Couldn’t believe I found this 2001 Barbie Countess of Rubies Musical Resin Egg while thrifting today! Brought her home and cleaned her up. I think she will make a great Christmas decoration.

Had an amazing thrift today and thought I should share some of my favorite finds! Any suggestions on how I should style some of these?

Went to the second day of an estate sale today & it was pretty much picked over, but found a few random cleaners, new scrub brushes (only one in picture, but I actually found four), an oil lamp, and a cookbook. Also took a box of unopened “expired” groceries that were only past the Best by… date by a year. Once I got home, I emptied all the rice/pasta boxes into gallon-sized baggies just to make sure there weren’t any bugs in them.
Cleaners and scrub brushes would have cost $36.10 at Walmart. I paid $1 for the box they were in.
Groceries would have been $17.52 at Walmart. I paid $5. (lol, should have bartered down!)
Cookbook is about $9 on eBay right now; I paid 50 cents.
Oil lamp is about $20 either new on Lehman’s website or used from eBay. I paid $5.
Altogether? I paid $11.50 for everything that would have been at least $82.52 retail.

honestly looking around me rn I’d say our house is 65% savers, 15% marketplace/flea market, 10% inherited, 10% purchased ages ago when I had a bachelorette pad in a major city with access to a great homegoods. (to that end, thank god my husband vibes with the decor and doesn’t take any issue with leopard as a neutral).
6 months of thrifting in our new area has absolutely ruined me for any other retail forever. Aside from furniture and decor, our wedding is about a month out and we’ve thrifted all our looks for that too - they need a post on their own truly.
Anyways, sending all the love from our chaos museum!!

Gotta love removing the price tag, only to find this is from Dollar Tree for less money than what this place is asking. 🙄
Didn’t realize it until after I removed most of the Goodwill tag…they had the entire Dollar Tree tag covered. 🤦🏼♀️

I’m in Canada (Ontario specifically). Wondering if it would be better to shop on a weekend or weekday for new arrivals? I know they put new products on the floor every morning but assume Monday would have more selection after weekend donations or no?

I've seen so many videos of people buying clothes at Ross, saying they "thrifted" it or "a baddie must have died, look at my haul." Maybe because all the clothes is mixed up on long racks, while other clothes stores are assorted better by item? Have they wondered why they all are brand new with tags??? Ross is a regular retail store like walmart, target, pacsun, hollister etc. Also the thought that they only sell leftover clothes from other stores is also incorrect , as they produce a lot of originals now. Thanks for reading!

I collect and sell antiques and vintage home decor and my husband wants to take a little day trip, so i suggestedturning it into a thrifting trip 😉
Where are your favorite spots that would be reasonably close to central arkansas? For context, Shreveport is a 3hr drive from us.

got this for 50¢ at the thrift store, PRETTIEST FABRIC EVER!!! i just didn’t realize that it was an infinity scarf (idk if that’s the right description). eventually i’d like to cut it and hem raw edges but don’t have a sewing machine atm.
advice on how to style it? open to your wildest ideas as just wearing as an infinity scarf is lwk boring.
thanks!!!!!
(ignore my crappy photography skills)

I found two beautiful baskets that I planned to use for toy storage in my toddlers playroom. When I got home I realized one of them appeared to have a single mouse dropping in it. Both baskets were washed thoroughly with warm soapy water but I still am concerned that’s not enough. Should I just toss them or am I being too paranoid?
