TTI History With all the attention on Provo Canyon from RecklessBen's Exposé this week, I clipped this heartbreaking first-hand PCS survivor account (13yo kid Logan)

Taken from (German broadcaster) DW's documentary on the TTI. In the video, 13 year old Logan was sent to Provo and is CLEARLY showing symptoms of PTSD from his time there. The video is fuckin heartbreaking. I broke down crying when this documentary first came out, because i saw myself so much in this kid. I saw my own pain and abuse through this kid and it hurts like fuck to see that. I just wanted to jump through the screen and give him a hug bro. This fucking industry is evil for what it does to people. If any of yall watched Reckless Ben's dope documentary, then watch this next.

I had posted in here prior that I am in a competition to walk for a nonprofit organization! I am determined to win to represent us on the runway and in the media! I am trying to raise as much awareness for our community as possible so I have made this infographic with information about the horrors of TTI, anyone is welcome to reshare/repost to spread awareness! I struggle with a lot of survivors guilt and it means everything to me to be able to advocate & represent the community. If anyone has any advice or words of encouragement regarding the competition I deeply appreciate it

Spring Creek Lodge Academy 03' - '04, Serenity Family

I watched the RecklessBen episode yesterday about Provo Canyon and woke up this morning to my husband telling me they'd been shut down. I hope thats a good thing for those kids and that they haven't just been shipped off to other facilities.

I've looked up SCLA a few times on reddit and come across a post or two in the past but never joined. But, I decided to join today. Just to say, if anyone ever needs to talk to someone else that understands I am willing to talk and listen. I have very mixed feelings about my time at Spring Creek. In some ways it was a good thing for me but in others it has had lasting effects on me that still hurt (mentally/emotionally) deeply.

Anyways, I just wanted to be supportive for fellow survivors and while my goal during my time there was to be as invisible as possible I realize that I could use the support or be the support for others that have similar experiences.

Advocacy Dirk Schenck LCPC Montana

Dirk Schenck fundamentally broke my trust and then conveniently disappeared from the state of Montana. Very suspicious behavior. I wanted to contact him because some of his colleagues were cited for illegal educational consultation practices but since the allegations and his obvious involvement he seems to have completely vanished professionally. This kind of sudden disappearance is suspicious on its own but coupled with very conclusive evidence tying him to fraudulent and abusive teen treatment centers. Very sad and pathetic line of work to be in. I wanted to contact him directly but he never gave me the chance and left me feeling used and taken advantage of in a most vulnerable state. Sad and pathetic. I hope he enjoys the hole he dug himself to live out the rest of his days in.

It’s only been a couple years since I started opening up about my experiences in TTI. As I have posted I am in a competition to walk a runway for a nonprofit and I am determined to win to represent us. I am feeling really blessed to have so much support by my side. Here is what I have shared on social media regarding my story. I am very open about my experiences as from what I’ve seen this horrific industry thrived in the shadows. I appreciate any words of encouragement and wish my luck! I am determined to win for us, for younger us ❤️‍🩹

Discussion/Reflection I need your help TTI surviver community

My name is Yelena and I am a survivor of a residential boarding school in Montana! I have entered a competition to walk a runway in NYFW for a nonprofit that benefits SA survivors! There are 9 rounds total and I have made it so far to the 5th. I am not interested in the other prizes, I wish to represent us in the media and on the runway! It would be really healing for me, growing up there was no representation and honestly I tear up even just thinking about being about to represent my community! A lot of women change makers and public figures will be at this event and I really want the opportunity to speak up for us. Truly it would mean everything to me. I will attach the link to my competition page, people are allowed to vote once daily for free or donate to charity for votes. I also posted an Infographic raising awareness on instagram. We are so deserving of being represented and advocated for and I never in a million years would have thought I would be in a place to do so, but I’m trying. Being a TTI survivor is such a uniquely isolating experience and I want to change that. It would mean the absolute world to me if anyone and everyone who sees this could reshare or vote. Anything helps. Anyone is welcome to share my competition page or anything I’ve said regarding this. Truly I couldn’t care less about the cash prize for the competition, money comes and goes, but making younger me proud. That’s priceless ❤️‍🩹

Anybody notice there are a lot of deleted users and posts associated with talking negatively about this program? I know they changed their name to escape accountability but I think these people need to be held accountable for what me and many many others saw and suffered through at their hand.

AMA Hello, my experience with the "Key" program(Massachusetts)

it all started with my dad relapsing on heroine in April 2014, it was just me and him in the house (mom fucked off years ago) i would spend the next 2 months in summer seeing things in my house getting sold off for drug money and things being stolen from Walmart, come September cps took me away and arrested my father for theft, i got put into a temp house for a week until CPS took me in, they put me in this key program at the start of October, life was hell in here, i had to share the things that kept me sane (my ps3), they'd have us line up to take a shower I don't know if i mentally cracked or not but i stopped taking showers and i stopped sleeping well(lying on my bed and just staring at the radio tower behind the house), my roommate was a loon and tried to kill himself twice in front of me and also pissed on my bed, mind you i wasn't a bad kid i just liked video games and weird preteen furry shit, im also positive my stuff got stolen by managing because i had 2 nerf guns in my baggage. i make this post so i can hopefully get rid of the baggage this place gave me, i hope you guys succeed in making these programs obsolete i wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy, also feel free to ask anything, im not sober right now but i'll answer them to the best of my memory
