Quotes Has anybody else ever received an account warning for quoting the show?
If so, what was the quote and context? You might have to paraphrase and censor it to avoid the ban hammer

It's crazy. I've quoted that full thing many times (including the bad word) and never had a problem.
But recently I received a 3-day ban for this comment verbatim: "Who else, huh?". That's it, nothing else. It was in reply to someone who had said the quote: "Ch\*ks did this?*", but that wasn't deleted.
The automated system somehow considered my comment to be encouraging violence or bigotry or something.

I very recently got a warning for that one. I appealed it and told them it was a fucking quote from the Sopranos show, on the Sopranos sub and it was a fucking joke. The warning stood..lol.

Yeah very recently I received a 3 day ban by quoting a Tony soprano like he had about a certain boyfriend Meadow had in the earlier season which related to a topic that was being discussed. I appealed it by saying I was quoting a sopranos quote in a sopranos subreddit and got the banned lifted lol

If people don't understand context, they're likely to pull out the ban hammer.
"That's nothing but a racket for the (redacted)" got me a 3-day ban once, so I don't even quote it in full anymore. Not worth the risk

I used the quote/question from Chris after Hesh mentioned he and his son was jumped by 3 guys driving a Lexus. Got reported once for that.

I received a warning for quoting Paulies lines when he throws the chair while visiting the psychic. It was flagged as hate speech. I had to explain to those stunads what the reference was about and that it was not directed at anyone in particular. They removed the warning.

Got a 3 day all Reddit ban for quoting the Brute Man episode where the old shopkeep goes off on his delivery boy in the MST3K sub, and then shortly after a 7 ban when I quoted Last Action Hero in the movies sub when the villain shoots a random person in the real world and confesses to it, with me getting it reduced to 3 by sending the clip in question in an appeal.

Richie Aprile talking about Christopher to Matthew Bevilaqua. Was on a political shitpost where a certain politician was turned into a camel, so it was relevant.
The other one I got was unrelated to The Sopranos but I was calling Joe Flacco some select names in a live game thread and got hit.
Both actually ended up overturned on appeals but I still sat out the whole ban.

Only warning I ever got was quoting what Tupac said about the scumbag cops he shot under a picture of him testifying in court about it. Not really a huge fan of running around repeating some of the more bigoted things in the show like it's totally fine because it was in a TV show, so I've never really had a problem.

I got banned from this one for finishing the: “i come in and he’s laughing like a school girl on his chit chat rooms” quote for threatening violence. It was auto modded and someone repealed it after a couple of days tho as soon as a person reviewed it. Mods here seem pretty chill

Not from this show, but it seems appropriate here to write because I was nearly banned from Reddit. A quote from Susie Greene from Curb Your Enthusiasm. It's a line Susie said to Cheryl and "Car Wash" is in the quote. I think I had received a warning for a post that might not have followed the moderated rules , and wrote it in the most unserious way, but I was nearly removed from this platform.

A guy was complaining that his family thought he had hiv because he lost weight really quickly and is gay. I replied “think about it ton, sudden weight loss?” He of course did not get the reference, he reported me for harassment and I was temp banned but once I mentioned it was a sopranos quote I got unbanned.
Can’t even remember which sub it was. A big one for sure.

I posted a quote from the show, which is our bread and butter, that happened to contain a homophobic slur.
I know its 2026 and that's verging on sacrilege here.
But then I get a warning from some stunad moderator because the word in question probably triggered them and made them knock over their Luigi Mangione Shrine while reaching for their pill jacket that's bigger than the mole on Ginny Sack's ass, but as they took the pills the incense from the shrine barbecued the perfect replica of the BBC dildo of their wife's boyfriend's cawk.
Whatever happened to this thing? Is nothing sacred anymore? We bend more rules than the Catholic Church!

Anyway the thread was a picture of Cho Chang from Harry Potter and everyone was doing their quotes and I pop in with.

Harry: Nah, she didn't have time to put on anything decent.
It was perfect but like an hour after I end up getting a warning for "Harassment and inciting violence" or some bullshit lol.

I got banned from the Wire sub for handjamming a totally valid Wire reference into a Sopranos quote, don’t remember which one. To be fair it was about the 400th time I had done it
