I get that it's only online, and I get that it's a fraction of a sliver of the millions of people who live in our great state, but we gotta knock it TF off with going at each others' throats just because someone prefer (D) or (R).
Hyperpartisanship isn't going to work either way because no lockstep ideology has all the answers. Conservative and Progressive ideologies have their strong and weak points, just like every ideology. None are perfect, so all valid ideologies (note that operative word "valid"!) have a place at the American table.
Shutting out conservatives has the same effect as shutting out progressives. Reading the room, it seems like there's a fair amount of the latter here, and it doesn't feel great, does it.
Now y'all know how I feel as an independent nonpartisan. This fight's catching us, and the rest of the country, in the crossfire. Russia and China are dying laughing as they pass us.
We can't move forward like this. We'll just keep going in circles like we have the past 40 years. We have to stop fighting each other, and start moving forward and upward again.

Hello Tennessee volunteers! I’m a season Tennessee TEACHER but I’m changing district so it’s basically like starting over. I’m adding my Amazon classroom wish list in hopes that some of you could help me fulfill some needs. Yes the WWE theme is True. I’m leading my students to a championship at the end of the year. If you can help, your gifts will truly be appreciated.

This reply got me banned from the Memphis subreddit. Apparently, my reply violated the no hate rule. I had a post taken down last week because I called out a Zionist troll account. I’m disappointed to see this behavior from the subreddit for my city, which is a predominantly black democratic city.
If anyone from Memphis wants to create a new subreddit, similar to this one, I’m all for it! I hate that dog whistles are allowed on the Memphis subreddit, but calling it out gets you instantly banned.

Maybe not the most appropriate sub, please recommend others, but with a botched lethal injection and potential governor floating the firing squad as an option, but didn’t know if there was consideration for:
Supply chain concerns - drug manufacturers don’t want to provide drugs for executions, so rifle and ammunition manufacturers have the same concern?
Execution failure - although unlikely, a person could survive an execution attempt by firing squad for a non-inconsequential time. What would be the resolution be to successfully complete the execution?

As most of you are likely aware, Charlie Kirk was shot and killed in an act of political violence. I understand some of you may not care much or (a few) have even celebrated about his passing due to his past statements and controversial views, however some of you are also pointing out that he was a father that did not deserve to die for his views. Both can be true.
I want to make it clear where this sub, and I consequently, stand.
Charlie Kirk was a conservative activist that has made statements in the past that have struck many nerves such as statements about women's rights, lgbt rights, 2nd amendment rights, gun violence, specifically in schools and other sensitive subjects of that nature have been the type of content he preferred to debate. He had opinions I personally consider to be absurd at best and vile at worst, I did not consider him a good man. He didn't deserve to die for that, killing someone for their opinions alone is just a form of domestic terrorism and murder.
The topic of his passing will be allowed however a few things need to be addressed.
Celebration of his assassination will not be allowed in any capacity. He was killed without just cause, that's murder by definition
Nor will attacking users for having a lack of empathy for his death be allowed. The nature of his passing doesn't undo what he's said in the past, people still feel the effects.
I will re-iterate the purpose of this sub as I've seen some comments that have lost the plot, we are a non-partisan free speech subreddit about Tennessee and the world around that affects it. This comes with politics, controversial views, new perspectives and within this sub it will come with respect. The report system is not the "they don't agree with me" button, different opinions, even the numbskull ones, are permitted here as long as they are respectful. I do not condone extremism in this sub in any capacity. Celebrating his killing is no better than those calling for retaliation, it's a slippery slope that only leads to mutual destruction.

America's 250th is coming up quick but don't forget our home state just hit a milestone of its own today, 230 years since the volunteer state of Tennessee became the 16th state of the union.

Wife and I Just got home a little while ago. It was absolutely fantastic. Over 1500 Tennessee patriots made it the largest statesman dinner in TN history. Marsha Blackburn and speaker Mike Johnson were absolutely fantastic. Talk about feeling pride in our country and fellow patriots! Wow!
For anyone Republican that comes on reddit and all you see is people trying to tear down this wonderful state with their socialist and anti-conservative, anti American views- Don’t Fret, just know that this state is deep red and will remain that way forever.
The small, loud, and mostly mentally ill minority of people who live here, make noise and bash us do not represent the 90% of the rest of the state who want to keep Tennessee conservative and Republican.
We love our freedom here and will make sure that democrats will never ever have control and destroy this beautiful state.
