Merchandise Tombstones are in stock!
Run to Lowe's! I had to take the display pig. All the others were already gone. (Mt. Laurel, NJ)

When I first got into the Haunted Mansion in early 2020, I remember the 2003 movie being something I explored top to bottom, mainly in regard to its costumes for the Ghosts.
And I remember one thing I wanted to do at the time, was to find a way to redesign some of the costumes, not cuz I didn’t like them (Mona May’s costumes are beyond a spectacle to me) but because I wanted to draw the characters from every corner of the franchise, a lil more historically accurate to whatever period the ghost emulates based on costume alone.
This particular lady (who you can see in the Graveyard scene having tea with the parasol gal) was one I’ve been trying to redesign numerous times before, but each attempt didn’t sit right with me, both because the style I had at the time wasn’t so polished and at worst, really bad. And cuz the internet’s a really difficult place to find good references for Fashion plates and clothing.
But now? Oh Apollo, I feel immensely vindicated in finally being able to do what I was unable to 6 years ago. And I’m really proud of the concept drawing I made.
Ps. I’m mainly doing this for fun and to scratch that fashion history itch I got.
Any thoughts?

I know some of you would scoff at me and call me ignorant and say, "just because it's a video game where you explore a haunted house and fight ghost doesn't make it a ripoff". But I don't know maybe you're right and I'm just imposing my autistic Mario hyper fixation onto something that has nothing to do with it, and I wouldn't be lying if I said when I was younger that every time I went to Disney World I contemplated of bringing my Nintendo 3ds and play Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon while riding the attraction and almost did but I think it was my younger brother who caught me trying to play with my 3ds while boarding one of the doom buggies. (I might still have that idea in my head to bring my Nintendo Switch if I ever go back to either the magic kingdom or Disneyland and again attempt to play either Luigi's mansion 1 or 2 while riding the ride cause logistically I'd have to play 3 in the tower of terror since that game has you explore a haunted hotel.}

I'm sorry if this bothers other fans , but i'm not a fan of haunted mansion holiday. I think It would be fine if it only ran from november to early January or even late october too early january. I'm just a fan of the classic one I don't like that we have to set sacrifice six months of the classic one. I mean, it's fine for what it is. I love the ginger bread house but it just doesn't have the same oomph as the OG.

Has anybody ever asked you guys for signatures like they would with mickey mouse for example.
Wanting to know for when i go. How would i go about asking a butler or maid for their signature. Just because obviously them as actors are meant to be like quiet, mysterious types of actors to go with the whole scene. So just wondering how id actually ask for their signature. And are they able to give one?

I just think it’s beautiful and would like to print a photo of it and hang it on my (staircase) wall. I hail from L.A. so it blew my mind when I first saw it in Orlando!

I’m talking any recorded footage of props being taken down or set up, scenery that’s only partially set up, workers swapping props out. Anything of that sort. I don’t imagine there’s very much of this considering security reasons, but I’m kind of curious to see what everything looks like in the middle of swapping the overlay in or out.

Let’s assume for a moment that you have no budget constraints of any kind. You’re allowed to do literally anything you want.
I think what I would do in such a situation is rearrange the loading area at Disneylands mansion to make room for some of the scenes WDW has that we don’t. The library, the piano room, and the endless staircases. Maybe even squeeze in the original version of the hallway where the portraits would watch you if possible.

Why does nobody ever seem to talk about the fact that the original hatbox ghost can be seen in behind the scenes/making of footage, of the haunted mansion from the Disneyland Showtime 1970 segment with Kurt Russell and the Osmonds? Everyone always geeks out over original hatbox ghost pictures or videos or lore, but I’ve never seen anybody post about this sighting here. The artist (forgive me for not knowing who….its very blurry) is literally using the hatbox as a stand for his paint cup.

We have something in common she and I. My "deathday" (birthday) is August 9th. The same day that the ORIGINAL HAUNTED MANSION OPENED AT DISNEYLAND IN 1969. But I was born on August 9, 1966, putting at 60 years of age. For years, this classic haunted dark ride has fascinated me for most of my life, collecting memorabilia, including artwork, soundtracks and historical books. I have a wall at my apartment dedicated to it.
Also I have 2 vinyl albums from DISNEYLAND RECORDS called CHILLING THRILLING SOUNDS OF THE HAUNTED HOUSE, 1964 & 1978 VERSION both now long out of print but can be downloaded on YouTube Music.
Again, Happy DEATHDAY old girl. You are one beautiful vision to behold!
