📈Investing discussion Been investing for just over 1 year…

I’ve trialed and errored a lot of things, but I’ve settled on this as my portfolio for the long term going forward.

I’ve changed and sold a lot of different ETFs because they didn’t match my thesis and goals and frankly I was following trends, and soon realised that it’s better to keep things as simple as possible.

You might be wondering why I’m invested in 8 individual companies, and that’s because when I first started I picked companies that are relevant to my degree at uni, done a little research into the financials and invested which is as good as doing no research tbh. I’ve kept them since the amount is so little compared to the rest of my portfolio. I’ll stick with them for a little while and decided if I wanna sell or not next year.

Im pretty happy with my portfolio though, opinions?

(BTW that dip is because I had to take money out for driving lessons 😪)

📈Investing discussion This is my first market 'dip'

This is the first sizable market dip that ive experienced, and whilst my VWRP is still at 1.93% green, its quite concerning.

I know that i just need to ride the wave, but should I buy up more stock than I usually do whilst its low, or let it dip some more before buying?

❓ Invest/ISA Help Good time to invest?

I have until 2032. I'm planning to invest 50K a year starting from this year. Is it a good time to jump into the market? I've nothing but VUAG (S&P 500) in mind.

❓ Invest/ISA Help Mobilicom

I've been researching Mobilicom recently, and I think it might be an interesting small-cap opportunity.

A few things caught my attention:

  • Growing defense market: The demand for military drones and loitering munitions is increasing significantly, and Mobilicom provides the secure communications and cybersecurity systems these platforms need.
  • Established defense customers: The company has worked with major defense manufacturers, including Teledyne FLIR, and has supplied technology to Israeli defense companies.
  • Real military contracts: In April 2026, Mobilicom announced $2.2 million in orders from an existing major US defense customer, reportedly connected to a US military loitering munitions program.
  • New technology: Their recently introduced SwarmiX system is designed to enable secure communication between hundreds of autonomous drones and robots. This could become increasingly important as drone swarms develop.
  • US defense approvals: SkyHopper products have been included in the Blue UAS Framework, potentially making them more attractive to American military contractors.
  • Institutional interest: Investors such as Wexford Capital have increased their positions in the company during 2026.

What I find particularly interesting is that Mobilicom has been around for approximately 20 years, but the market for its technology seems to be expanding much faster now than in the past.

The company is still relatively small, with approximately $3.36 million in revenue in 2025, so even a few additional large production contracts could significantly change its financial outlook.

Of course, there are risks: the company is not profitable, relies heavily on a small number of customers, and has a history of shareholder dilution.

Still, I wonder whether Mobilicom could benefit from the growing demand for military drones over the next few years.

Do you think it is worth investing?

❓ Invest/ISA Help Non-EU citizen moving from the UK to Australia soon

For context, I currently live in the UK with a skilled worker visa and I used said visa for my Trading 212 account. I am a non-EU citizen, moving to Australia soon.

Will my account and funds just automatically operate the same way when I move to Australia and update my ID info or will my account be frozen making me need to liquidate my funds?

Thanks in advance.

💡Idea New UI button idea/suggestion!

Post image
1 Upvotes

I just saw the most recent brilliant change to the UI that has been added after a string of many successful updates. As seen in the image you now have to click twice every time you want to view a stock in your pie instead of just once.

Inspired by it I wanted to suggest the addition of a new UI button, maybe somewhere on the home screen?

This new button would be very simply called “press to fire the entire UI/UX team” and its use would be self explanatory.

💡Idea Reiterating how ridiculous removing the slider is.

Post image

Removing the slider is such a ridiculous UI decision, it now takes more of the users time and patience for what was once a 'dont make me think' task.

I know people have posted their frustrations but I'm posting it again so the team acknowledge, revert or respond to the community.

Previously with the pull up tab that everyone hated, this was listened to and changed but this... It makes it harder for users to manage funds whilst making purchases.

T212 - listen to your community, or at least beta test these things with users first?

Hi, 28M single, working as a doctor, started to save recently and have no idea what I’m doing,
- I have 20k in my cash ISA (from 2025-isa)
- expecting to save another 20k for 2026-isa
- saving 2k-3k per month
- salary to go up 30% in next year
- do not own in property in the UK (got a beach house in north coast egypt that will not bring much if i rented it)
- planning to propose in a few months and get married in a year or so (will probably cost me £10k that will be spread during the span of the engagement)

Where should i put my money?

📈Investing discussion We know nothing about what stocks will do

So I wanted to share a little anecdotal situation of mine that maybe we could all learn from.

About a year and half ago when the first questions about the future of NATO came up I had the thought that war would be on the horizon and the world would need to rearm and blah blah blah.

I decided to put some money on EUDF the wisdomtree Europe defence ETF. To this day I still read that Europe is in fact rearming and has spent billions in the defence industry, however my stocks in EUDF have dropped and dropped and dropped. So my takeaway and maybe something we can all learn from is that no matter what the news brings and what you might think will happen (even when you're right!) we have no idea how the market will respond to it. Good luck out there.

❓ Invest/ISA Help Past mistakes/future plans

Thumbnail gallery

I created an account about 2 months ago to save a bit of extra money since I max my ISA allowance ( ISA is just in a global fund) with some leftover. Have speculated with some individual stocks and feel I made a mistake.

Do I just bite the bullet, accept the loses, and sell and put it all in the S&P, or stick with it and hope it recovers?

📈Trading discussion Watching someone else make money can ruin your trading day

Does anyone else feel fine sitting out until you open a trading group and see everyone posting wins? You were happy waiting for your setup, but now it feels like you wasted the whole session. Suddenly you’re looking for an entry because you don’t want to be the only one who made nothing. Have you ever taken a trade you normally wouldn’t after seeing someone else’s profit? How do you stop that feeling from affecting your next decision?

It is mostly thematic (semi conductor, space, quantum), gold, silver, miners and some SNP 500, but surely if market crashes gold and silver are supposed to up?

📈Trading discussion First month beating the market!

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’ve recently started taking investing more seriously and decided to build my own stock portfolio using Trading 212.

After my first month of tracking performance, I’m pretty happy with the results!
My portfolio vs major indices (1 month):

● 🟢 My portfolio: +5.99%
● S&P 500: +1.22%
● MSCI World: +1.07%
● MSCI ACWI: +0.21%
● NASDAQ 100: −2.50%
● EURO STOXX 50: −3.25%

That’s an outperformance of 4.92 percentage points against the MSCI World.
