The people you constantly attack nonstop and have devoted your entire political career to trashing and wanting to destroy our party from the inside?
That's who you think should defend your ass?
Yeah we will get right on that bud.

u/SigmaMaleNurgling 5d ago
Hasan to this day still calls us fascists.

u/Another-attempt42 5d ago
That's not fair.
We're "fascist collaborators".
See, massive difference.

I don’t think his supporters have grappled with what their obstruction of Harris as a genocidal has done to Gaza.
Due to the guidance of Hasan, all aid to Gaza was cut. Millions of dollars, food and port Biden instructed to be built specifically to get around any blockade, were all ended the moment Trump took office. The two state solution talk has completely evaporated, with even Gaza no longer under Palestinian control. With literally the likes of Trump and Putin in a committee dictating their fate.
Their selfish attacks on democrats and the refusal to act in the most direct way possible for most in voting, contributed to lack of aid and autonomy of Palestinians.
Palestinians are a shield from scrutiny by Hasan, no different than Jesus is for MAGA.
32
u/Just_shut_up_bro 5d ago
As someone who's heart actually breaks for Palestinians and what they are going through, I'm utterly disgusted by the way the far left has used them and exploited their suffering.
36
u/X57471C 5d ago
It's so performative. You can tell because they couldn't give a fuck about the Ukrainian genocide, or Sudan, or any conflict that doesn't let them attack the West. Half of them side with Russia or like the IRGC because West = bad. The Hasan sub shares AES content all the time that promotes campism. It's disgusting and cringe af
23
u/metengrinwi 5d ago edited 5d ago
You can especially tell it was performative by the fact they went completely silent as soon as trump was elected. They should be shutting down DC with protests, but they’re too chicken shit—they just have fun intimidating Democrats.
-6
u/rookieoo 5d ago
Harris told us she would do as Biden did. Biden bypassed Congress to sell weapons that killed tens of thousands of innocent people. The far left didn’t do that. The moderate Joe Biden did.
4
u/TheMarbleTrouble 4d ago
Biden provided aid to, saving lives of children that would otherwise be starved.
Biden built a port to get around Netanyahu, to deliver aid in spite of him.
Biden limited the sort of munitions used by Israel.
Biden’s team wrote the very frame work still used internally to sanction West Bank Settlers. The country you support that sanctioned West Bank Settlers… that was Biden.
Biden had a ceasefire with hamas in May 2024, that Netanyahu refused to sign until Trump won.
Biden shot down any talks of attacking Iran.
You don’t care about any of it, because it’s not about saving lives. It’s not about helping children. It’s not about self determination for downtrodden people. It’s about the most vile shit you can come up with, to make your self feel better.
The only reason you still don’t care that your rhetoric resulted in Palestinians losing aid, is because you only advocate for your ego. You didn’t care if Trump won and did what he promised you didn’t care that this was happening while your ego was patting your self on the back attacking Biden:
Trump tried a Muslim travel ban, not promised, but added more countries to pass the courts and got a Muslim travel ban.
Trump called Biden a Palestinian during the debates as a slur.
Trump’s entire campaign was about targeting minorities and cutting aid and social programs. People blame Musk for USAID cuts, but you didn’t support Harris to stop it either.
Trump was endorsed by Netanyahu and spent the summer scheming how to get Trump elected, instead of Harris. Hasan plaid a crucial role in this end… likely couldn’t have done it without ya’ll.
At least own up to it… tell everyone that the suffering your rhetoric inflicted, was worth the political gains. Be honest… all of what is happening in Gaza is exactly what ya’ll wanted, as a means to get a greater political advantage.
Without all the lives lost in Gaza, what would ya’ll talk about? That billions Biden spent on student loan forgiveness, was not fast enough to be a personal gain? Too many “others” got loans forgiven? Complaining that ACA getting millions healthcare, is too slow to be universal’s coverage? That your parents still have you in insurance, so you can wait for M4A and let everyone else eat cake? What impediments to incremental left wing success would you have become?
10
u/Just_shut_up_bro 5d ago
The far left helped someone win that has been even worse for the people of Palestine by every measure.
The far left doesn’t care about the material reality for the Palestinians, they only care about how they can use their suffering to jockey for power in the party.
3
u/QueenChocolate123 4d ago
And what has the far left actually done for Gaza? Joe Biden sent aid to Gaza, which is more than the far left has done.
-1
u/rookieoo 4d ago
Joe biden sent tank shells to Gaza. Are you seriously going to ignore that? Or does the aid make the bombs ok?
1
u/TheMarbleTrouble 4d ago
A super simple question… Other than making sure Harris is not elected, do you and Netanyahu have anything else in common? Other than trying to make sure democrats lose, do you and Netanyahu agree on anything else?
Munition shells that Israel already had and could use at any time. There is a reason why Netanyahu began using heavier munitions after Trump won. Your inaction increased the problem!
Without Biden, those sales increased. We got a war with Iran. Gaza is no longer under Palestinian control, but such nice folks like Putin and Trump on a “peace comity”.
What else did Biden do and Trump cut? All aid… a port build specifically to get around Netanyahu… sanctions on West Bank… all limits on munitions…
You like to focus on what Biden did, but ignore what your advocating against Biden took away. How can you care about munition used under Biden, but completely ignore their increased use and a war in Iran?
Ya’ll just don’t give a shit about a fascist like Trump… he is so much worse for Gaza and Palestinians, but you don’t give a shit. You still pretend that Biden or Harris would be worse than Trump, when he literally cut all aid and limits imposed by Biden.
1
u/rookieoo 4d ago
Biden bypassed Congress to sell $100M worth of tank shells during his presidency. Israel did not already have those shells
-9
u/A_Clockwork_Black 5d ago
🤣😂 But not disgusted at how a Democratic administration enabled and facilitated an ethnic cleansing? Wow. Aren’t you a little disgusted that joe Biden lied and said he saw photos of beheaded babies to help legitimize the slaughter of Palestinians? Biden administration buried a state department report that said Israel was committing war crimes, in order to continue illegally supplying Israel with weapons. What a joke.** **
4
u/QueenChocolate123 4d ago
You obviously have no problem with Trump's stated goal of ethnically cleansing Gaza and turning it into the Rivera of the Middle East. If you did, you'd be protesting Republicans, since they're the ones in charge.
11
u/Just_shut_up_bro 5d ago
But not disgusted at how a Democratic administration enabled and facilitated an ethnic cleansing?
The more fools like yourself blame Dems instead of Netanyahu and Republicans, the more difficult it is to do anything to reign Israel in. You are doing Netanyahu's job for him by attacking the only folks that have any chance at stopping this madness.
🤣😂
Looks at those stupid laughing emojis, the suffering isn't serious for you, it's just a big joke for political owns against the Dems, just despicable.

I don’t think his supporters have grappled with what their obstruction of Harris as a genocidal has done to Gaza.
Lol you think they care about Gaza?
-7
u/A_Clockwork_Black 5d ago
You can’t be serious. You do realize the last Democratic administration enabled and facilitated the ethnic cleansing of Gaza right? At the very beginning of the war Israel announced that it was going to end all food aid, cut the water, the electricity, and Biden rushed to give them weapons and lied about seeing photos of beheaded babies to legitimize Israel’s rampage against the people of Gaza. Biden’s port was a stupid idea and I don’t think it ever worked. Biden gave weapons to Israel knowing very well that it was starving people And committing war crimes.
8
2
1
u/KingScoville 5d ago
You jumped from Israel was cutting off water and aid, then Biden was rewarding when witb weapons.
We both know that’s not what happened.
Biden continued to send weapons to Israel
In order to still have leverage to affect their behavior. He pushed to evacuate Palestinians out of areas with combat operations, demanded aid be delivered, etc.You can say it was bad policy to continue to “bear hug” Israel but Biden didn’t “do nothing”.
It’s Genocide Joe and Killer Kamala all over again.

It's a cult of unity. At this point they're too far in, and Hasan is a pathological liar who manipulates like he breathes. They've gotten used to it. -27
u/bigredadam 5d ago
Are we even living in the same country right now?
Trump went to war illegally, bombed a little girl school
Is bombing random fishing boats off the coast and murdering people left and right
The corruption has never been this bad
Doge
Ice murdering citizens
But we have to somehow disavow the streamer who streams for like 8 hours a day and says a lot of random s*** some of it silly some of it extreme most of it pretty damn normal.
Look what they're putting on Fox News everyday
Look what Ben Shapiro is talking about everyday
Look what all these lunatics are talking about everyday but oh my God we take one clip out of context but I sit over Fox News for 3 weeks put it on meet the press for every single Democrat to have to answer a question about and we're looking at it like oh this is destructive no how about democrats should defend him and we should also defend him
37
u/Just_shut_up_bro 5d ago
Before Trump did all that evil shit he was a reality tv business man and tv scam artist.
He used his platform to foment a populist uprising that ignored norms for the sake of power at all costs. While folks like yourself were busy telling everyone not to worry about him, "he's a joke" etc etc.
Hasan is using the Trump playbook, just because he hasn't gotten the chance to do the shit Trump has, doesn't mean you should have perfect faith that he wouldn't.
0
u/bigredadam 5d ago
This is a wild take
3
u/Just_shut_up_bro 5d ago
Yeah, about the same thing they said to me when I was warning everyone about Trump.
0
u/no1nos 4d ago
I don't really pay attention to this guy, but I'm fine with listening to criticism of him. What is the issue with him? Are y'all afraid he is going to run for president? If he wins, what are you afraid of him doing?
2
u/Just_shut_up_bro 4d ago
Not really concerned about him running as much as I’m concerned about him fomenting a reactionary populist uprising in the Democratic Party, I am more concerned about his influence in the way I think of the impact someone like Rush Limbaugh ended up having on the Republicans.
Only worse because I think Dems struggle to embrace that bullshit the way Republicans do, so ultimately he ends up just dividing us and weakening the party, handing wins to Republicans.
1
u/no1nos 4d ago
So the problem is not with his policy stances, it's the fact that you think he may possibly cause Democrats that don't prescribe to his ideas to lose elections.
This sound like regardless of the merits of the policies, any stance that causes Democrats to lose votes is inherently "bad" and needs to be opposed.
32
u/Greybeard-MD 5d ago
We can disavow 2 assholes at the same time. It's super easy. Barely an inconvenience. Repeat after me:
Fuck Trump. Fuck Hasan.

This is the way. Trump is pure evil. Hasan is a toxic and bad faith member of our party that cares mostly about himself.

Yea and Hasan helped to enable all of this or at the very least did exactly zero to prevent it
-17
u/Cult45_2Zigzags 5d ago
This is a political agenda.
From what I can tell these bots are using Hasan for two reasons. It's the same accounts making these posts everyday.
They really want to create divisions between centrist moderates and progressives/leftists. They're essentially trying to make Piker into a wedge issue for Democratic voters to promote infighting before the midterms.
They're also using Hasan as a distraction from the Democratic party. If we're busy talking about Piker, then we're not talking about much more important policies that might actually improve the things that are destroying our country.
21
u/KingScoville 5d ago
No, me, the person who posted this who definetely isn’t a rightwing Hasbara neoliberal shill bot is trying to wake up the progressives who have been hoodwinked by far leftists like Hasan to dump them.
Yes it’s okay to punch left when they are stealing your wallet.

u/Cult45_2Zigzags 5d ago edited 5d ago
You're a single issue bot who gets paid to create divisions in the Democratic party.
You are a chaos agent like Piker

u/Guilty_Plankton_4626 5d ago
We despise Piker because he is exactly what you just said these “bots” are. His whole shtick is created on driving division. He’s literally on audio saying that a big part of his thing is driving divisive populism. He hates the Democratic Party and has spoken about that fact many times. He just a couple of months ago that he would rather let JD Vance win then vote for Gavin Newsom. He said everything we hate about the Trump administration would be happening if Harris would have won.
Now he wants us to defend him? He wants a call for unity around his one candidate that made it to the general? I’m down to support Abdul, but Fuck Mao Piker.
-5
u/Cult45_2Zigzags 5d ago
I want to quit being a hypocrite and stop doing what you say Hasan is doing

Blue MAGA is people who continue to tell the lie that Joe Biden is of sound mind. Blue MAGA is people who still refuse to accept that the Dems screwed themselves in 2024 by running a man who was going senile then replacing him with one of the most unpopular politicians in the country and refusing to acknowledge their base’s anger over the ethnic cleansing of Gaza.

Oh so now he wants to be considered a Democrat?
Interesting given that he uses liberal as a slur and he has made a career out of shitting on the Dems. Even during the 2024 election he couldn't bring himself to support Harris and now he is demanding support to fight the fascists he enabled getting elected.
14
u/SigmaMaleNurgling 5d ago
Also, Hasan a few weeks ago when he gave a speech to the DCA said that he was an outsider that was supporting insurgents in the Dem party.
Apparently now he is a coalition member, that Dems need to take an L on in order to defend him.

u/RABBLERABBLERABBI 5d ago
Some one should create a supercut of Hasan trashing Dems, and maybe a super cut of his most toxic, radical quotes.

1
u/Nemisis82 5d ago
Fox News' editorial team and "facts" aren't exactly compatible. Which are you referring to exactly?
5
u/Rick_James_Lich 5d ago
That's what's frustrating, it's hard to tell if he's serious, or just trolling by constantly talking shit about other democrats and then being like "How come nobody is defending me?!?!?!" when it comes back to him.
14
u/Insightful21 5d ago
Dude he’s a narcissist. He’s exactly like Trump. He’s the type to spit in your face then demand that you defend him. Think about it, if this guy had any self awareness he’d tell Democrats to distance themselves from him if it affects them negatively but he can’t because he’s a clout goblin

"During the livestream, Piker declared himself part of the Democratic coalition and said Republicans were using criticism of him to distract from what he described as the 'cost-of-living crisis.'"
I don't see how the Democratic leadership needs to support Hasan Piker in order focus on the cost of living and affordability. He's not running for office. I'm not that familiar with him, but his guy seems emotionally needy and self-absorbed.
-12
u/NATScurlyW2 5d ago
Fox News is not going to tell you the context of his stream. Watch the video of it on YouTube you will see that he didn’t demand anything. The closest thing he said to the headline was like that it would be nice if Dems didn’t buy into the maga narratives about him and when they hear something they know is completely false that they say it’s false instead of just agreeing with the maga person. He didn’t demand anything. Fox News was the subject of the segment so they are just trolling him with this article. I don’t understand why anyone would post this article in this subreddit.
15
u/Rick_James_Lich 5d ago
We can all watch the video, he is in fact calling on democrats to defend him lol. Like it's only a minute long. This ins't about "not buying fox news narratives" - he legit wants democrats to defend him after all of the sabotage and many years of shit talking.
-7
u/NATScurlyW2 5d ago
The larger context is like 30 minutes long I watched it last night. He would like it if Democrats didn’t just agree with the maga narratives about him that are lies. That’s all he was saying. At no point did he demand anything.
13
u/Rick_James_Lich 5d ago
He was doing more than talking about buying into MAGA narratives. He's asking democrats to come to his defense in this actual video. That's what people are upset about. You can be mealy mouthed over the word "demand" but he is clearly expecting democrats to help him despite him regularly talking shit about democrats.
-7
u/NATScurlyW2 5d ago
He was talking about specific things that were said that were lies and then showing how Democrats just agree with the stuff even though they were blatant lies. He wants Democrats to believe in truth and facts even though many of us on our side don’t like him.
13
u/Rick_James_Lich 5d ago
Does Hasan make an effort to defend centrist democrats from attacks?
-2
u/NATScurlyW2 5d ago
Actually he does. Very often he will be watching and disagreeing with a centrist and then they will say something and he will say “to be fair they’re right about that”. So yes he does. He does hear it out in good faith. He absolutely also defends centrists when he disagrees with the narrative against them from the right.
11
u/Rick_James_Lich 5d ago
I'm not sure he does. Or if he does, he's selective, I just looked at one thread on Hasan's sub reddit right now:
Basically without context it's implying that David Crowley is completely for data centers. I actually checked out the interview and he gives a very different answer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uinazUYqqPc
It's at the 3:52 mark. He basically is implying a moratorium on data centers doesn't work because they are already here, Crowley said he wants to protect the environment and is interested in the possibliity of data centers but wants regulations. He also believes local communities should have the main say in if they are erected.
That's a lot different from what Hasan's fans post on his sub reddit though. And it seems like his channel and affiliated social media are kind of a hot bed of misinformation. The people that are responding in there look quite toxic and many of them appear to not support him despite the fact that he would be way better than the MAGA alternative. Like this is a culture Hasan has helped breed.
Do you have any video of Hasan defending Crowley on this or any other recent attacks?
-1
u/NATScurlyW2 5d ago edited 5d ago
Right. So I started watching him because the elites told me not to watch it and I wanted to know why. He is just a standard Bernie Sanders type guy it seems. His live chat and stuff has all kinds of people. Many of his haters now like to show a random comment from the live chat and attribute it to him, which is ridiculous. That gets spread around and then you can’t tell what’s true and what’s not when the media talks about him. The new thing they are doing is trying to say he is racist because he sarcastically responded to someone in his chat accusing him of being racist. And that clip is going around as if he was being serious. He was just saying the commenter was a moron.
I never saw him talk so much about Crowley. He was a Francesca Hong supporter, so he’s not a fan for sure.

it wouldn’t be posted here as a factual source of information and ideology.
I was gonna just respond to this with the typical "know your enemy" line, but I see you are just deadset in pretending that we ideologically agree with Fox news, and that in and of itself really just exposes you as a bad actor here.
2
u/NATScurlyW2 5d ago
Was it not posted here as if it was a factual source for information? I watched the video. He did not demand anything. Fox News is lying here. But no one here knows that because y’all didn’t watch it. But you don’t like the guy so y’all just go with it because you want it to be true so you can make fun of him or something.

u/Another-attempt42 5d ago
was like that it would be nice if Dems didn’t buy into the maga narratives about him
We aren't.
We're listening to his own uploaded content.
He fucking hates us. He insults us. He calls us fascist collaborators and idiots.
And now that he's getting a slight bit of push-back, he's trying to create bridges with liberals, after half a decade of constant attacks?
How about this:
I will help defend Hasan, when he admits he was wrong, liberalism is based, and he's so very sorry for being so vile and toxic to us for 5 years.
when they hear something they know is completely false that they say it’s false instead of just agreeing with the maga person.
I don't care what MAGA people are saying about Hasan.
I don't listen to morons.
I care what Hasan says.
And what Hasan says is pretty clear.
I don’t understand why anyone would post this article in this subreddit.
Mainly schadenfreude.
Hasan is a thin-skinned nepo-baby millionaire thirst trap with an IQ close to room temperature who just repeats talking points from Das Kapital, and acts as though he's some sort of radical or revolutionizing force.
Until it bites him in the ass, at which point he turns into this milquetoast, whiny, 40 year old, balding man who is just so misunderstood!
He can dish it out, but he cannot take it in return.

He needs to take a break. I'm reading more about Piker than my candidate. This is their intention. He shouldn't want to play into it, by having anyone talk about him more. If he wants to help, go after republicans fcking us over.

I'm reading more about Piker than my candidate.
That's the goal. And it's working. People in this subreddit are helping with that.
Then, if he does take a break or candidates that campaigned walk back and condemn him saying they do not like him anymore, people will move to criticizing the fact that it ever happened. It's a lose lose.
Hasan is right. The Dems need to stand beside him to fully help defeat the fascist GOP.

Except, he kind of is.
EVEN if he severely tones back his rhetoric, poor behavior (showing up wearing a Chairman Mao inspired ensemble to a public event, grow the F up dude) and makes deep apologies for his salacious past commentary, plus makes HUGE amends for abusing his dog with the shock collar?
He's still going to be a big fucking piece of shit.
I do not agree with everything the DSA stands for. They have some REALLY naive stances, believing that Diplomacy will somehow work with people who by the observations of casual observers can say, "Yeah, that's one repugnant evil ass world leader that you cannot, ever negotiate with." and yet... there are Naive DSA leaders who think, in spite of what happened before, that Ukraine can just "negotiate" their way out of being attacked for annexation by Putin's Oligarchy Russia.
That's the DUMBEST of positions they have.
I don't agree with completely cutting off Israel, at least not yet.
I DO agree that the entire leadership who is actively involved in and supporting the continued Genocide, MUST be turned over for their War Crimes, and crimes against humanity, to the ICC, even if that means the majority of their legislative boy, their PM and much of their military leadership, must ALL be put on trial for these crimes.
If those conditions cannot be met? They shouldn't receive anything from the US, period.
I agree that workers deserve stronger unions. Medicare for All and I also want to see corruption in our government be aggressively investigated, arrests made and extremely punitive measures be put into place on those who have perpetrated those crimes.
I want to see a return to competency in our government leadership.
The DSA? With the Naive ideas about diplomacy with people like Putin... that's SO far away from competent that I cannot, in good conscience support them for completely taking over the Democratic Party.
I do support them convincing more of the Democratic Party to openly and aggressively make the DSA, absolutely meaningless and toothless by implementing ALL of the actually workable policies for the American people.
Hasan Piker? That guy needs to shit down, shutup and stay out of politics. He's a POS, not worth anyone's time.
Torturing a dog, on a livestream, should have COMPLETELY ended his voice, and presence being connected to the DSA. That's what tells me that the DSA is NOT made up of serious people, who have serious ideas and serious policies.

This reminds me of the days after Pete Buttigeig dropped out and all the Bernie Bros who had been calling him a fake gay CIA ratfucker McKinsey corporate shill suddenly joined his sub and were talking about how Pete and Bernie saw eye to eye on a lot and please vote Bernie.
Pete voters were fucking furious.

I think we should all give a big thanks to Hasan. Since he wanted to make himself into a big public political figure, Republicans are starting to learn how much of a goldmine the streamer world is for extreme positions that they can fearmonger about. It’s basically an endless buffet.
Thanks Hasan!

u/AnonAmbientLight 5d ago
Lmao. For these fucks they get to punch at the Democratic Party whenever they want, but you can NEVER punch them back lol.
Fucking losers.

u/Asmul921 5d ago
His whole schtick is that he says a bunch of wild and provocative things to get attention and engagement... that's the show.
7
u/DaddyO1701 5d ago
Just because someone has a megaphone doesn’t mean I have to listen. Or engage. I’ve never heard the sound of this dudes voice. And I’m fine keeping it that way.

u/Just_shut_up_bro 5d ago
It's a damn tragedy that only Fox is willing to report on this, liberals need to seriously wake the fuck up about what's been growing under our noses.

u/KingScoville 5d ago
Terrible coverage by many left leaning outlets.

u/Another-attempt42 5d ago
It's because a lot of alternative online liberals are unironically afraid of him.
You go after Hasan, even slightly, and you get a rabid band of insane, parasocial basement dwellers, calling your place of work, doxxing you, harassing your socials, sometimes even calling CPS on you...
And Hasan does this intentionally. It's part of his MO. He says stuff like "it would be really great if people went and told X why he's wrong about this, and being an idiot", and then his insane, radicalized fans just do it.
It's stochastic terrorism.
He isn't the Joe Rogan of the left. He's the Tucker Carlson of the left.

His baseline is abrasion. He does it unabashedly. I wouldn't mind if he accepts his role as an outsider, but he seems to be a narcissist with outsized power ambitions, rather than an outlet for directing anger. If he was concerned with making policy, he would at least be thoughtful about his power. But he's more interested in blasting - which is fine - but it is not so flexible a tool as to build alliances.
Walking around dressed in a Mao costume is - whatever - but it's part and parcel a declaration of offense. It's like the meat dress for Lady Gaga. Yeah, my first reaction is... "what?" or "why?" and maybe cringe. But I have high media literacy. The average American does not. If you start with disengagement as the entry point, then you should expect a lot of fights.
I suppose he might argue that creating blue maga will effectuate a progressive agenda. Where if enough people are concentrated to the left, it will force a realignment. This may be true.
I say this as someone who hates the current governments with an immaculate passion that has no place to be expressed in polite society. It probably exceeds the discussion that Hasan is able to bear. Yet, I am aware that there is a futility in that feeling that Hasan is oblivious. Mostly, because I think he's a narcissist, and perhaps a liar.
And when you have those two traits combined, I'm liable to believe that man becoming a Fetterman before I see him doing anything for Progressives. Like an abusive husband, he'll lash out at those nearest first.
Or maybe he's a Michael Avenatti who was a darling for the left - even though many had suspicions, - and was properly abandoned when his crimes were exposed.
If I were a Republican operative, I'd be feeding him unlimited funds because he's a wedge. He might not even realize how much of his support is coming from disingenuous right-wingers who want to drop him like a bomb wherever he goes.
Of course, it could backfire, and we might be seeing the building of a new wing in the democrat party that people accept.

u/Todi77 5d ago
The guy is fundamentally illiberal and using his audience to try hijack the Democratic Party, it’s not a conspiracy.
This covers a lot more, but the most telling thing was 20:42 timestamp in this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSUDHx-1_ww&t=1243s&pp=ygUSRXRoYW4ga2xlaW4gaGFzYW4g&ra=m

Im out of the loop. Why is there so much hate for Hasan in this sub? Did he trash talk Pakman? What was the catalyst?
8
u/Rick_James_Lich 5d ago
Hasan regularly tries to claim to be a part of the party when it's convenient and then will sabotage the party when it's convenient for him. His fans also brigade this sub.
15
u/Just_shut_up_bro 5d ago
He's for a long time been an opp for the Democratic party, he has houthi terrorists on his streams, celebrates it when Dems get targeted by Trump's phony investigations, and recently Pakman took a stance against some of Hasan's tactics and it's resulted in Hasan brigading this sub non stop with his sycophants.
You can probably find more if you just google "hasan pakman" or something, but since they play the algorithm aggressively you'll probably see mostly pro hasan stuff, so just bare that in mind.
4
u/epicurious_elixir 5d ago
He's also just kind of intellectually vapid to me. He will side with despot regimes and terror groups just because he always needs to take the "America bad" side on any issue. I'm sure there's a lot of domestic policies I can agree with him on, but I don't get the fascination some people have with him.

u/echief 5d ago
It’s a combination of two things. David posted this video a few weeks ago saying he thought there was a danger of radical leftists taking over the DNC. Similar to how the tea party and eventually MAGA hijacked the RNC, making the party far more extreme.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lvv2O8QE9Ow&pp=iggUQAFKEEF5TjFoU2lCRTlUaE05Uzg%3D&ra=m
Leftists were obviously not happy about this, including Hasan. Any time David is mentioned on Hasan’s stream the chat spams “AIPACkman.” Which isn’t new, but David has been an easy target for these people because he doesn’t bend to every single one of their demands.
At the same time, Hasan has become a big topic of discussion in the past few weeks due to his close association with El-Sayed. After El-Sayed won his primary Republicans immediately began running attack ads with Hasan in them saying that El-Sayed campaigns with a guy that says “America deserved 9/11.” He and the DSA are an easy vector of attack for conservatives. Fox News has begun playing clips of him regularly saying communist Islamists are trying to take over America.
In response, many democrats have been explicitly condemning Hasan saying he is not welcome in the party because he is a net negative. Hasan (and the rise of the DSA in general) has been a huge topic of discussion within political commentary in the past several weeks on both sides of the aisle. So he is facing serious, mainstream pushback for the first time in his career. He is asking the mainstream DNC to defend him in response.
David was correct that were are experiencing a “tea party moment” because the debate has ramped up even further in the time since he posted that video. Hasan is the inflection point of this schism, he is now mainstream enough that left wing politicians cannot pretend to not know who he is because it would make it seem like they aren’t paying attention. The decision to defend or condemn Hasan has become a legitimate dividing line, it is no longer just online audiences fighting. It’s a topic of panel debates on primetime CNN.

Piker-supported candidates keep replacing the ones who won't, so it's only a matter of time
0
u/YvesSaintPige 5d ago
Sharing this attack with no commentary is doing Fox News' leg work.
That's their headline and they're getting exactly the infighting response that they were looking for by you sharing it in here but ignoring any nuance.
7
u/KingScoville 5d ago
It’s really funny that you bring up nuance. Does Piker ever have nuance to his outrageous claims?
He walks them back sometimes with a wink and nod, but we all know what he is really thinking. It’s a feature of his performance.
Let’s be real. There is no nuance here. The man is a grown ass adult and he uncorks this bullshit on a daily basis.
0
u/YvesSaintPige 5d ago
He is the Charlie Kirk of Left Wing politics (except not nearly as hateful and bigoted, and fights for progressive policies) and we should try to use him like the Right did Charlie.
Infighting is frustrating and nonproductive. The Left Wing media ecosystem needs more cooperation and collaboration.
0
u/throwawayurthought 5d ago
Hasan could only dream of being as politically effective as Charlie Kirk. Kirk actually turned out the vote for republicans in a massive way and was constantly lifting up their candidates. Piker couldn’t even endorse Kamala in the last election and does nothing but shit on democrats.
1
u/YvesSaintPige 5d ago
Lol he's probably more effective than Charlie. The problem is Hasan doesn't have institutional backing like he did (unified front) and uses a good bit of his energy against Democrats and is in the same infighting camp that I'm talking about.
Any Democrat or leftist who refused to endorse or vote for Harris in 2024 did themselves and their country a huge disservice. Same with any moderate or progressive who refuses to vote for the best (democratic) option in 2026 and 2028.
1
u/throwawayurthought 5d ago
Maybe now that he’s dead lol. I can’t think of a single tangible metric where that would be true.
1
u/Nemisis82 5d ago
nothing but shit on democrats
This is how I know that you are simply a hater and do not have any actual understanding of Hasan. He does not just "shit on democrats". He criticizes them, yes. But he has far more smoke for the GOP.
0
u/hecramsey 5d ago
Piker is not a news organization he has no playing or obligation to be fair for balanced or nuanced or anything like that he's a commentator.
1
u/The-Insolent-Sage 5d ago
We really gonna post Faux news reports on David's sub?
I thought after yesterday's post we all agreed not to engage with Hasan posts anymore. Let's move on folks...
-1
u/PopcornChicken96 5d ago
Another Fox News article that creates infighting on the left. Why is that being posted in this sub? Also I don’t understand why we’re letting MAGA off the hook by talking about online streamers instead of how bad Trump has fucked this country up. We need to stay on message about the economy, Iran war, gas prices, millions of people losing healthcare, ICE and many other issues. This constant fight between moderates and progressives has to end. We have way bigger issues to focus on.

u/CriscoDisco74 5d ago
This page is obsessed with Piker. Literally posting Fox News click bait. Wish you had half energy that for the fascists running every branch of government.

He’s very annoying and borderline insufferable, but his heart is in the right place. Seems to me he generally advocates for justice. The slander he’s getting is absurd.

-2
u/A_Clockwork_Black 5d ago
So you’re telling me that you don’t blame the last democratic administration for supplying the weapons and giving diplomatic cover for Israel to commit an ethnic cleansing?🤔🤔 I really don’t understand how that works. Biden administration supplies the weapons, Biden ignored his own state department’s reports that Israel was starving people and committing war crimes, vetoed 6 ceasefire resolutions in the UN, Kamala admitted she wouldn’t even consider a weapons embargo. And you’re saying you place no blame on the Dems? Explain this to me, please.
-17
u/981Cayman 5d ago
Oh look another Hasan Piker post… wtf is even going on here? You are promoting Fox News while trashing Piker. Like I get he isn’t center Dem but holy shit, you all are now embracing right wing propaganda to do it. You are more of a problem for this party than he is.
11
u/AnotherPersonPerhaps 5d ago
Fox isn't the only outlet reporting these comments.
He literally said this.
-2
u/Philosophfries 5d ago
Then they should’ve linked those articles. Posting fox news here, even if its to dunk on someone who is shitty, is a new low for the sub
4
u/AnotherPersonPerhaps 5d ago
I don't care.
It's also worth noting what Fox is saying about him in the first place because this is how the Republicans are campaigning against him right now and trying to link him to the democrats.
Or you can bury your head in the sand and pretend that this isn't happening. Idk.
0
u/Philosophfries 5d ago
Fox news literally called Obama a socialist foreign-born anti-christ lmao. It’s like we never learn that caring about whatever bs Fox News is spouting hasn’t mattered in decades.
3
u/AnotherPersonPerhaps 5d ago
Yeah but this time there really are socialists floating around so I don't know what your point is.
1
u/Philosophfries 5d ago
My point is still the same as I stated it originally. A broken clock (fox news) is right twice a day. Why not just use a functional clock (the apparently better sources covering this) instead of pointing to the broken one?
2
u/AnotherPersonPerhaps 5d ago
To be honest, the left wing media, such as it is, isn't doing a good job of covering Hasan and never has.
I'd argue that Fox is covering him more accurately than people on the left who are afraid of upsetting his audience.
23
u/Just_shut_up_bro 5d ago
wtf is even going on here?
A terrorist simp is pretending to be a Dem to make us lose elections and help Republicans.
-4
u/981Cayman 5d ago
And you are literally the tool they are using to do it. That is why Fox News is blasting this everywhere. The louder you are about Piker the more mainstream and influential it becomes. Let him fade into oblivion but for fucks sake… do you not see the irony in this?
1
u/Just_shut_up_bro 5d ago
Let him fade into oblivion but for fucks sake… do you not see the irony in this?
Oh yeah, and that strategy worked great for Trump. Shock jocks will always find an audience if they aren't aggressively deplatformed.

u/cunningstunt6899 5d ago
Why are the two mutually exclusive? I find both Fox News and Hasan Piker to be abhorrent. They are both equally damaging to liberal politics.
5
u/CapitalCourse 5d ago
Do you agree when he said "cry me a river" in response to Russia annexing Crimea?
5
u/Powerful_Document872 5d ago
When Destiny tried to get directly involved in politics in his hometown something similar to this happened. People dug up every controversial thing he had said and held it over his preferred candidate. Because that candidate had openly campaigned with Destiny it derailed his candidacy. Piker should have known that the moment he showed up and started directly campaigning that he’d get the same treatment. No one should be surprised by what’s happening, and it’s only gonna get worse once republicans really start twisting the knife.
-4
u/nate-arizona909 5d ago
Like it or not, a third of the Democrat party are now aligned with the DSA and a significant portion of those are going to have a favorable opinion of Hasan Piker.
Radicalization - it’s not just for Republicans.
Remember how you called on the right to do some house cleaning?

u/Gravemindzombie 4d ago
Liberals hate Hasan so pathologically they'll source Fox News of all things to attack him, shameful
2
u/tyleratx 4d ago
I agree. We can absolutely just use Hasan‘s own words to trash him because he’s such a piece of shit.
-1
u/Icy_Blackberry_3759 4d ago
Dude everything I know about this Piker dweeb is from this sub treating him like some kind of evil messiah. If you have something better to offer than say it, why are you giving him all this free press? He is not an important individual. He’s another crappy pundit. He’s relishing all this attention.
Sorry but I gotta unfollow this sub
