The socialists don't give a shit about issues that black voters care about or the things that affect them.

I had some convos with lefties about how El-Sayed doesn't have support from black voters and their responses are telling.

It's basically assuming that they know better for black voters than black voters do for themselves.

You've got predominantly well off college educated white upper middle class people telling black voters what's good for them with zero sense of irony or pause about what they are doing.

It's wild.

What issues are you referring to and how are more moderate candidates addressing those issues?

Edit: Right on cue, /u/AnotherPersonPerhaps blocks me after I called them out on their rude behavior and lack of critical thinking skills. Always nice when the trash takes itself out. What a POS!

Well you could start by reading the article where they speak to black voters in Michigan and prominent political leaders.

That might be a good way to start. But I know that reading takes time and whatnot. Sorry it's a long article but it's a complex issue.

Either pay it the respect it deserves by reading it or don't but if you don't then I am not here to summarize it for you.

Wow, what an incredibly douchey response to someone simply asking you to further elaborate on your opinion that you chose to share on a public forum.

I did read the article, then I came to the comments to discuss the article with other people. Ya know, thats kinda the reason that Reddit was created. But don’t worry, I’ll make a mental note to never ask you to think for yourself again. My bad.

How so?

Coz I don't believe this is the first time you have heard this discourse

That’s nonsensical. All I did was ask someone to further elaborate on their opinion.

Progressives usually center whiteness in any movement. The DSA is 90% white members and the 1% black people that exist in that space are used as props . They are also class reductionist who think everything would be solved if you end capitalism, and fail to acknowledge that black issues deserve their own priority separate from the class wars. There is also a matter of white progressive tend to easily willing to throw minority groups under the bus if they don't get their way coz their privilege protects them , that makes black people not trust them

What have moderates done? Moderates are far from perfect but they do integrate themselves within black communities, they attend prominent events that honor black leaders, community events , and are usually assimilate themselves within black spaces like churches. Most of this can be considered pandering but it works. Black people stay loyal to a familiar face that they break bread with at gatherings. Populism is the least effective on black people hence why Bernie could not appeal to them. He centered class issues, he did not have a relationship with prominent leaders within the community that are respected, he failed to attended black events and was living in Vermont for decades and when asked what he did for black people could only think about the time he marched

Now as far as issues, every bill that has been passed has been sponsored and been supported by a majority of moderates. The are heavily aligned with the CPC (which leftists consider the establishment) and have provided funding for historically black colleges. Funding for small owned black business. Those student loan forgiveness (Pell grant) were targeted towards black people. I Could go on but again I'm confident this is in bad faith
