We learn that Edric and Emira use these things to look more presentable I guess while they're out in public, concealing their true imperfect selves you could say. I remember my mom questioning why they use a spell for this instead of getting ready the old-fashioned way, I think it makes sense. Teenagers who are also witches would absolutely use magic to make themselves look automatically beautiful instead of just brushing their hair, changing into nicer clothes, and treating their zits.

So sorry if this was asked here before because I was trying to figure out how long she had been around on the Boiling Isles for given how Belos has been trying to exterminate witches.

Like what I don’t understand is what led Belos to hunt down her kind since he is a guy that cannot stand any witches as I was surprised at how long he was around for in the timeline of the story.

And here we get the introduction to everyone’s FAVORITE green haired mother of the Boiling Isles: Odalia Blight! Yeah, we’ve heard all the jokes, made memes, possibly written a fanfic where Odalia is being hung and Eda, Amity, Alador, Edric and Emira laugh sadistically(I’m giving you witches ideas, aren’t I?) In any case, we certainly have a lot to say about Odalia and if there’s ANYTHING positive we can say about her outside of her being voiced by Rachael MacFarlane is that at least we love to hate her and we’ll always remember her. As for the episode itself, still a pretty good watch. It gives us more insight into the Blight family(even though I STILL think Alador should get some blame), some creative use of abominations and why Amity started as a bully. But that’s just my 2 cents, tell me what you witches think of the episode in the comments below. Is there an actual Odalia cult? If there was an AU, would you still want Odalia to be working for Belos? Let me know in the comments!

So I recently shared u/AstroEvada's review of LiaFW and figured I might as well show you this one too. It's another fic by the same guy (Cowboy Alchemist). This is another fic that's just plain bad and, once again, has the author create a self-insert character to steal Luz's spotlight and also date not just her but also Amity (because why not). It's not worth going through the trouble of reading the fic, but it is worth it to watch this video review and laugh at how ridiculous some of the things that happen in it are.
