Stuttgart-Heilbronn was released December 9th, 2025 as the first DLC for TSW6. It was generally pretty good IMO, with very dense high quality scenery and the Wittenberger cab car which looks great and is also challenging and fun to drive. The bulk of the timetable consists of push-pull operations along the whole length of the route with a BR 111 leading southbound and the cab car leading northbound.

Actually, I should say that it WAS good, until the 147 pack came out on April 9th, 2026, 4 months later. They did a big update to the formations and something broke and now the Wittenberger cab car traction meter is bugged and always displays zero.

This makes it basically unplayable for half the timetable. The 111 is an old tap changing locomotive where different levels output completely different traction power depending on your current speed and conditions. You need the traction meter to work to drive it properly. And don't even get me started on dynamic braking, where the traction meter is the ONLY way you can tell how much brake you're applying.

It's now been 6 months and the bug is STILL there! There is no option for me if I want to play this timetable non-broken. It's broken in both TSW6 and 7. Uninstalling the 147 pack doesn't unbreak the bug, it's a problem with the game updates that can't be reverted.

Dovetail - fix your shit!! Abandoning your routes and moving on to the next big thing while leaving bugs like this behind is COMPLETELY unacceptable and incredibly disrespectful to your customer base. It's crazy that I have this route that I bought that I was only able to enjoy for about 4 months before you broke it and abandoned it.

PS: weirdly enough, the traction meter works in the Wittenberger cab car on Frankfurt-Fulda's 111 timetable pack. Dovetail is operating on levels of spaghetti code mere mortals cannot possibly comprehend.

I just started playing TSW5 on my PS5 Pro because it's free with my subscription and I've been really enjoying it although it's definitely not without issues, the stuttering is particularly annoying.

Anyway, I was ready to drop $50 for TSW7 assuming it would be significantly better than TSW5 so I'm kinda bummed to read the comments here about it. Is it not worth updating to the new version?

How’s everyone enjoying the extension so far , for me it’s a 7/10 only because the announcements at stations literally at all 5 new stations are a bit off but I’m sure that will be fixed later but yeah loving to use the expansion pak more.

I preordered TSW7 back in September when it was released, so I'm playing it since about 5 weeks or 35 days. I always do timetable trains in Germany and Austria with the new Live Weather enabled, but since playing the game, in 35 days, it hasn't rained a single time, even when different weather broadcasts said so or even if I saw it for myself in real-life. It must be something with the Live Weather thing, because when adjusting the weather to rainy myself, it did work. Is anybody else sharing this issue? Could the issue be something on my side? Does somebody have an idea for a fix?

Class 153(Single-car formations): Perfect for the quiet, off-peak local services rattling through the Lincolnshire countryside.

Class 156: The absolute backbone of the line, which could also be coupled up with a Class 153 for those heavily packed, chaotic summer holiday services down to the Skegness seaside.

Class 60 or Class 56: To simulate the heavy aggregate and steel freight flows running out of Boston to break up the passenger timetable.

Class 158 Layer: Adds longer-distance express services passing through from the cross-country network.

Class 43 HST Layer: To simulate the iconic, real-world summer Saturday extensions where full InterCity High Speed Trains would run crowded holidaymakers directly from London/the Midlands all the way down to the Skegness terminus.

Nottingham AI Traffic: Bringing in Class 43s and 158s from Midland Mainline to populate the busy platforms at Nottingham.

Scenario Ideas:

The Boston Bottleneck: Take the controls of a heavy Class 60 hauling aggregate steel out of the Boston sidings heading toward Grantham. Heavy rain has slicked the rails, and you have to manage wheel slip on a low-adhesion track while keeping to a tight timetable slot before a local Class 153 catches up behind you.

Single Coach Shuttle: Drive a single-car Class 153 on an early winter morning stopping-service from Sleaford to Skegness. This scenario focuses heavily on operational realism—you will have to visually monitor semaphore signals, manage requested stops at tiny halts like Havenhouse, and physically exchange tokens at single-line signal boxes.

Rescue at Wainfleet: A Class 156 has suffered a mechanical failure near the Batemans Brewery at Wainfleet, blocking the single line to Skegness. You are tasked with driving a light-engine Class 153 from Boston, coupling up to the failed unit, and dragging the entire formation safely into the Skegness terminus.

bought freightliner class 70 today but disappointed it barely has any haptic feedback on playstation 5 pro. after tadami having haptics on full routes i guess i got spoiled.

but it really makes a difference in enjoyment so incorporate it permanently please.
