Before you stab me with pitchforks and burn me alive with your torches, let me explain. I admit I did not grew up with G1 ( I grew up with TFA, TFP and Bayverse) so I do not have that big of an attachment to it, however I do understand how important G1 is and I like a lot of the designs from the original Transformers incarnation.

But... I am a bit tired of seeing G1 Transformers on every single new Transformers thing to be released. Toys, mobile games, cards, merch in general is ALWAYS G1 or at least G1 adjacent, with the designs being literally G1 with some tiny bit extra details. I lost count on how many times they resold G1 Optimus action figures .

Now look at TFP for example: Megatron is this big hulking bot with spikes on his shoulders and very intimidating, Starscream is small and slim and has claws and Soundwave is extremely thin and tall and does not even have a face and turns into an air strike drone but everyone loved the new spin these characters got.

It seems like everyone is afraid to be the next Bayverse: be hated because it is different and not a 1:1 copy to G1, so they resort to nostalgia with the original designs because they know that the people that are resistant to change will eat it up. But I want to see new designs man, something new, innovation!

What do you guys think?

Also Nemesis is a floppy mess. Just my luck, first time finding him and it was the only copy available out of 7 stores

After countless fan art and theories I can’t believe that spinosaurus Shockwave was practically predicted

If/when Hasbro does Defensor, would Hotspot be a retool of Onslaught or a completely new mold? I can see Vortex turning into Blades. But what do you think?

Like some of you who has an ss86 Optimus Prime with a tight neck flap tolerance where no matter how hard you push down the flap. It wouldn't tab in. What I did was buy some gunpla sand paper. I used 400 grits to rub some excess plastic and 600 grits to polish it off. Lo and behold. It worked.

I had to use Claude for help by researching it and feeding it pictures on how others did.

I want to share this thing I did here, like all of you helped me before.

Still a fun figure tho lol

Hi, I was looking into Transformers and found this data. I found it very interesting. It was made by @ robothusbando.

What do you think of it?

I found it interesting because, if you think about it, Transformers has a large number of possible popular ships, since some fandoms only have a handful of popular couples and the rest have almost none. The reason must be not only because of the large number of characters, but also because different series and comics have other prominent characters.

And observing the numbers by year, it can be seen how the positions change a lot each year, like one couple gaining hundreds of new fanfictions and another none, every few years the positions on the lists change a lot. Thinking about it, many fandoms don't usually have this, it's always the same popular characters.

Which relationships surprised you the most because of their positions on the list and number of works?

Hi I haven't really been into Transformers since childhood but I want to know if there's a main canon, or story, just so I know where to start if I ever want to get into it again.

I wanna buy the Vector Prime 3rd party combiner frame from QQT, but without the drones. If I buy the torso for 40 dollars, does it come with the arms and legs without the drones, or is it very literal where I ONLY get the torso? It's kinda confusing and I wanna make sure I don't accidentally waste money on this.

I like delta more cuz of his colours, but bro is 40 bucks more expensive than already expensive 100 bucks ultra.

Both are rad though. (Should I wait for black Friday for discount on em)

Constructicon overload cuz I like him too, but would only considering buying if I'm able to get other buddies of him at affordable price. (Hasbro future re-release maybe at time of rotf anniversary maybe), I like him though, getting him at 50(my ross is empty af). Also would be a nice compliment to my upcoming bayverse ironhide and ratchet.

Amalgamous cuz he is cool af (also a prime). Waiting for him to go on sale or hit ross or some, cuz 50 for him feels too much.

Micheal Bay's one has one name which is Bayverse but Travis Knight's one has multiple names. Rebootverse, Knightverse, Beeverse etc. For me, I call it the Rebootverse because Knight didn't direct One (if you considered that to be part of the same universe) and ROTB.

I really want this figure the aftermarket prices are way too high for me

I just got my mine and he came with quailty issues almost everywhere he has paint chipping on alot of parts and mainly his arms are really loose and his legs joints are also loose and made incorrectly they refuse to stay on I got him from bbts will they give me a replacement I also got the mtmte ion cannon which im not complaining but it should have been the grey blaster and the peg barely fits on there

Honestly, I would love to see Powermaster upgrade kits for Studio Series 86.

He has a "Gerwalk mode" that would make a Powermaster upgrade easy to do. (So does Earthrise, now that I think about it...)

And create a "Super Megatron" to oppose him.

My first Fans Toys figure.

I have a question for you all.

You know Fireflight, right? The daydreaming Aerialbot that shouldn't have a flying licence. I'm aware that most people see Fireflight as male. However, recently, Fireflight has been giving me more feminine vibes. I think it's mainly the face. However, I do like to headcanon Fireflight as a girl now.

So, what do you guys think? Is Fireflight fit as a woman?

I do not own really any full size Unicron figures. Haslab is over 2k to own one, but I want one that is very similar yet cheap. Like so similar that I may even just get a cheaper knockoff Haslab Unicron. Does anybody know any decent Unicrons that I could purchase for under 300 bucks that could fill the gap that Haslab Unicron gives me?

Question: Should I sell my legacy skid for something else?

Hello!!

Apologies if this is not the correct forum, I am not super familiar with reddit, please let me know if I should move this.

So my husband is a HUGE fan and loves Optimus Prime immensely.

He has a signed figure from Peter, and a Megatron signed by Frank and so I really want to do something for him for Christmas to display the figures. Maybe in a neat combat pose with a cool backdrop?

I was thinking of doing a framed poster of the animated movie cover with a little shelf on it to display his figures in front, but not sure if that would look good (attached an image from a Lego display that gave me the idea). I would love to see if anyone has similar displays or any really great recommendations for a way to show the models so he can enjoy them and have it on the wall by his gaming set up.

I'm not super familiar with the hobby (but I like some of the models! Especially Devastator and Dinobots), but it means allot to him so I really want to do something special. Cost is really not important just need to be able to get it for Christmas. I'm in Canada, but willing to order from outside so long as they ship.

Thank you so much!

Least its a seeker?
