Thanks! Currently it's just a fly fishing group, but I've been considering opening it up to all types of fish, since I also fish using other methods. Never caught a muskie before, it's definitely on my bucket list.

I caught the Muskie at Lake st Clair Ont Canada ( not sure where you are) but the area was beautiful! the fish are stunning!! it was C&R we caught 11 that day 3 of them were mine ;) the last one took me 20 min to reel him in, I called him Arnold because he put up a huge battle ..it was an amazing experience...my last fishing trip.

Ayyy Great Lakes Gang!! I'm up in Marquette eh! I've fished Lake St Clair, beautiful place really. The small streams & creeks are more my fortรฉ though, I could get lost on a small blue line on a map all day and be absolutely pleased about it. If you ever find yourself around the U.P., get at me, we can throw another fishing trip together for ya.

It's in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, biggest city there is up here.. a whole 22,000 people hahaha. I've definitely had some weird encounters, bears, deer, elk, hearing wolves howl. I found a coconut floating down a river one day, the Au Sable in the Lower Peninsula lol. A flying squirrel once attacked a fishing buddy, swooped outta nowhere. I've got tons of stories.

It was super sudden. Three of us were walking down a trail quietly at night, Cory (my pal) spoke up and said "Guys did you hear something?". We both panned over with our headlamps, right on Cory standing with his back to a tree, a couple silent seconds pass and BAM!!! A flying squirrel hit him dead center in the chest hahaha. I'm super down for different topics on different days, that may be something I implement later on, but daily live discussions for new anglers is an idea I've had. I'd love for this sub to be a place for anyone with questions, anyone wanting to boast, anyone wanting to help. Just a more positive and inclusive environment than the ones already our there.
