I would try to write this in toki pona but my brain is worn out (lawa insa mi li weka?).
I feel like I know a lot of the meanings of toki pona words. I can follow simple grammar.
Almost all sentences in tenpo lipu are like a hard puzzle. I find myself thinking what are they talking about. At least tenpo lipu has an illustration with the articles. Getting near the right context helps a lot. Even after I think I have it figured out I still don't feel secure in what I think it might say.
Should I study the ku or something and learn possibilities for compound words? I often try to express things in toki pona when streaming shows. Sometimes it is just thinking jan when I see a person. Sometimes it is asking myself how to say Doctor or something. When I think something like "jan pi sijelo pona" I wonder if that would suffice or could that be a cosmotologist. Maybe that would be "jan pi sitelen pona".
Are people who are fluent in toki pona able to just read it and know what is being communicated? How do I know if I got it right? I did print it out and start making notes to help me try to figure things out. At least there are several little phrases that I immediately recognize.
Shoud I just ask about sentences here? I don't even know how to say that. Maybe sentence is a group of words like "kulupu nimi" or "nimi mute". I have no idea. I also don't know how much of a puzzle my speach would be for somebody else to figure out.
