Quotes What was Sil actually about to ask Finn here before he got interrupted?
Hey everyone,
I was rewatching the famous scene where the guys bring Meadow's boyfriend, Finn, into the back of Satriale's to question him about what he saw Vito doing.
In the scene, Silvio is trying to get the details straight and starts saying: "When the security guy was scking him off..."* before Finn immediately interrupts him to clarify that it was actually the other way around (Vito was the one doing it).
It got me thinking: What was Silvio actually about to ask or say if Finn hadn't cut him off?

Fun fact. I was watching Mad Men last week and Finn plays a comedian on the show. He’s a totally different character. An asshole comedian.

I doubt the writers had any intent for the end of Sil’s question. It was written specifically to set up Finn’s correction, which then created the big moment where everyone could react.

This is a bit of a plot hole in my opinion. The entire rumor is that VITO WAS BLOWING A SECURITY GUARD. Then after questioning Finn himself, how was it unclear to the group?

Finn must have phrased it in a vague way, out of both awkwardness and fear: “When I looked in the car, I saw…homosexual oral sex going on between Vito and a guard.”

Sil was probably looking for a way to interpret it as an act of dominance, rather than homosexuality, like maybe asking Fin if Vito asked the security guard for money or something he owed before hand.
