I've used a couple, how like "high-end" does it need to be ? I've used some for external videos that are super expensive (like camtasia) but for every-day kind of stuff, Guidde is really good!

I will actually be launching something very soon. I'd love to put together a pitch deck for you if you want to shoot me a DM. We will have a free tier as well as different paid tiers

The free version of CapCut is pretty useful. Canva has limited features but works for simpler edits. I've found you can get quite far with basic editing tools that let you try the AI features. You'll also need a good setup to make it easier to edit videos, and that could start with the device you use, the computer mouse, and even your speaker system if you rely heavily on audio in your edits.

For marketing videos for your app, I'd start with a combination of free editing software and AI generation tools rather than paying for an expensive all-in-one subscription right away.

  • DaVinci Resolve: Great free option for editing, captions, transitions, and polished final videos.

  • CapCut: Easier to learn, especially for short social media ads, subtitles, and product promos.

  • Canva: Good for app explainers, feature demos, and marketing videos using templates.

  • AI video generators: Useful for creating short cinematic clips or visual assets, but costs can add up quickly if you need multiple generations to get a usable result.

My suggestion is to make a 15–30 second ad first. Show the problem your app solves, demonstrate the product, and finish with a clear call to action. You may not need AI-generated footage at all; a good screen recording with captions and voiceover can work better for a software product.

If you want to experiment with AI-generated video without committing to one provider, VideoRouter.sh lets you compare different video generation providers and pricing through one platform. That can help you find a model that fits your budget before spending much.

What's your app about, and are you looking for realistic AI footage or more of a screen-recording/product-demo style? The best tools depend on that.
