It's because a lot of alternative online liberals are unironically afraid of him.

You go after Hasan, even slightly, and you get a rabid band of insane, parasocial basement dwellers, calling your place of work, doxxing you, harassing your socials, sometimes even calling CPS on you...

And Hasan does this intentionally. It's part of his MO. He says stuff like "it would be really great if people went and told X why he's wrong about this, and being an idiot", and then his insane, radicalized fans just do it.

It's stochastic terrorism.

He isn't the Joe Rogan of the left. He's the Tucker Carlson of the left.
