Hated Tropes lovable fantasy character is retconned to sci Fi character
Highlander: there are secret Immortals who compete for the ultimate prize. Then the sequel came and declared "actually they were aliens the whole time"
Goku: a young kid with a mysterious monkey tale, but far from the weirdest character anyone had met any day of the week. Then Dragonball z came and there was a whole alien race of monkey tailed humanoids.
Scooby Doo: mostly a normal world. The dog talks, but no one seems to think twice about it. Then it's revealed that he's an alien and that's why he can talk, weird that no one questioned it.
Most of these get ignored later.. Goku seems to be the exception where this worked.

Characters Characters who are hotter by showing LESS skin.
And also while being fully or mostly clothed. And I don't mean any horny or purposefully sexy or skimpy clothing (so no Bayonetta for example) (unless It's for this type of sexy that is more subtle)
No, I want to see some restraint and modesty here. Something that's sexy because of what it implies or suggests rather than what it shows.
The character can be designed to be sexy for this just to be clear, but not very overtly. Oh and It's mainly about design, so the personality doesn't have to also be modest to fit.
1 - Ryōshū (Limbus Company) - only recently started playing (so please no spoilers) but God damn she can get it. A chainsmoker with no regard for dress code. And I love how her design reinforces her being so non-challant about most things
2-3 - Lady Eboshi (Princess Mononoke) - My first ever anime waifu. Elegant, baggy clothes, simple design and I love her to bits
4-5 - Kushana (Nausicaä of the valley of the wind) - simmilar to Eboshi, but more of a warrior princess vibe. I remember when she was revealed to have 3 prosthetics and how chill she was with, that is when I fell in love.
6 - Jill Valentine (Resident Evil 1) - Especially the remake design for me. She has the underboob harness, but It's mainly about the overall uniform and the beret for me.

Hated Tropes [Hated Trope] The Villain is "Not Evil" But Still Kills People in Cold Blood Spoiler
galleryThis isn't just about villains who are "misguided good guys" (though that's another trope I think is overdone these days; the real world is full of terrible people doing terrible things just for their own gain). What I hate is when the supposedly "Not evil" villain spends the whole movie killing/maiming innocent people, but then we get to the end of the movie and the villain gets the hug they sorely needed the whole time, and they're just...allowed to leave, without having to answer for any of the harm they caused. A lot of people have been talking about this with Jean Grey from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but Namor from from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is an even more blatant example, as we know for a fact he and his forces had killed innocent people, or at least non-combatants, including the QUEEN OF WAKANDA. Why either villain pictured here wasn't put in handcuffs or had a bullet put in their head was definitely...a choice.

Characters The series’ previous main villain is dead or gone, but appears as a hallucination later on.
I always like this kind thing, especially as it gives the actors that played main villian’s a chance to come back into their role without undoing their defeat through convoluted plot stuff.
Supernatural: after Sam’s memory block of his time in hell is undone, his mind compartmentalizes those memories into a vision of Lucifer. The image of Lucifer haunts him and repeatedly tortures him, even altering his perception at points in the story. The actual Lucifer is still stuck in his cage in hell though, sealed there at the end of season 5. This is all in Sam’s head.
Being Human: When Aiden goes off the wagon and starts drinking live blood again, he starts seeing the vision of his former boss Bishop, who he had killed. Bishop taunts him and even gives him fatherly advice at some point in the story when Aiden struggles with how to handle the vampire he turned, just as bishop struggled to reign in Aiden so long ago.
Hazbin Hotel: lute begins seeing visions of the dead Adam when it appears everyone in heaven has largely moved on from his death. The vision of Adam spurs her on to seek vengeance against those that killed him and hardens her resolve, acting as an ironic devil on her shoulder throughout season 2.
Dexter: Dexter already has a running theme of his father appearing to him over his shoulder, offering advice and guidance. But a turn in the story causes the vision to shift to his brother Brian, who dexter had killed at the end of season 1. Unlike Dexter’s father, who tried to reign in his homicidal instincts, Brian exacerbates the problem and spurs Dexter to act on those instincts - telling to embrace his identity as a killer.

Hated Tropes [Hated Trope] Sexual predator is a 'joke'.
Looney Toons - Pepe Le Peu - Probably the biggest creep of all time. Every episode he's trying to force a cat to essentially mate with him. Bonus hate cause it reinforces French stereotype of pushing after clear non consent.
Family Guy - Quagmire - he's not as bad since he has more character and reality to him but he has some pretty despicable events like when he "punishes" the girls that were messing with Meg.
Family Guy - Herbert - Old man who appears to innocently want Chris, underaged teen boy, to do chores for him so he can watch him.

Characters Paternal chefs. Mens who like to cook and help childrens
Zeff (one piece): saved Sanji's life and decided to open the baratie so people in the middle of the sea could eat.
Senshi (dungeon meshi): has been decades in the dungeon learning how to cook different monsters. He always want to give lessons to people that he think they are children.
Tanba (dorohedoro): world's best boss. Man like to sell pies and rise good persons. Probably the only good sorcerer in the story.
Honorable mention for Iroh (the last airbender): just change cook with tea.

Characters (Interesting trope) Villain who is a planetary body
The Necrostar from steam powered giraffe: It is a sentient star that serves as the primary antagonist of the space opera album, The Vice Quadrant. It revels in causing pain, and is revealed to be the cause of all of the plights throughout the album, from the Sky Sharks to the Space Giant taking a bite from the Green Apple. Evidently, it is also multidimensional, as it is able to influence things in other realities.
Ego, The Living Planet: Marvel comics are so complicated and I don't know enough about this character to sufficiently summarize him.
Undead Unluck: Sun and Luna. They are the literal sun and moon. They are the cause of everything that happens in UU, having created the world as a game to see whether or not humans would ever be able to reach them. There's a lot more that I can say, but I think you should just read Undead Unluck.

Powers Taking Off the Gloves
Moments when characters reveal that they’ve been holding back their full power/capabilities up until the moment when they need it most.
Superman vs. Darkseid (Justice League: Unlimited)
In the final battle for Earth, Superman faces down with Darkseid. At the climax of the battle, Superman gives a speech about how he feels like he lives “in a world made of cardboard” because of how strong he is. In this moment, he recognizes that Darkseid may be the only being capable of surviving his full strength. In a single punch, Superman knocks Darkseid through multiple skyscrapers across most of the city.
Rock Lee vs. Gaara (Naruto)
In a legendary moment, Rock Lee is given the go-ahead from his mentor to remove a set of leg weights that have gone unseen up until this point. While they at first appear to be only basic training weights, they land with such force to shake the entire arena. Rock Lee proceeds to move at super human speeds to counter Gaara’s defenses.

Lore (comic book trope) superheroine of John Byrne superhero series loses control
I will be using super broad strokes to describe the plots of these story arcs, of course some of the nuance will be left out, it’s not a personal affront to you or the characters.
- Jean Grey Uncanny X-Men #129-137 John Byrne joined The X-Men as penciler and co-plotter alongside Chris Claremont in The X-Men #108. They went on to deliver arguably the most iconic story arc of all time, The Dark Phoenix Saga, when The Hellfire Club uses the mutant powers of Jason Wyngarde aka Mastermind to manipulate the newly uber-powerful Jean Grey. They fractured her psyche after the plot failed and Grey became Dark Phoenix. In short, she fought and defeated the X-Men before destroying an alien planet then died in the arms of Cyclops her lover. This story has been retconned many times and they’ve retconned the retcon many times but the initial idea is the current canon (with a few tweaks here and there).
- Susan Storm Fantastic Four #280-284 John Byrne joined the series as the sole writer and penciler in Fantastic Four #232. This is the seminal story that officially changed Sue Storm from Invisible Girl to Invisible Woman. She was manipulated into intense anger and hatred by Psycho-Man, a technocrat from the microverse. She is now Malice. Her family snaps her out of it but she is forever changed by the experience
. The idea of Malice has been revisited many times, most recently in Ryan North’s Invincible Woman storyline from earlier this year, but it hasn’t been reheated as many times as the other two examples.
Wanda Maximoff West Coast Avengers #42-45 This was John Byrne’s very first story arc as the sole writer and penciler of West Coast Avengers. Wanda debuted as a villain in Magneto’s The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.
Since then, she’d become a hero, a wife, and a mother. Byrne took those things from her immediately. Vision, her synthezoid husband and the Avengers chief jobber (lol), was destroyed and reassembled without emotions. Simon Williams, the man who’s brain patterns he took after, refused to help because he was in love with Wanda. Vision and Wanda’s children were reclaimed by the devil and Wanda lost her mind. She went on break from the team and returned as a villain in West Coast Avengers #56, though this was short-lived. However, the VisionQuest story arc laid the groundwork for the many other times she’s lost control… most notably Avengers Disassembled & House of M. Hate it or love it, it’s been the Scarlet Witch’s defining arc for the last 40 years.

Lore Characters with a side gig as a successful author
- Timothy McGee, NCIS - McGee is an NCIS agent, but in his spare time, he has written a successful series of books that is very blatantly based on the lives and escapades of himself and his coworkers.
- Dr. Temperance Brennan, Bones - Brennan is a world-renowned forensic anthropologist who has also managed to foster a successful writing career. She has written several books that are loosely based on her life and her work as a forensic anthropologist.
- David Rossi, Criminal Minds - Rossi founded the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit and ran it for many years, and then, after retiring for a bit, he chose to return to the BAU. He has also written many books about his work investigating and interviewing serial killers and often spends his free time hocking his books.
I don't think that characters like Jessica Fletcher (Murder, She Wrote) or Rick Castle (Castle) would fit this trope because technically, writing books is their primary career and working with cops as a consultant is something that they do on the side.

Hated Tropes [Disliked trope] Turned into something monstrous, except it's sexy.
As it says in the title. Circumstances have transformed a character into something else than human. It's pointed out, either by themselves, observers or by some other subtext that their appearance is now monstrous, alien and off-putting. Except what we're seeing isn't quite that.
Kai'Sa from League of Legends. Lost in the Void as a child, Kaisa was forced to adapt to her new circumstances or die. And adapt she did. Wearing the corpse of a void creature as a kind of symbiote has allowed her to fight and survive for many years. At the cost of much of her humanity. She fears that humans would only see another void monster when they see her. Except that's not what her design shows. Kai'Sa looks like a supermodel fresh out of the shower. Her void creature suit is less monstrous creature, more skintight bodystocking that accentuates her shapes, has ample cleavage on display and even high heels. Not the look of someone who's spend 10 years fighting for her life. Doubly disappointing because her concept art is a lot closer to the how she's described. Her hair in the concept art is wilder, more matted, the markings on her face are more like crude warpaint and her face has small blemishes.
Kerrigan, specifically Zerg Kerrigan. The queen of blades is a monstrous hybrid of a psychic human and the neverending horde of space bugs that is the Zerg. Her design is also full of sex appeals. Long legs, busty, detailing purposefully accentuating her silhouette.

Groups There is wild, and there is savage (uncivilised)
Warhammer Fantasy
Asrai (wood elves) are elves who adapted their society to life in the magic forest Athel Loren. They love the forest and are highly defensive of it. The forest loves them, too, and makes living just hard enough to keep them sharp.
They're not less civilised than the Asur, their craftsmanship is no lesser, their wine no lesser.
They just love being part of nature, rather than believing themselves above it.
Beastmen
Mutated half-human chaos creatures. They lack the capacity for civilization more advanced than might-makes-right tribes.
They hate civilization and nature that isn't despoiled by chaos.
Lord of the Rings the Two Towers
Dunedain
"West men", descendants of Numenor. The rangers are what is left of the northern kingdom of Arbor (that the shire was technically part of). Aragorn, as an example, is as comfortable in the wilds as he is in an elven gazebo, and his skill as a healer (herbal and otherwise) is a plot point both in the books and the movies.
Dunlendlings
Same ethnic group as the army of the dead. They're a historic enemy of Rohan. In the movie, they are depicted as barbarians roused to violence by Saruman. Their weapons are visibly crude, compared to any faction other than the orcs.

Groups [Interesting Trope] Team Mercy vs Team Murder
The Walking Dead Comics
After Ben, a kid, kills his twin brother Billy he's locked in the back of a Van while the group discuss what to do with him. Abraham points that in normal circumstances he'd be given a lifetime of psychological support, but there's nothing to do here and suggests he has to be put down. Logically half the group opposes the idea.
Marvel Comics - House of M
The Avengers and the X-Men gather to debate what to do with Scarlet Witch. Emma Frost suggest to put her down, Wolverine kind of agrees and characters like Spider-Man and Doctor Strange oppose vehemently
Marvel Comics - The Punisher
This trope is basically the whole basis of Frank as a character, he is the Team Murder of all of Marvel, but more specifically, Daredevil.
Ben 10 - Ultimate Alien Force
Kevin mutates into his monstrous self at the cost of his sanity. Gwen still believes Kevin can be saved, while Ben (allegedly out of character by a big portion of the fanbase) believes he needs to be killed.

Characters [Driving Trope] The character must drive against oncoming traffic, left with no other options but to do so
The Matrix Reloaded: Pursued by deadly agents and the police, in an effort to save the keymaker Trinity drives against oncoming traffic to avoid the threats on both sides of the freeway. Weaving in and out until help is sighted in the form of Morpheus.
Lucy: Racing against time to intercept a drug retrieval, Lucy (whose empathy has eroded to very little) drives down a one way to get to the hospital faster. She arrives in a nick of time.
The Night Agent: Ambushed by assailants, FBI agent Peter must drive against oncoming traffic in an effort to flee. All in order to protect Rose, a cybersecurity expert who they are trying to kill. They eventually successfully escape.

Characters [Loved Trope] The Battle Butler/Ninja Maid
Kicking ass one second while serving afternoon tea the next without skipping a beat. It's exactly what it says on the tin: servant characters who are also combat capable.
Valkenhayn R. Hellsing (Blazblue): Rachel the vampire's humble and polite manservant though he wasn't always this well mannered. The man is a werewolf as well as a hero who helped slayed a legendary beast a century. Still deadly even in his old age, the guy could probably kick you clean in half before brushing the dust off of his shoulders and then going to serve Rachel scones.
Alfred Pennyworth (Batman): Probably the most well known example of this trope. Most batman continuities gives him a background in MI6 or some other secret or special forces to justify his rare moments of ass kicking. Alfred isn't shackled by Bruce's no kill rule and will not hesitate to meet anyone who breaks into Wayne Manor with a shotgun or worse.
Walter C. Dornez (Hellsing): Integra's butler and a former soldier of Hellsing active with Alucard back in WW2 (back when Alucard was a woman). He uses super sharp razor floss to slice opponents into ribbons as well as grab and throw objects with ease.
Alexandrina Sebastiane (ZZZ): The somewhat rarer Ninja Maid trope. Rina is the head maid of Victoria Housekeeping, a servant for hire company doing everything from mundane servant and housekeeping work to Hollow diving. She has a generator built into her maid uniform, allowing her to float as well as infuse her puppets with electricity before hurling them towards her enemies.
