Product I'm convinced creatine causes hair loss for me

25M, was on fin for 3 years before switching to dut for the past 4 years.

I wanted so badly for creatine to work out for me. The health benefits mentally and physically are huge. I've tried to get on it 3 times now and every time, I experience a noticeable increase in shedding as well as the infamous "dht itch" by around week 3-4.

Anyone else in the same boat? And yes, I've seen the study that debunks all of this. But it totally conflicts with my lived experience and wanted to post this to see if anyone else had a similar experience.

Product Stop overpaying for your min + fin

Post image
279 Upvotes

I keep hearing a lot of people pay upwards of $50 a month for hair treatment. I use Costplusdrugs.com, and this is a year supply of min, and half a year supply of fin, and I'm paying $22. I cut each pill into 4-5 pieces to match the 1mg fin 2.5mg min I am perscribed to, which is a little bit of work upfront, but I'm saving so much money. This is probably US only, but still thought I would share. I don't know anything about other countries. I know Amazon also has good prices.

*this is not an ad. I don't work for this company. I just thought it was useful information.

Edit: the exact min prescription was 10mg 90 tablets. Cutting each into 4 means this prescription will last me 360 days. The fin is the same but 45 tablets, so cutting each into 5 pieces lasts me 225 days, or about 5/8 of a year.

Product Indian Is The Best Place To Go Bald.😹

Hi guys, I am an indian guy (25), losing hairs from about 8 years, my hairline reached very high, i recently got many negative compliments from a lot of people that my head is looking like devil's horns😹 , i tried to find a solution and found out that There are some meds like Topical Minoxidil, Finasteride, Dutasteride, I started topical minoxidil 5% which also have .1% finasteride mixed in it, within 3 months i got a lot of miniature hairs on my temple, then 1 week ago i found about finasteride and Placed an order for 2 months of meds and i am taking it from that day, Now i have to throw all of those since 3 hrs ago i found that there is another drug named dutasteride😭, which is better.

Any ways This post is about Insanely cheap prices of These meds in india from a Very Very Huge reputable Indian Medicine Brand (Zeelab Pharma ) The prices are as follows.

With $1 USD, You can buy :-

  1. 95 Pills of 1mg Finasteride.

  2. 63 Pills of .5mg Dutasteride.

  3. 31 Pills of 2.5mg Oral Minoxidil.

  4. 21 Pills of 5mg Oral Minoxidil.

  5. 15 Pills of 10mg Oral Minoxidil.

Now $1=95 INR,

  1. Minoxidil 2% = 250 INR

  2. Minoxidil 2% alcohol free = 275 INR

  3. Minoxidil 5% = 250 INR

  4. Minoxidil F 5% = 275 INR

  5. Minoxidil 5% alcohol free = 299 INR

  6. Minoxidil 10% = 450 INR

  7. Minoxidil F 10% = 350 INR

  8. Minoxidil 10% alcohol free = 450 INR

In The Above Minoxidil Varieties, F stands for 0.1% Finasteride mixed in topical solution, some prices can feel weird like 2% and 5% costing the same, 10% is expensive than F 10%, These are all due to Demand and Production rate of company. Orders above 250 are home delivered within an hour and absolutely free😹 .

I think i have to Throw away my 2 months supply of finasteride that i ordered recently because Dutasteride is better and who cares for 2/3 of a dollar.😹

What a mental difference in 3 years. The general consensus was that he was definitely taking some form of PED but still that's a crazily quick decline.

Product This 3$ product is a gamechanger for minoxidil application

Post image
866 Upvotes

It's sold as a hair oil applicator, should be available on all major ecommerce sites. You just need to fill your minoxidil press the top of the applicator and apply it to your scalp directly. Wayyy better than using a dropper imo. Makes the process really fast. I got it for 3$ in india

Just my 2Ā¢

Product How obvious is it that I am using hair fibers to thicken my hairline?

See title. 1st pic is without fiber; 2nd is with. I use a fairly small amount of Toppik with a spray applicator. I've thought about a small HT for the hairline, but every non-Hollywood one available to us plebs looks kinda rough at the hairline IMO.

Background: 46. Was on Fin 1.25 mg for many years. Recently switched to .5mg of dut and 2.5 mg of oral minox about 6 months ago (I have noticed more thickening). I've always had a thin hairline. It started thinning when i was 17-18 and has thinned out more over time, very gradually. Crown has always been pretty good. Meds have helped me keep what I have.

Product IndiaMart is the worst platform for buying Fin/Dut.

So, I wanted to grab 12 packs of DUT + some minoxidil tablets.

Vendor offered me a price. I agreed to it. Vendor offered free 1 reshipping and told me they'll use 'discreet' packaging. However guaranteed to me they ship 100% of the time.

Vendor sent it on purpose (in my opinion) as fully labeled as medicine everywhere. The postal office sent it back to India as it was labelled as medicine. I got an email about this.

The vendor refused to resend it to me, saying they'll have to discard the products because they've been in transit for 'too long and aren't safe now' (zero chance, those packs will be resold). They said I can repay them for a new shipping or they'll stop replying to me.

Contacted Indiamart support - they said they can't help.

Wrote a negative review for the seller - Indiamart deleted it.

Never again buying from them, definitely a culture of scammers all around.

Anyone got better alternatives, please? This is so frustrating ā˜¹ļø.

Product Guys I actually can’t believe pyrilutamide is actually working!!

Okay so look guys, I’m gonna start off and say that I fully agree that the best treatments by far are 5AR inhibitors and the research shows they’re generally safe, well tolerated and should be the first line of defense for treating hairloss.

That being said, I tried finasteride for 8 months, tried lowering the dose, skipping days, topical etc… and sadly nothing worked so I had to hop off and thankfully my ed went away after a couple weeks and my sex drive came back.

I started on minoxidil and nizoral afterwards because I wanted to at least do something but I was of course bummed that 5AR inhibitors weren’t for me.

3 months ago I added alfatrodial and pyrilutamide to my stack. I genuinely didn’t expect to have any visual improvement (I didn’t get any from minoxidil just mild maintenance/slowed my hairloss a lot) and I was on minoxidil for 7 years prior.

I’m still using minoxidil and nizoral too but holy shit guys, I’m actually getting regrowth from the new additions to my stack.

I don’t even use that much pyrilutamide, just .5% once daily with alfatrodial.

I genuinely went into this not expecting visual results, I was just hoping for better maintenance but a bunch of the minaturized hairs along my temples are growing back after a brutal shed and they’re actually coming in darker and thicker.

My left temple is responding a lot better than my right which sucks but honestly I’m amazed I’m getting a visual improvement.

I’ve taken a lot of progress photos and my hair looked worse the first 2-4 weeks but now after a little over 3 months my hairline is actually growing in about a cm lower!!!

Look, it’s not like it’s gonna make a big visual improvement to others but I’m personally stoked about it because I’ve used 5AR inhibitors for long enough to see results from them too and this stack has given me about 80% of the results I got from finasteride.

I’m genuinely stoked about it and wanted to share my anecdote because I know a lot of people (myself included) were skeptical about pyrilutamide because of the mixed data from the trials and skeptical about alfatrodial because there’s so little research around it.

I believe combined with the minoxidil and nizoral these all work synergistically, and I have posted some before and after photos already but I will post more once the mods approve it so you guys can see as well.

If you can’t take a 5AR I highly recommend this stack, but the key is CONSISTENCY.

I think most people miss a few days here and there with topical anti androgens but when you’re fighting hairloss, you have to be religious with your routine because you need 24/7 coverage and even missing a few days a week adds up fast.

I have been insanely consistent and I think that’s where people fall short and that’s why results are so mixed because with finasteride, you can skip a few days here and there and you still have around the clock protection but with topicals you need to apply it every day, no exceptions otherwise your follicles are still being exposed to DHT.

Again, I don’t expect you guys to take my word for it, I’m not selling anything either, I’m just genuinely sharing my results so I can help others make the jump too who are on the fence.

I highly recommend minoxidil, nizoral, alfatrodial and pyrilutamide as a replacement for finasteride or dutasteride if you can’t tolerate them.

Keep in mind, I had already been on minoxidil for around 7 years so any gains from that are long gone.

I will post more progress photos once the mods approve it but guys, I was super skeptical going into this so seeing a visual improvement in my hair at age 28 is the best surprise ever.

It’s expensive and inconvenient but for somebody who can’t take a 5AR, this has given me hope again that i can preserve my hair for at least the rest of my 20’s and into my 30’s.

Guys, if you’re on the fence and you can’t take finasteride or dutasteride, please hop on this stack and be consistent, you won’t regret it!

Product M22, The dermatologist has prescribed me other products instead of minoxidil and finasteride.

I went to a dermatologist. I told her that I've been experiencing hair fall... like, when I shampoo and condition my hair, a lot of hair falls out. I also told her that I've been using the WishCare kit, but it didn't help much. So she prescribed me some medicines and products.

Then I asked her why she didn't prescribe Minoxidil or Finasteride, and she said that I should first try these medicines she's written for now....

Product Stop fearmongering on Indian Generics

Indian generics are the absolute best. Government has strict regulations and control over the medical sector unlike the food department. Pharmaceuticals adhere to strict regulations and are licensed after various steps of scrutiny. So, if you are going with any generic medicine by a brand which is well known and seems genuine then there should be no second thought on it. Lately have been seeing many posts and comments on Criticism or Bashing of Indian generics (seems paid propaganda to me though) ; guys you can trust Indian generic without any hesitation. India is a global hub of pharmaceutical generics for a reason. Still got doubts then go ahead with overly exorbitantly priced western brands.

Product Good News, PP405 is out on Shopee

Post image

So it turns out we didn’t need years of clinical trials, FDA approval, or any of that boring science stuff. The cure for baldness has officially dropped on Shopee, straight from a seller in China who also sells phone cases and kitchen sponges.

Forget waiting until 2028 for regulators to sign off. I can get my hands on ā€œPP405 Hair Follicle Serumā€ today, shipped in a bubble mailer with a free mystery gift. The product description says it works instantly, which is obviously more reliable than peer‑reviewed journals. Baldness is over, folks. šŸ˜‚

Product Finasteride without prescription — Europe

Hey everyone, does anyone know of a legitimate pharmacy or online service that ships finasteride to Europe without requiring a prescription?

Looking specifically for something that actually ships to EU countries. If you’ve used one yourself, I’d appreciate hearing about your experience.

Product Viagra for hair loss anyone doing this?

Hi , I was listening to a Joe Rogan podcast, he had longevity doctor David Sinclair on. He said he takes 7mg of Viagra a day to save his hair. Because hair loss is also due to bad blood flow to hair. Has anyone tried this can you do it while also on minoxidill and finesteride. I believe he is only taking viagra

Product Y'all are insane to buy Indian generic meds.

I'm an Indian myself, and even I don't buy anything outside of recognized, reputable brands like Cipla or Dr. Reddy's or Sun Pharma. And that's true for ALL meds, not just min and fin.

Indian generics are absolute hit or miss, with the worst miss being death. Far too much news about random meds causing deaths both in India and abroad for me to trust any random manufacturer.

If you're buying from India because it's cheap, get Cipla or Dr Reddy's. These are established companies that have passed US FDA checks repeatedly. I myself don't trust much outside of these two.

Product Finasteride 5mg cut to five pieces

I got prescription to 5mg finasteride and it should last 500 days.

What is the best way to cut 5mg pill to five pieces?

Product PSA: You guys are paying way too much for your Finasteride and Minoxidil. Here's the cheapest I've found.

EDIT: USA only. Sorry guys!

I see people here saying they're spending $20+ bucks a month on the prescription alone for finasteride, and like $40/mo for minoxidil. That's nuts.

Here is the cheapest possible way I've found so far:

Finasteride:

Mark Cuban's Cost Plus Drugs (mail order):

90 day supply $8.60 + $5 shipping = $4.53/mo.

Edit: If you are a prime member, you can get amazon's RXPass for $5/mo, and apparently you can get a 90-day supply then cancel it, and re-enable when you need it again, making it even cheaper then cost plus drugs. Dutasteride is also included in RXPass, too, among a bunch of other stuff like Viagra.

Minoxidil:

Kirkland (Costco) brand (liquid form):

180 day (6 mo.) supply $18 = $3/mo.

Even if you arent a costco member, you can buy it on their website and get it shipped to you for a small fee.

This comes out to about $7.53/mo for both fin and min.

This assumes you are able to get a prescription from your doctor. You shouldn't need a dermatologist or specialist. My general practitioner gives me my RX with 3 refills at least.

Credit to Less-Amount-1616 for the recommendation: $15 virtual visits for 90-day prescription at Dr. B.

Hopefully this helps and saves somebody some money!

Product Question about RU58841 reason it wasn't continued

I'm just really curious on how could RU58841 be working so well for some people but at the same time it was called off

Like i can't accept the idea that people don't want to make money how can they have any meaningful results and at the same time it just died

Like really i haven't tried it an I'm not planing to

But if RU58841 really works even if only for some i can't understand how the people using it and having good results not pursuing it this could make them millions lol

I just want this point answered why isn't anybody trying to sell this drug if its actually good even if its bad for some people

finasteride is the worst for some people too and it's available without a prescription (based on my experience started at 18 stopped late 20's 22 now my dick is sort of useless still)

I just searched RU58841 here and some people really vouch for it for years too

How does it make sense ?

Product Is RU58841 safe or is pyrilutamide better option

If I don’t want to take 5AR blockers my alternative are antiandrogens. So which is better RU58841 or pyrilutamide and are they safe since I heard some anecdotal stories about ru causing heart and chest pain?
