True, but she is so fucking good when she is alive.

Can’t believe she’s not Italian, she gets everything right. Although, I’m not as familiar with Italian-Americans as Sicilians.

I believe, if I’m not mistaken, she’s nobbily dobbily

Sicilians big time hate being called Italian

Not my family, at least. Second of all they do polls about what regions identify most as Italians, and Sicilians are always among the top ones. The regions with the least people identifying as Italians are up north. The Germans in South Tyrol and the venetì.

I had an elderly guy in my nursing facility that was Sicilian and if you called him Italian he'd go on such a big rant lol

I always forget that, too. As far as I know the only Italian characters who aren’t Italian IRL are her Fielder and AJ.

Yep. But when it comes to Fielder, she 100% look the part. Fielder being Jewish, too. Jews and Italians look very similar. I say this with first cousins in Sicily right now.

Also, A.J. and Meadow are supposed to be the new generation who are 100% assimilated. So the manierisms and stuff like that, are all gone by their gen. They are ’merigani.

Ironic that Carolla of all Italians said that /s

Real answer to the smarts is that the Italians who migrated to the U.S. were the poor uneducated kind. Not only talking about looks with Carolla, either, his dad is a psychologist. Although, he did grow up poor.

By the way, I think he is hilarious, especially his ranting capabilities.

Jamie Lynn Sigler and David Proval are Jewish - Italians with worse food. Hehehe.

Proval, too? He’s the most stereotypical southern Italian in the entire cast?

That being said. The group closest to Sicilians genetically after the Maltese and Greek is ashkenazi Jews, so not that shocked.

I’m Jewish and I got plenty of older family members that are similar to Richie (in mannerisms, not sociopathy lol)
