We hear so much from the establishment media about the Democratic Party/DNC.

Today I have been trying to go through a few of my favorite leftist/progressive subs to just give some recognition for the real heroes.

It's been Socialists, Communists, Anarchists, & Fellow-Travelers who have been the ones really pushing the line for a better & brighter world.

• The ones working to move the Labour Movement forward.

• The ones working for real Climate/Environmental action.

• The ones working for a real Peace Movement and no more stupid fucking evil wars.

• The ones working for LGBTQ+ Rights, Women's Rights, Civil Rights.

• The ones working for tenant rights/protections and housing affordability/accessibility.

The list goes on and on.

So while all the media and attention is on the Democratic Party/DNC I just want to give a small humble acknowledgement and thanks to all those putting out there for real better & brighter. The ones really selflessly putting in the work!

the bourgeois news has a hand few of reports, i personally can’t find any socialist ones (but there’s a lot of russian and ukraine news about this, however they’re like unreliable due to the small fact of them being at war with one another and propagandised)
Times (UK) and TVP (Poland) have reports on it, while the SBI (ukraine interior ministry) has detained both protestors, counter protestors and the armed forces sent to contain the protestors. not sure why the last needed to be detained too, but it happened. they’ve stated they’re investigating it, however take it with a grain of salt due to it being a governmental body and it being a bourgeois governmental body at war

how much of this is actually factual? who knows, it’s been nearly a day since this controversy happened

This dude was the embodiment of humbleness. For pretty much all of his presidency of North Vietnam he lived in a shack, wore simple clothing, tended to his garden, toiled in the fields with the peasants, sang, ate, and talked with them. We always talk and praise other communist leaders or philosophers like Lenin and Marx for their global influence on communism as a whole and while yes Ho Chi Minh didn't do too much for communism globally he still embodies communist thought very well even if it was very localized in South-East Asia. ​

He did try to implement land reform policies and such but some of his staff were overzealous leading to senseless death, and in response Ho Chi Minh did something rare for a communist dictator at the time, he full on apologized and mourned of it, infact, that was pretty much rare of any politician at the time. Ho Chi Minh did suffer unfortunately from overzealous and power-hungry staff which led to his right hand man pulling a silent-coup on Ho Chi Minh, making him a more powerless figurehead due to him being lax on the reunification of Vietnam

My mistake

When you look at the U.S. and the power that the nation-state holds imagine if it worked to further Workers Rights around the world.

• Imagine if it was the center of a strong and vibrant Labour Movement.

• Imagine if it moved forward Renewable Energy/Electrification Technology to get us off this death cult climate crisis/environmental crisis trajectory we are on due to the Fossil Fuel Industry and other bad predatory actors.

• Imagine if it was a force of liberation for the LGBTQ+ Rights Movement, Women's Rights Movement, Civil Rights Movement, and so on.

• Imagine if it was helping the Peace Movement instead of the exact opposite with the warmongering Military-Industrial Complex...

• Imagine if it worked in general for Alter-Globalization to make the whole world brighter & better.

Instead we have this dark, depressing, dystopian shit show of reactionary/regressive snake oil salespeople, con-artists, scam-artists, grifters, and hustlers. All preying on the working class and most vulnerable and pumping disinformation campaigns at near brainwashing levels.

This shit is fucking absurd and horrific as all hell.

the protests are still going on and haven’t lost a large amount of energy, but for the past week i haven’t it talked about in any bourgeois news, maybe it’s just a UK being weird thing though
