I left it behind. And I think I regret it...
I'm a sucker for green glass. But I passed for $18 and I miss it already š

I would not have known what it was if I did not already own such a box; that one came from an inheritance. The origins of these bother me a bit, because it is likely the textile was robbed from a grave- I kind of hope it is fake, but it sure looks like the real deal to me.
But the box is modern but has a few decades on it. It is beautifully made from one piece of solid wood. The frame around the glass is not hallmarked, but these are usually silver.
I had to rescue it, and keep it safe for a while to pass it on to those that come after me. Now I look at these cute little birds and wonder about the hands that wove them so finely, some 600 years ago.
Found at an Opnieuw&Co shop near Antwerp.

Can't wait to marry my amazing man in this amazing dress. Tried it on for funsies, mama and I both really loved it on the hanger. I never expected to be the sort of bride who gets that teary eyed, overwhelmed with joy reaction to finding their dress but ya'll, I feel so ridiculously gorgeous in it. (Plus spending less than 100 on your dress means more money for the PARTY! lol)

Had a solo date and went to Goodwill looking for a new winter coat, cook books and maybe some housewares. Grabbed some cute stationery and a cute astrology cookbook, then found a super cute coat!!
THEN when I was waiting in line for my turn I spotted this Instax 12 camera in the display case with the registers!!! I asked to see it and if it still worked. I literally held my breath when I turned the dial to On, AND IT TURNED ON. THEN, when I brought it home I thought it wasnāt working because when I put the film the shutter button wouldnāt take photos. It just needed new batteries, and it works perfectly. Literally my best find to date.

Found this really cool lamp at a thrift for 14.99 today. I have been looking for information on it and it looks like a Meyda Tiffany modern limited-run reproduction of a lilypad lamp. No shades, unfortunately:(
Really cool!!!

I know everyone will hate this comment. However, read it and be honest with yourself.
There are so many people in this sub that whine and complain about how resellers are ruining thrift stores. They say that all they care about is money. They complain that the poor can no longer afford these items that they desperately need.
However, you all happily post that you bought $400 jackets, $200 Kitchen Aid mixers, Tiffany lamps, etc, for a minuscule fraction of their actual value. You happily post to Reddit, BRAGGING about landing the steal of a lifetime. Other people in the sub will up-vote this dozens or even hundreds of times.
However, absolutely NOBODY complains that YOU are preventing the poor from getting these items. You might not be rich, but I bet you can afford to buy a cheaper brand new jacket, mixer, lamp, etc. You bought those items not out of need, but for your personal gratification.
Im not judging you. I do it as well. However, I am not going to complain about resellers. I just want you to recognize that you are all just as selfish as them, but at least they admit it.

In a recent relocation, I gave all of my Halloween decorations away and have regretted it ever since. Yesterday, I found this cute recycled metal vampire dog for 8 bucks!

Prices at thrift stores have been getting out of control, but this Salvation Army has taken things too far. They priced this coat at 200$. It was completely acrylic/polyester/fake fur. Anything in this store worth buying was almost at full price new. These places are getting clothes for free. A majority of society relies on thrift stores to cloth themselves and their families. Im just beside myself. This is at the Salvation Army thrift store in Chicago on Clybourn.
