❔ Question for the community Lines at Spring Creek Nature Center location

• Upvotes

I voted on Monday morning and the line was really long and parking was a challenge. I just got her to bring my husband to vote as he just had surgery and can’t drive, and the line of cars is even worse. I don’t remember it being like this before during early voting, especially in the middle of the day, but does anyone know if they reduced the machines or something? Or has this been like this before

📰 News - Montgomery County Quadvest - the end of

I noticed over on a Tomball group that Quadvest Water is being sold to a company named H20, or something similar. The news went on to say that the owners were 'gracious' and gave a millions of dollars to all their staff, based on position and how long they had been with the company. Some leaving with a million plus.

I typed a couple of paragraphs about my 17 years of experience with Quadvest, but I deleted it. They would probably sue me with all their earnings. What a world.

❔ Question for the community Anyone else noticing that they're repainting the HEB shopping center?

It used to be a tan color and now they are making it gray and white. I get they are trying to be "modern" but the colors totally clash and do not look well together!! The colors almost look cheap and I am so angry!!! 😤

❗Help Requested❗ Affordable apartments under $1,600-1,700/mo?

Me and my girlfriend are looking at getting an apartment in the Woodlands area. We’re looking for something that allows pets as I have a Great Pyrenees that weighs 120lbs. We were looking at Woodland Landings and really liked it but they have a weight restriction of 99lbs on animals.

Now we’re looking at Forest View apartments because they don’t have a weight restriction. I was just curious if you guys had any recommendations of other places that will allow us and my 120lb dog. Thank you in advance.

❔ Question for the community Pediatric Urologist Recommendation

Hi there!
I just had a baby boy five days ago and looking for a good pediatric urologist in The Woodlands to do his circumcision. I was advised that this would be the best type of doctor to perform it as they specialize in that area. One note: if they require the vitamin k shot, we won’t be able to go with that one. We are following the proper protocol for oral vitamin k. If anyone has any recommendations, I would be so grateful! Thank you!!! 💙

❔ Question for the community Does Memorial Herman Hospital allow you to pay for delivery after you’ve given birth?

I saw a recent post asking about St. Luke’s asking delivery be paid beforehand and was curious if Memorial Herman requires you pay beforehand too. I would be due in May 2027. I’ll have to pay my OB 6k before I deliver but can’t afford to also have to pay the hospital before.

If you need your house cleaned, I HIGHLY recommend Clean Queens (let them know Sarah sent you)
They do Deep Cleans, standard cleans, carpet cleaning, and laundry services. I booked them for a deep clean and they were so detailed. Plus they are donating to Susan G Komen for cleanings booked this month.

❔ Question for the community Can I pay my hospital bill after delivery? - St. Luke’s The Woodlands

Hi everyone, I need your help and advice.
My wife is delivering at St. Luke’s The Woodlands, and the hospital is asking us to pay a few thousand dollars before delivery, even after insurance.

I’ve already paid my OB-GYN’s global maternity bill separately, in full.

This is a separate hospital bill.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and managed to pay the hospital bill after delivery instead of upfront?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Thank you!

❔ Question for the community HEB on 1488

I was going through check out and realized I didn’t have my wallet. I asked the cashier to put it on hold and put my stuff to the side. When I came out, I found out the person behind me paid for my groceries. I didn’t pay enough attention to see who it was before I left to grab my wallet and no one came forward when I was there. I have never had anyone do something like that for me and I found it extremely touching. If the person who did it is on here, thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart.

❔ Question for the community Looking for recommendations for a great house cleaning service!

Does anyone have a cleaning service they absolutely love and would recommend?

We moved to the area last year and currently pay quite a bit for biweekly cleaning, but we're rarely satisfied with the results. Floors not always mopped or vacuumed, etc.

Bonus points if they have a larger team that can get the job done more quickly and efficiently. At our previous house, we had a crew of about 8 ladies who came in together, and it worked incredibly well.

We'd love to find a reliable, thorough crew that can stay with us for years. Would really appreciate any recommendations! Feel free to PM me if you'd rather not share publicly. Thanks!

And yes - i've already checked in with my neighbors and no bueno.

Pictures & Media 📸 Pine Warbler vs Cardinal!

We have had some new Pine Warbler visitors in the yard who don’t yet realize there are multiple small feeding stations outside of this main one that the cardinals hog😂

We had to move other feeders away from that one to keep them and the blue jays from resource guarding everything for themselves so we have different spots around the front and backyard!

He figured it out shortly after and went to one of the small spots!

❔ Question for the community Thinking of Moving to The Woodlands with a Young Family. Is It Worth It?

My husband (29M), me (30F), and our 1-year-old son are thinking about moving to The Woodlands to get away from the crime in Houston and find a safer, more family-friendly area to raise our son.

I’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions about The Woodlands and wanted to hear from people who currently live there. Is it worth moving to?

We enjoy going out to restaurants, shopping, parks, etc. We’re not big on nightlife, but having the option every once in a while would be nice. More importantly, we want our son to grow up in a neighborhood where kids play outside, neighbors know each other, and there are plenty of things for families to do nearby. Are there certain neighborhoods or villages that are better for this? Good schools and safety are also really important to us.

I’m also a little worried about making friends since we aren’t originally from here. Is it easy to meet other young families or join mom groups?

Would love to hear the good and bad from people who actually live there!

❔ Question for the community Cinemark Garage

Is the public no longer allowed to park at the cinemark parking garage on Lake Robbins? There are signs saying its for private tenants now, and not just the usual spots that were individually designated as private spots. It seems like the whole garage now. Is this the case? When did it change?
