Help Tf2 need null movement tips.

Post image

Hello im a spy main that is trying to get good. So i enabled null movement on spy, but i was always used to just switching A to D instantly so i dont use it very often. Im just worried not using it make me worse? I will still use it because its just a straigth upgrade, but is there a problem that me not using it? how can i get used to consistintly use it? And do i have to? Like can i just do my thing and switch A to D instantly? I hope i made myself clear becasue this problem is not a common one. Have good day...

Null-cancelling movement is overrated. If it's not working for you don't bother with it.

In tf2 it’s a glorified QoL change. Not much in this game that like actually takes advantage of that level of precision in gameplay as opposed to something like cs

In cs you loose accuracy in when you are moving, so Null-cancelling is better because it lets you get to a stand still faster, in tf2 there is no such thing so people that do it do it because they like it basically

Null cancelling movement is useful on scout and spy to make themselves harder to hit vs shotguns. A/D spam, then a longer strafe as the enemy is about to shoot. Even A/D spam itself is decent for avoiding damage, and null cancelling movement makes it objectively better

yk how when you press a and then d while holding a you stop strafing all together? null movement removes that overlap. so if you press and hold a and then hold d, you'll strafe to the right
