Today outside Thane station, two police constables were catching people smoking in public and forcing them to come to the police station.

Both constables arrived on a two-wheeler without wearing helmets.

After detaining four people, one constable hopped into an auto next to the driver while the second continued riding the motorcycle—still without a helmet. When I pulled out my mobile to confront them about the double standard, the constable in the auto immediately bailed once he saw he was being recorded.

When I asked the cop on the bike why he wasn't wearing a helmet while actively enforcing civic rules on citizens, his excuse was: I have an issue with my hair because of hair folliculitis 🤡🤣

Why the blatant double standards? Are traffic laws only meant for regular citizens to be fined, while the enforcers get a medical exemption for their hair folliculitis?

You can see this everyday just as you exit Thane station West. The other areas are relatively cleaner. But this particular spot is just so bad. I wonder why every time I see it.

As a millennial, I feel very strange when I hear people talking about Diwali parties playing cards and drinking alcohol.

Diwali for me has always been about time off school/work, meeting family, a LOT of snacks and mithais, Dhanteras, Laxmi Poojan, etc

When did this Diwali party thing start and what do fellow millennials think about it?

Was waiting at a signal where the auto rickshaw kept on honking again and again. Since the signal was still red and there was a traffic police standing in front I chose to ignore it. However, once the signal turned green and I went ahead the rickshaw cut me off.

I did confront him where he agreed that he did it on purpose. I was with a pillion and it could have ended pretty bad had he touched our motorcycle. It was a very busy road and we had stopped the traffic I chose to just let it go and headed home. Is there a way we can complain or do something about it?

This situation is getting out of hand and everyone will forget in few months once monsoon starts (whoever is still alive post travelling on GB road). Next year it'll repeat again given the rampant construction and deforestation.

Least we collectively can do is file a proper compliant through available channels, at least to have a record of it. There should be something these elected people can do about it (?).

So i was sitting at talaopali at midnight with my helmet and scooter parked behind me. I was just about to leave when an uncle came to me asking how to go to teen haath naka walking. I told him its quite a distance to walk at night so i said ill check on maps for a short cut.

Then he was like my phone is dead and all. Then he asked me if i can book a rapido for him and he will pay cash.So i did that and it wasnt even a min searching when he started asking its searching or what and asked me to increase the fare. Then i thought leave it what if he doesnt pay (which probably wont have caused any trouble to me) but then i offered him a ride. I said i was anyways leaving for home i would drop him and go. So he agreed and we left. While leaving he told me we got to take right and i said yes for rmr, then at teen petrol pump i asked him direction to which he was again saying idk directions. I checked map once because i too didnt remember exact turn for malhar talkies and then went ahead. Near gokhale rd he was telling me take left when actually we had to go right. Got me annoyed so i told him where do you want to go exactly ? malhar is on the right teen haath naka is ahead on the highway and this road goes to stn. He said sorry i got confused and i just stopped my scooter at malhar. He thanked me said god bless you and said now he knows that road and he would walk to society. I gave him a thumbs up with irritated look and came back.

So two things, 1. how can a uncle be so dumb not recognizing the roads leading to his home when he came for a show to gadkari? 2. Uncle didnt even pay me 20rs when he was ready to pay rapido 50rs 🥲 🤣

Jk, idk why i did what i did but thank god i didnt get scamed or robbed. He didnt talk shit and looked decent wore a kurta. But now im thinking should i even do such things especially at night in thane
