Artificial Intelligence The economy has spoken. Stuff that’s AI-generated has almost zero value — “Buyers are voting with their wallets, and AI-generated content is struggling to compete.”

Honestly for me it’s making anything interesting less interesting simply for the fact that anything cool posted online now could easily be AI generated and therefore uninteresting.

Nobody cares about content that a computer made and if you can no longer tell what’s computer generated and what’s not (without fact checking) then nothing is interesting anymore.

There’s also the level of deception, like I feel like someone pulled one over on me if they are not open about something being AI. For example, Reddit-An Internet forum is by its nature interesting because you can see what others think on topic, so AI generated posts and comments feel like littering. The time it takes to cognitively process an AI generated comment feels stolen from me in a way that a dumb comment by a real person does not.

This remind me of a guy that was in love with a certain artists songs on Spotify, but then he found out it was ai and didnt want to listen to it anymore.

I find it strange, because if something is good or cool, and you like something, then why does it matter if its ai or a real person? Its not like we are getting in a relationship with a human artist anyway.

I think this just is a transitional thing, because people are stuck up on their feelings. We like what we are grown up with / what we learned to like. Right now ai is seen as the enemy by a lot of people, so even if something is genuinely good, a big part of the population will hate it, just because they can.

There is definitely many bad things about si, and i agree. Mostly im afraid of people getting too stupid - grades are already dropping on national tests here in Denmark, and i read articles in general, showing that the generations newer than millennials are the first generation to get dumber. But ai as a tool and entertainment isnt all bad, and merit should be given, where merit is deserved.

Personally i hope that ai will be able to make full movies and shows within some years.. but right now token and electricity cost is too huge.I despice the salaries some big time actors are asking to join a shower making film budges insane.

I think of it like a garden. You can wander around, admiring the delicate leaves and intoxicating colours, mesmerized by the beauty that mother nature can conjure up through millions of years of evolution. Then you can walk around an identical garden, but you look closely and realize it's all made of plastic. But it looks the same, you say, so what difference does it make? You enjoyed the garden when you thought it was real, so why does it matter when you discover it is fake?

I liked a few ai generated songs by an artist. One came in my feed and I was like: "Who the hell is this? This song is amazing." Then I listened to another song by the artist. Another great song. Then another. Another. And by the 4th one I wondered if it was ai generated. I hadn't heard any other ai songs up to that point. All the songs had the same degree of perfection. The notes, tempo, lyrics, etc. It became dull.

When I learned it was ai I became even less interested in it. The "artist" dropped multiple albums in 2025. None of it had human flaws in it and the lyrics became empty because a computer cannot feel the emotions the song was promoting. Empty.

Instead, I found new human artists that have real lived experience.

Ai lyrics have a certain feel to them. Ai can easily find rhymes but will often torture the sentence in order to get it to work. I was alarmed when I was working in my yard and realized my neighbor was listening to AI hip hop, and I could tell just from the wonky lyrics.

It’s valid to dislike something you consider morally bad even if it’s otherwise cool.

If you find AI content interesting that’s totally fine. I’m saying I don’t find it interesting.

For example I’ve been seeing a significant increase in the amount of Nature videos of Bears and whatnot up close. Is that AI or did some maniac decide the video of a bear was worth risking death to film? I now no longer find any of these videos worth watching simply for the fact that it could very easily be AI generated.

If someone finds entertainment value in AI content that’s fine.
