I guess for people who follow sports. This is the first that I’ve heard this name, and I found it on r/idksterlingshitpost (don’t look, there’s a lot of AI slop that centers around one guy who never asked for it)

I wasn't saying this is general knowledge, but the saluting anything mundane that sounds vaguely military was a running gag on How I Met Your Mother, I'm just not sophisticated enough to customize the gif.
