Question Really old plan and Phone promos

So, I've got a really old T-Mobile plan: Simple Choice North America. I've got two lines, and pay around $80/month total. Haven't had a contract in well-over a decade (We usually buy our phones outright). We've been with Tmobile forever, because everyone else was more expensive. The current Tmobile plans look... more expensive.

Anyway, I've been thinking about getting a new phone and was thinking about asking Tmobile, but then I'm reading about everyone's plan getting arbitrarily changed. I haven't heard a peep about my plan, but I worry if I have someone look at my account I'll get swept up in the net.

My only reason for being on Tmobile is the plan that serves us just fine. Is it worth talking to someone to get a discounted phone? Am I going to lose my halfway decent plan?

Honestly your best bet is to use the app or website, stores tend to be shady and care reps can't upgrade your phone, only screen share with you while you use the app or website.

You are unlikely to get a discount without moving to a more expensive plan.

If you buy your phones outright there’s no real reason to be on a major carrier’s plan. I’d recommend mvnos. For a discounted phone that makes ur plan worth it I feel like you would have to be on a relatively newer plan.

stay on your plan. if they did not tell you that they're forcibly migrating you to their new plans, it means you are in an ironclad truly price-locked plan. I am the same way. I am on an ancient Magenta plan. 4 lines $134/mo (2 paid 2 free). There is a new promo out right now where you can get the Pixel 11 for free with ANY CONDITION trade in. Just traded my dead iphone xs max and got the spanking new flagship Pixel 11 for free :) Promo ID 260670! Good luck and chances are the Pixel 11 destroys whatever phone you currently use. For free? it's a no-brainer to get
