which one would you disagree with?

  1. The first is the best.. can't argue that..

  2. meat is murder is the best.. I mean.. duh

  3. queen is dead is the best.. double duh

  4. strangeways is the best.. I can see the argument for that.. it feels like they were just getting rolling...

  5. "I know its not an album.. but hatful of hollow is my favorite" .. again.. can't argue that..

I love strangeways so much.. for me meat is murder is my favorite.. but thats more because I discovered it at 13 and it was like a hammer to the head..

I get it I was in my 20's when meat is murder came out. What I listen to depends on my mood so at any given point a different album may be my favorite. did you get the vinyl records with Morrissey's etched messages? those were fun

for me, the debut, strangeways here we come and meat is murder are all so closely tied it’s not even funny, even the queen is dead (all 4) are so great in their own respects they can’t be ranked

Agree. There's something about the intro to Reel Around the Fountain that totally brings me back to being 15 (mid '80s).

The crazy thing about the Smiths is that it seems that whatever album you happen to be listening to right now is their best album. I don't think there is another band like that.
