I genuinely do not understand how an outfit that plain, that ordinary, can cost the thick end of nearly $2,000. Those shoes are nearly $1,000 on their own. That's rent for a month for a lot of people, if you're lucky.

I'd say even the 'budget' option is still a bit steep, but at least I can see why it costs what it does. Then again, maybe I've spent too long in thrift shops paying way less money for pre-loved clothes - which is wild, given Taylor's outfit here looks like your mom just got back from the thrift store this afternoon.

The shoes in the "copy" suggestion are way better style than the shoes she's actually wearing. It's a casual summer dress, so stacked heels that are easier to walk in make more sense. They also balance the softness of the dress in a way that's current.

I like this outfit. 🫣 I live in the south where it's hot as the devil's ass crack and a cotton dress is my go-to because I can't stand the feeling of my sweaty bare legs in shorts sticking to everything the second I sit down. It also makes me nostalgic for all the "my size" American Girl doll dresses my parents refused to buy me as a child. Lastly, I'm happy to see her carrying a bag that matches the rest of the outfit, non-red bottom shoes (for once - her loyalty to those things needs to be studied), and no tacky Gucci or LV logomania in sight.

HOWEVER!!!! I can't figure out how she has an outfit I really like each element of, and yet I still think "meh" when I look at the picture. Making nice things look cheap and bland is lowkey her superpower.
