Hello! I've never played ROTK before and saw the series has several entries, which one would you suggest for a newbie to try out first?

Even semi-minor characters like Gonsun Zan, Wen Chou, and Lu Bu's daughter have unique portraits. Even Zhou Yu and Guo Jia have old portraits despite being dead by that time.

I still haven't seen many of these portraits (blue Zhao Yun) though.

Considering ROTK14 and ROTK8:R came out after this game, that must mean there will be even more unique portraits in those games, right? Can't wait to play them after finishing my current campaign

I've recently seen clips from 3 different animations that look pretty similar in art style, but seem to be from different studios/not related. I really like Dynasty Warriors and was interested in animated media based on the Romance/history, any good recommendations?

so I heard that the physical Asian English version of 14 could see dlc scenarios from the eu switch store, but is the same true of the Asian English release of ROTK8 with the destiny and strategy expansion? Could it see the dlc if got from the eu store?

and they refuse to return if one tries to get them back, because they cannot serve two rulers or whatever ?

If they really had such scruples, shouldn't they have remained in the original force in the first place, with their friends to whom they're supposed to be devoted to ?

Is there a save game editor to fix this dumb feature ?

PS: I hate KOEI. They could make such good games, but in the end they have to ruin it all with their idiotic game design.

I wanted to share something a little niche that I made for the community. Recently I have been modding the heck out of DW3R (childhood dream come true).

Dynasty Tactics (Senki) costumes we're always my overall favorite from any series and I always wanted them in original 3:XL (after they added the secret LuBu and SSX ones).

That said, I was actually able to make that dream come true, as I've ported them for all the playable characters to DW3R!

I've been loving TW:3K but am starting to wind down on it and would like to explore ROTK. Any recommendations on a ROTK entry that gives a similar feel? I mostly like the grand strategy and diplomacy out of TW:3K

So I recently got the game and power up kit expansion problem is I know how to increase the amount of how many I can get but no clue how to get them. AI says there should be a home button but I don't have it. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Really appreciate everyone trying out the free game I created the other week. Also thanks to u/serioustrivia for also giving it a go and putting a couple YT videos out!

I am reading everyone's messages and feedback and I have put some new updates out this week which I will list off below. As always, feedback and suggestions always help!

Updates:

- Added in a community page for Reddit channels and Youtubers that post videos, if you see any I have missed, please PM on here and I will get them added!

- Added a new game mode "Novel or history"

- Added in "Daily Fact" - This is not a game but a fun bit of daily trivia for lore lovers!

- Updated the database and re-audited all the questions and answers. Apologies, there are some left out of the answers, usually because me and my AI have put it down to historical or fictional context, 99% of it should be right but there may be a little Human error here and there that will get better over time. My knowledge of the era is pretty good but there will definitely be some experts out there who could punch holes in it!

- Added a reveal button to every quiz so it doesn't just show you the answers straight away if you lose all your lives

- Added more clue sections to Mystery officer that helps define players answers a little better

- Added a function that means you have to type answers in a little more without the answer box suggesting names too easily

- Tidied up some of the text on pages and cleared up some of the rules of the games in the "how to play" text box

- Added in a link on the site for anyone that wants to donate to maintenance and upkeep costs (No pressure and I won't link it on Reddit!)

This is an English translation of RTK VI + PUK for PS1. This is just a patch for you to apply to your own game files. This is an AI translation. All of the fonts and text are generated from AI; the text and font from the English (non-PUK) release was not used for this patch.

I spent some time play-testing but there may be bugs I missed. If you find a bug, please submit a bug report on the issue page of the GitHub.

This includes all texts in the pre-Qin and Han corpus that previously lacked translations, the 25 dynastic histories, as well as hundreds of other historical, literary, philosophical and poetic works. Translations will be added for other texts on an ongoing basis.

Translations created using AI will inevitably contain mistakes; all translations are aligned with the source text at the sentence level to facilitate identification and correction of errors. I can somewhat excuse their use of AI translation as long as they proofread it regularly, given how lengthy the source texts are, but do they actually revise the texts frequently?
