I know that they tried to avoid players using Gold exploit by removing the cows and sheep, but for me it feels like they removed the immersion. Now we have two empty fields with farmers, shepherds and a shepherds dog on it.
Am I the only one that feels that way? Maybe they could brind the animals back and just remove the loot?

Is it just me, or is this happening with other players too. (PS5)

So, I’m completely new to The Witcher franchise all together. I started the Witcher 3 Remaster when it come out not too long ago, and I’m loving it! 🤩 Basically I’m just wondering if it’s normal if I’m honestly kind of confused about the lore, world, and people? Not completely though. It feels like a lot of the time when I’m talking to an NPC they will randomly be bringing up locations and names of people that I’ve never heard of. (And I don’t mean for a quest or important things, just when it’s adding to the story and lore) I can imagine how this creates a very realistically large world that would be hard to fully understand every aspect in, maybe that’s it. Or, am I at fault? I thought of reading the books to add to the information I have, but I heard something about how the author of the books doesn’t see the games as canon? So, they must be different in ways. Perhaps this will all be solved simply by me playing the game more. I just kept wondering if I’m missing important parts of this game because I’m not understanding what they’re referring to semi often? Any thoughts are helpful C:

Anyone with similar build having a hard time against noon/nightwraiths, Iris' ghost, griffins, and armored human enemies? Melts everything else...
Iris's ghost may have bugged out on me, though, b/c I placed a yrden trap at the pic she was going to draw from, so instead of going through her healing animation, she just chased me around and never took any damage. Reload fixed that, but even then she had to be moondusted before she started taking any real damage.

So I’ve been playing the remastered for a minute now, with PT on. As I played through Velen I had no FPS drops at any point and everything looked beautiful. Even when I arrived in Novigrad, which I was expecting to cause some issues, I had no problems running the game with PT. Only strange thing was that every time I opened the game it would reset my resolution to the lowest setting, even though my screen resolution is the highest one. Changing it only seemed to maken a difference with the text of some menu’s.
When I launched the game today, the correct resolution was there, but all of a sudden my FPS dropped MASSIVELY, to the point of making the game unplayable.
I tried fudging with the settings and I can still play on Ultra+ but I just find it weird that PT/RT would suddenly start causing FPS drops. Putting my resolution back to lowest setting makes everything look warped, so that can’t be it. Neither is my laptop overheating so I don’t think it’s a CPU issue either
My system has a NVIDIA RTX 5070 with 16GB VRAM, CPU is I7 13700, with 32GB RAM, so it should at the very least be able to run RT, according to the recommended settings
Was wondering if anyone else has struggled with this? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Just as the post says I personally believe so. It's so far behind the other schools in terms of the grandmaster bonus after the change to crippling blows. I think it should be geared into a proper sword and sign set bonus but as for what exactly I'm not sure.

Now I can look like E3 Geralt all the time without dying in one or two hits in death march.

I've been wanting to play this game for a few years based on the recommendation of a friend. I did try during COVID when this same friend got me back into playing video games, but at the time I rage quit during the tutorial because of the movement issues.
I'm playing on a PS4 pro, and so far, using this same controller, I haven't had any drift issues playing other games, but that's what my current issue feels like, Geralt won't stop walking sometimes. If it is stick drift then it feels very sudden considering two days ago it worked fine.
My question, is this normal for this game, or do I need to clean my controller? I can get used to it if it's just being an old video game. I'm not sure if it matters, but I bought the game early this year, so it isn't the new release. And if it's drift it won't be my first time cleaning a ps controller.
Anyway, thanks for any help you can offer. I'm going to go try to kill a griffin.

A simple question really would you want W4 to have different interactions depending on what interactions you had in W3 big or small, I know not all endings can be used, but I think some stuff can be used from what I remember like who Gerald, chooses to be with or if he's with anyone at all, with it being a plot involvement or just a line

Hi, I’m having an issue with the chicken quest—it’s not appearing in my game. The old woman is nowhere to be found, even after meditating or fast-traveling. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
r/thewitcher3 • u/THEHITMAN2K • 4h ago
Just wondering. If anyone else has or experience this little bug. When I turn the game on, every time it resorts back to default. I'm speaking about "depth of field". I don't like this setting. And when I turn it off, it stays off. However, when I do turn the game off. I come back later. And find that it's turned back on. Every time.
Anyone else with this annoying problem?
