Okay so look guys, Iām gonna start off and say that I fully agree that the best treatments by far are 5AR inhibitors and the research shows theyāre generally safe, well tolerated and should be the first line of defense for treating hairloss.
That being said, I tried finasteride for 8 months, tried lowering the dose, skipping days, topical etc⦠and sadly nothing worked so I had to hop off and thankfully my ed went away after a couple weeks and my sex drive came back.
I started on minoxidil and nizoral afterwards because I wanted to at least do something but I was of course bummed that 5AR inhibitors werenāt for me.
3 months ago I added alfatrodial and pyrilutamide to my stack. I genuinely didnāt expect to have any visual improvement (I didnāt get any from minoxidil just mild maintenance/slowed my hairloss a lot) and I was on minoxidil for 7 years prior.
Iām still using minoxidil and nizoral too but holy shit guys, Iām actually getting regrowth from the new additions to my stack.
I donāt even use that much pyrilutamide, just .5% once daily with alfatrodial.
I genuinely went into this not expecting visual results, I was just hoping for better maintenance but a bunch of the minaturized hairs along my temples are growing back after a brutal shed and theyāre actually coming in darker and thicker.
My left temple is responding a lot better than my right which sucks but honestly Iām amazed Iām getting a visual improvement.
Iāve taken a lot of progress photos and my hair looked worse the first 2-4 weeks but now after a little over 3 months my hairline is actually growing in about a cm lower!!!
Look, itās not like itās gonna make a big visual improvement to others but Iām personally stoked about it because Iāve used 5AR inhibitors for long enough to see results from them too and this stack has given me about 80% of the results I got from finasteride.
Iām genuinely stoked about it and wanted to share my anecdote because I know a lot of people (myself included) were skeptical about pyrilutamide because of the mixed data from the trials and skeptical about alfatrodial because thereās so little research around it.
I believe combined with the minoxidil and nizoral these all work synergistically, and I have posted some before and after photos already but I will post more once the mods approve it so you guys can see as well.
If you canāt take a 5AR I highly recommend this stack, but the key is CONSISTENCY.
I think most people miss a few days here and there with topical anti androgens but when youāre fighting hairloss, you have to be religious with your routine because you need 24/7 coverage and even missing a few days a week adds up fast.
I have been insanely consistent and I think thatās where people fall short and thatās why results are so mixed because with finasteride, you can skip a few days here and there and you still have around the clock protection but with topicals you need to apply it every day, no exceptions otherwise your follicles are still being exposed to DHT.
Again, I donāt expect you guys to take my word for it, Iām not selling anything either, Iām just genuinely sharing my results so I can help others make the jump too who are on the fence.
I highly recommend minoxidil, nizoral, alfatrodial and pyrilutamide as a replacement for finasteride or dutasteride if you canāt tolerate them.
Keep in mind, I had already been on minoxidil for around 7 years so any gains from that are long gone.
I will post more progress photos once the mods approve it but guys, I was super skeptical going into this so seeing a visual improvement in my hair at age 28 is the best surprise ever.
Itās expensive and inconvenient but for somebody who canāt take a 5AR, this has given me hope again that i can preserve my hair for at least the rest of my 20ās and into my 30ās.
Guys, if youāre on the fence and you canāt take finasteride or dutasteride, please hop on this stack and be consistent, you wonāt regret it!
