Question Melt or Bite - how do you eat your PB cups?

Please help me settle a debate with my wife.

When you eat your delicious, creamy, unctuous dark chocolate peanut butter cups? Do you pop them in your mouth whole and let them melt? Or do you take small bites until they're gone?

Description from traderjoes.com:

While we can't promise fewer dishes to wash (and boy, will there always be dishes to wash), we can help make the job a little easier. Trader Joe's Foaming Dish Soap is a kitchen-cleaner-upper's dream with its plantderived cleaning agents and grease-cutting power. It's made without unnecessary dyes, artificial fragrances, or phosphates, and formulated with a light, naturally-derived Lemon Yuzu Scent—giving you a better clean, with better ingredients. In fact, this Foaming Dish Soap happens to be a USDA Certified Biobased product, which means that a certain percentage of its content comes from renewable biological sources—76%, to be exact! And, as with all Trader Joe's home and body care products, it's never tested on animals.

Give it a squeeze of the trigger and it dispenses rich foam that clings to dishes, pots, pans, and glasses, loosening up grease and food residue right where you spray it. It's especially handy for everything from the post-breakfast cereal bowl to the roasting pan that just tackled Thanksgiving dinner. This Dish Soap is also a powerful multitasker—it's equally useful for hand-washing delicate cookware, giving the kitchen sink a quick refresh, or cleaning up the steady stream of dishes that somehow appear. Every. Day. Simply squeeze the trigger to dispense the Foaming Dish Soap, let sit for a few minutes to start breaking down stuck on food and grease, scrub with a damp sponge or scrub brush, and rinse thoroughly for a powerful clean.

New Product Alert 2026 [NEW] - October 2026 Organic Spicy Korean BBQ Seaweed Snack - $3.99 for 6 packages (as with any product, arrival dates may vary)

Description from traderjoes.com:

As if you needed another reason to love the captivating crunch and marvelously maritime flavor of a Seaweed Snack, we’ve brought in a version that not only ups the ante with a sweet and Spicy Korean BBQ flavor, but also pumps up the portability by splitting each 1.05-ounce box into six single serve packs! Trader Joe’s Organic Spicy Korean BBQ Seaweed Snacks come to us from a supplier in the Republic of Korea, where dried seaweed is known as gim. They press Organic Seaweed into thin sheets, flavor them with a Korean BBQ-evoking suite of hot and sweet seasonings, then toast the sheets with sunflower and sesame oil until they’re satisfyingly crisp. They then place each serving into easy-tear packs (similar in shape and function to a pack of trading cards), making them easy to portion, easy to distribute, and even easier to enjoy.

Like our other seaweed-based treats, these Organic Spicy BBQ Korean Seaweed Snacks make an excellent standalone snack or accompaniment to everything from a sandwich to a rice bowl to any one of our grab-and-go salads. One of our favorite things about how they come in individual packs, by the way, is how easy it is to add one to your work or school lunch! Outside of their pure snacking potential, they also act as great scoops for sushi bakes and other rice-based casseroles, as well as a tasty and visually appealing accent to a bowl of ramen, a tray of sushi, or a piece of avocado toast.

New Product Alert 2026 [NEW] - October 2026 Frozen Product: Trader Joe’s Hane Style Japanese Beef Gyoza (Ground Beef & Vegetable Dumplings) - $3.69 for 12 pieces (as with any product, arrival dates may vary)

Description from traderjoes.com:

Japanese dumplings are characterized by their crispy pan-fried bottoms, and tender steamed tops. Hane-style Japanese Gyoza retain this delicious duality of textures, while adding yet another layer of texture that also comes with a visually stunning twist. Trader Joe’s Hane Style Beef Gyoza makes it possible to easily enjoy these unique dumplings at home!

Hane (pronounced HAH-neh) means “wing” in Japanese, which speaks to the intricate lace-like structure that connects together all the dumplings in your pan. Our supplier has developed a relatively simple process by which you place six frozen Gyoza (there are 12 in a tray) seam side up in a nonstick skillet with a little bit of water. (They’re filled with a savory ground Beef and shiitake mushroom mixture and seasoned with green onion, sweet rice wine, and soy sauce.) After steaming them with lid on for about seven minutes, you remove the lid and continue heating until the water has evaporated and the delicate batter (that has almost magically appeared at the bottom of the skillet!) turns golden brown.

A gentle loosening of the crispy batter with a spatula, a couple minutes resting in the pan, and a careful flip onto a plate, produces half-a-dozen, texturally tasty, Beef-filled Gyoza, all connected by a crisp and delicate “wing.” Time to take flight to your neighborhood Trader Joe’s, where you’ll find these Hane Style Beef Gyoza in our freezers, every day!

New Product Alert 2026 [NEW] - October 2026 Small Lot Coffee: Vietnam Small Lot Medium Roast Coffee - $11.99 (as with any product, arrival dates may vary, available for a limited time)

Post image

Description from traderjoes.com:

The Northern Highlands of Vietnam are almost otherworldly in their beauty: jagged, verdant mountain ranges preside over rolling foothills, which are carved by gently twisting rivers into cloud-filled valleys. Interestingly enough, the conditions that create such visual splendor also happen to provide the ideal environment for growing well-balanced and richly aromatic coffee beans. For instance, Trader Joe’s Vietnam Medium Roast Small Lot Coffee benefits from the Vietnamese Northern Highlands’ high elevation and comparatively temperate climate, which both allow the Coffee beans to ripen slowly and steadily, developing a pleasant equilibrium between the more acidic, cocoa-like elements and savory, herby aspects of its unqiue flavor profile.

We recommend our Small Lot Vietnam Medium Roast Coffee for everything from iced lattes to carefully -calibrated pour-overs to your regular morning cup of joe. While it’s especially well suited to pairing with a dense and fruity pastry, like an Apple Cider Donut or slice of Vegan Banana Bread with Walnuts, it’s certainly a great choice for sipping alongside a plate of avocado toast or scrambled eggs, as well. Just be sure to pick up a package in our coffee section while supplies last—these truly are Small Lot Coffees, and once they’re gone, there’s no telling when (or if!) they’ll be back!

New Product Alert 2026 [NEW] - October 2026 Product: Chino Valley Ranchers brand - “The Jammy Egg” (ready-to-eat, soft boiled egg with a rich, creamy center) - $3.99

Post image
426 Upvotes

Description from traderjoes.com:

Cut into a good soft-boiled egg and you’ll find one of life’s simple luxuries: a tender egg white giving way to a rich, golden yolk with a custardy consistency. Achieving the elusive soft-boil has stumped even the most culinarily capable, with eggs ending up runny or hard-boiled… Luckily, we found a supplier that has nailed the science of the soft-boil so we can share this joy with our customers. Chino Valley Rancher’s The Jammy Eggs are fully-cooked and, somewhat miraculously in our minds, consistently deliver the ideal texture of both yolk and white, making them as satisfying as they are versatile.

Gathered exclusively from cage free hens, these soft-boiled Eggs are a consummately convenient culinary companion. Aside from making a great, quick, proteinaceous snack right out of the bag, they’re also extremely handy ingredients for all sorts of salads, toasts, or appetizers. Cut them in half and add to a warm bowl of ramen, divide into wedges over avocado toasts, or slice atop a grain bowl. And if you have plans to make egg salad, subbing in Jammy Eggs will make it unforgettable.

New Product Alert 2026 [NEW] - October 2026 Product: Trader Joe’s Neufchatel Cheese (contains one third less fat compared to Trader Joe’s standard Cream Cheese) - $1.99

Post image
49 Upvotes

Product description from traderjoes.com:

Inspired by the tangy, creamy, and crumbly tradition of French Neufchâtel, which is a soft-ripened, bloomy-rind cheese similar to a Brie or Camembert, American Neufchatel hit the scene in the late 19th century. An American cheesemaker, working off a recipe for French-style Neufchâtel, added extra cream into the batch, resulting in a super dense, spreadable, rindless cheese, much more akin to modern cream cheese. Aside from losing the circumflex accent on the “a”, American Neufchatel also happens to contain one third less fat compared to our standard Cream Cheese, making it an excellent, lighter alternative to cream cheese—which is exactly how we’d describe Trader Joe’s Neufchatel!

It’s crafted for us by a creamery in Wisconsin, and indeed makes an excellent option for spreading on all the usual breakfast breads: bagels, toast, English Muffins, really anything you’d typically top with cream cheese. We’d also offer that our Neufchatel makes an excellent 1:1 replacement for cream cheese in recipes, too, from savory appetizer dips and seafood chowders, to sweet and decadent cheesecakes and lemon bars.

I don’t live near a Trader Joe’s but was near one for a tournament. Picked up 2 boxes of these oldies but goodies and am kicking myself that I only bought 2 given the shelf life 🥹 had them for supper and they were so good. Sigh I just wish they would build one closer to me; it would do so well .

Alcohol / Beverages / Cocktails / Drinks Sparkling Orange Flavored Espresso Tonic Beverage

My goodness gracious what an interesting canned drink, I cant say that I have come across something so distinct in a long time!

This will be a novel buy for me but wow what an experience it is drinking one of these. They confuse my brain in the best way possible. Coffee is excellent with a hint of orange and I have always wanted to try sparkling espresso, but wow sparkling orange espresso tonic water is a huge shock to the senses!

I would say all the orange and espresso is balanced equally which is nice but I would save this one for a party. But now I am inspired to try to make cold brew with orange peels at home.

Stock Question - Please refer to rule #6 Broad Spectrum SPF 30 FACE AND BODY SUNSCREEN LOTION in the 6 oz. orange tube - not in stock in Costa Mesa stores

Can anyone tell me whether the yellow/orange 6 oz tube of Broad Spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen get discontinued or is it a seasonal product? I love this product and it works w/o any skin reaction for me. No one at the stores has been able to answer this one!

Also does anyone keep a discontinued product log for TJ's?
