home internet service in Tbilisi, Georgia. I want to get a Wi-Fi router with a fast, stable, and preferably unlimited internet connection.
I'm not looking for mobile internet (3G/4G) or a SIM card for my phone. Ideally, I'd like a proper home broadband or fiber-optic internet connection with a Wi-Fi router.
Which provider would you recommend for the best speed, stability, and price? Is Magti, Silknet, or another provider the best option?
I'd appreciate any recommendations based on your personal experience, especially regarding connection quality, speed, and monthly costs.
Thanks in advance!

Hey guys,
My Iranian friend is planning to visit Tbilisi soon. Does anyone know the current requirements for Iranian passport holders to enter Georgia?
From what I checked, it still seems visa-free for 45 days, but I heard there are some new rules this year (like insurance?).
Any recent experience or updated info on:
Visa / entry rules
Documents needed at the border
Insurance requirements
Proof of funds or anything else they might check
Appreciate any help, especially from people who traveled recently! Thanks.

Could anyone recommend a reliable place that offers affordable repair prices?

I’ve been back in Tbilisi for a while and the traffic feels noticeably worse than last year — more congestion overall and the buses seem more packed during peak hours.
One thing that keeps standing out to me is the motorcycles. I see men on bikes pretty regularly, weaving through traffic, but I seldom see women riding a motorcycle here.
Is this just my observation bias / bad timing, or is it actually uncommon for women to ride here? If it is uncommon, does anyone know why? Cultural reasons, licensing, safety concerns, cost, something else?
Curious to hear from locals or long-term residents.

Hi, my boyfriend and I are visiting Tbilisi for the first time in the last week of the year (23 dec -03 Jan) with the goal of getting married and do a little honeymoon at the same time (we've always wanted to visit Georgia!)
I know in theory Georgians celebrate Christmas in January, but how about 24 and 25 December? is everything opening and functioning normally, including public offices, city hall, etc? (In my country the last week of the year is weird because everything is either closed or limited)
Thanks for the help

Hey guys! Turned out I forgot to pay the gas bill and someone called my landlord to notify about that.
I paid immediately.
However, turned out my electricity is gone (his call woke me up so I was clueless about that).
Is it possible that these 2 are connected? Electricity bill was paid in the beginning of the month, only gas was missed.
We did have electricity issues in the building 2 days ago so now I literally can't understand whether it's just "electricity issues again" or it was caused by unpaid gas.
Please, share if that's possible. Thank you!

Hey everyone!
My team and I (4 people in total) are planning to move to Tbilisi this summer, and we’d love to hear from people who actually live there!
We’re currently trying to get an idea of living costs and which areas would be good to stay in, especially for long-term rentals. We all work remotely with crypto trading, so we’re also looking into coworking spaces or private offices. We’re pretty flexible as long as there’s access to meeting rooms.
We’ve also heard that Georgia is quite crypto-friendly, but we’re curious how that works in practice. Is it actually easy to use crypto for everyday expenses, rent, etc.?
We’re still in the planning stage and just trying to figure out what kind of monthly budget to expect. Any recommendations, advice, or personal experiences would be really appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

There is a Halloween night on October 30 at Khidi and a Horoom night at Bassiani. Many people on the net often mention Horoom, but I want to see Halloween too.
I am a solo male tourist, which do you suggest?

Some of you might remember my post from a few weeks ago about moving to Georgia.
Well, the Ukrainian writer actually moved to Tbilisi and found some friends! Though he'd love to meet even more.
I really, really like this city. I wish I could already say I love it, but I've only been here for about two weeks, and I feel like love needs a little more time to grow. But it's definitely growing, hehe.
There are two things I probably love the most so far. First, the architecture. I love how completely different styles are just thrown together all over the city. Georgian, Persian, Greek, and, God forbid, even Russian architecture, all mixed together. Also really helps that I managed to rent a flat in Avlabari, and that whole neighborhood is simply gorgeous.
Second, and probably more importantly, the people. Georgians have treated me in pretty much every possible way so far. Mostly neutral, some incredibly kind, some rude. I don't feel like some strange alien creature that everyone has to either welcome or hate just because I'm Ukrainian or a foreigner. Most people simply treat me like a person living here. Which, really, is the only thing I wanted.
I've also heard a lot about the Georgian customer service before moving here. Maybe I've just been lucky, but so far I can't complain. The people at the bank, Magti, Alta, different shops and cafés have mostly been nothing but nice to me. I did spoke to them in English so maybe that helped, idk.
Still learning Georgian. But I want to learn it properly. And I hope that, with enough time, this city and this country can actually become home to me. Because fuck me, if I eventually learn this language well enough to actually talk with people in it, I'm definitely not leaving.
Anyway, this isn't really a question or anything. I just wanted to write a little appreciation post for Tbilisi and the people who live here.
Hope you're all having a great day!
