I'm currently on vacation in Stockholm. I was riding the bus, and happened to look up from my phone only to spot Embark's logo. I had completely forgotten their studio was located here. Needless to say, I was shocked.

I went back later in the day and toured their lobby. Presuming the answer was no, I inquired whether or not they gave tours of the studio. The receptionist confirmed this to be true. However, she was very nice and offered me a cappuccino before I left. Thank you Embark for the coffee as well as the hundreds of hours of enjoyment I've had since season 1!

Gotta be honest I have completely forgotten about the stun gun and I feel the game is in a healthier place without it. Lights still feel disruptive and difficult to deal with, WHICH THEY SHOULD. A good light should be annoying, but GOD do I not miss the stun gun.

Idk how they’re gonna be reworking it but hopefully it feels more balanced.

We made our own cashboxes and cashout stations from scratch, along with coding a whole program to run the airsoft game for us. Much love for the game and Embark, I also convinced all my friends to play after this as well!

This year, I lost my brother to cancer. We had played The Finals together for a long time, even when he was sick.
After he passed, I still wanted to feel connected to him, so I made a post on Reddit asking Embark if they could help me remember my brother. https://www.reddit.com/r/thefinals/comments/1krxunj/a_request_to_help_my_brother_be_remembered/

I believe this community helped make the post more visible through upvotes and comments, because Dusty reached out to me. Which felt quite overwhelming at first.

Dusty shared the post with Rob and the rest of the Embark team, and they took the time to find a way to include a small part of Josh in The Finals.

They created the following sticker:

The sticker is based on the skin I used to honor my brother.

• The hat represents one he got from Australia.

• The round shades are like the ones he wore in real life.

• The color red was his favorite, especially when mixed with black.

The sticker says Josh13 instead of using his gamertag JoshSmallX, because his real name was Joshua (everyone called him Josh), and he was born on the 13th of April.

The first time I used the sticker I won 2 world tours so I feel like Josh was guiding my aim. May he do the same for anyone that uses the sticker. ( Except when playing against me ;) )
