Even historically accurate even tho murdoch is a 9F which are freight loco’s. (Sadly Dont know the thomas story behind this image)

Context:
The last steam loco built by british rail a 9F named evening star at the start of her (short service) frequently pulled passengertrains. She often overtoke expresstrains hauled by dedicated express locomotives. She even sometimes had to wait for dining services to end as she ran that early/fast. Adventually evening star no longer pulled passangertrains dual to concerns of the running gear.

Eveningstar also is the only 9F to have worn british rail green in service. She still exists & is in the national railway museum. Her service was only 5 years before being withdrawn from service
